Braves should rock Canning and their pen tonight. He's carrying a 6.49 ERA last 6 starts and gave up 4 to the Nats in his last start and 6 to the rockies in a prior start this month. His Home ERA is still not good at 4.56 in 13 starts, and he's given up 10 homers and 32 walks in those games. Atlanta averages 4.48 runs on the road and have scored 5 runs or more in 6 of their last 9. Atlanta should find a way to bust out here tonight.

Kids 1st day of school, High school for my older kids in NC, Middle school for one here and 2 in Elementary starting 1st and 3rd grades today, 2 doctor appts later for the baby and Mom, busy day. Will be around later today after umpire announcements come out to see if there other plays. GL
 
***1st Umpire Over is ⭐️Mets/Orioles Over 8.5 with Marvin Hudson who avg 9.6 runs and is 13-6 Over. Both teams have been scoring well since the ASB with the Orioles averaging 5.38 runs per game and the Mets 4.41 runs. The starter for the O's should give up at least his avg to the mets tonight as he is 0-2, 8.16 ERA in 3 Starts. The over is 3-0 in his start, and is on a 21-9 tear for Balty, while the mets are 6-2 over last 8. Both bullpens have struggled lately with the Mets at 18th with a 4.14 ERA and O's at 14th with a near 4 ERA, so runs should be scored throughout.

***2nd Umpire Over is ⭐️Pittsburgh/Texas Over 8.5-115 with Adrian Johnson who is 15-7 Over on a very high 11 runs per with a very low 2.06 SO/BB W/63% strikes. Both teams avg over 4 runs in August with Rangers at 4.44 runs and Pirates at 4 runs in their last 15 games. Ortiz carries a 6.33 ERA his last 4 while Dunning just got shelled for 5 runs in 4 IP vs Boston. The Over is 14-6 for Pitt and 17-7 for Texas so runs will be scored especially with a very helpful umpire. I was on the fence before having this game right at 9 runs but could see an added 1-2 runs thanks to AJ. It is a top play.

Texas also changed from Urena to Dunning so I had to go back and do this again...

***3rd Umpire Over is Chicago/SF Over 7.5-120 with Andy "Rainmaker" Fletcher. 21-3 Over, 13 runs a game. I had this game getting to the total but Andy fletcher is working. Nuff said, he is the master of squeezing out 1, 2, or 8 more runs.
 
While I am big on Astros tonight, I think Boston has the opportunity to easily hit their average of 5 runs per game which is 4th in MLB. Interestingly, Kikuchi has given up 5 to these red sox in each of his last 3 starts against Boston, and carries a bad 6.75 in six starts vs Boston. He has been great for Houston in 3 starts with a 2.7 ERA but he's due for some regression and this is a team familiar with his pitches. This feels like a 8-6 type Astros win, or if Boston wins, its a bit of insurance if its a high scoring game as most indications point to.

Overs hitting at a ridiculous rate lately. See you have many overs. Only pick I don't like is the Reds. Berrios is 8-2 in 12 starts at home, and the Blue Jays are 10-2 when he takes the mound at home. Spiers 1-2 on the road.

Thank you, it's been an exciting run the last month or so. I do understand the lean towards Jays. i did notice the + trend with him at home, but I'm also looking at his 5.00 Expected ERA, which is 1.15 points higher than his actual. Like I thought with Kikuchi last night by playing the sox over while betting big on astros, he is due for regression. Berriors also struggles with Cincy, as he is 0-2, 5.27 in three starts vs Cincinnati. Spiers hasnt faced Toronto, advantage Spiers. Pitchers always start with the inherent advantage at first, may take a few AB's for the Jays to start hitting. If it comes down to Bullpens, Cincy has the huge edge and rested, with Toronto's 4.94 pen ERA (28th in MLB) and allowed the most homers (72) in MLB is a recipe for disaster against a young, aggressive reds team that is fighting for the playoffs. Cincy's pen comes in ranked 7th with a 3.6 ERA, 7th in WHIP (1.23), 460 K's (11th) and 153 walks (7th). That's just my reasoning but I could be wrong like i am a lot of the time.

Congrats. Reds look terrible early. Jays had a good scouting report on Spiers tonight. Watching the reds broadcast it was funny to hear them opine the ball is flying much better tonight (obviously with all the homers). They said the dome being shut tonight seemed to have helped as ball wasnt traveling well during BP with dome open but now they closed it with impending weather and the ball is magically flying. And as i type, Jays go Back to back again. 4 homers already? Least the over is about to cash early LOL

There's a good reason why guys like Fletcher (and Drekman) avgs 13 run in his games, While most avg ~8. It's not luck; it's his K Zone which squeezes pitches, forces walks (eventually runs) and his generates runs...He's made some of us RICH just pounding his overs since i caught on to him. Hope we carries the torch again for us today! 6 Overs qualify with Umpires today that are good for hitters.

Looks like a good day of baseball and a decent card today with more runs today. GL

Yet ANOTHER Andy fletcher over cashes. 22-3 Over. Did I say enough how much I've made off this guy this year? he used to be a big under ump in 2022 and before.....big time. 5-22 over one year....
 
I wouldnt play this one too big with the wind blowing in, and Estabrook umping this game--he's the andy fletcher for pitchers, can make Kenta Maeda look like Nolan Ryan. But the situation and matchup with gas can Cueto, who hasnt pitched in a year going....it calls for this one getting to 10 runs so it's a play. More confident with the royals-1 obviously...In the 3 Lorenzon starts for KC, he is 2-1 over and the over is 16-8 for the royals, and 8 of their last 9 home games. Kaufman is a hitters park, luckily the breeze in is light at 5mph but the humidity is very high 75% which can aid the ball and how much is jumps....

I have this game getting to the 8 number but with Skenes going runs could be at a premium for reds. Waiting on Umpire info, if its a guy like Fletcher I may go bigger on it, for now its a smaller play. The over has hit 4 of the last 5 games for reds, and 8 of their last 10 road games while the over wasnt as friendly to pirates on the road, the over has cashed in the last 5 straight Pittsburgh home games.

PA, you're a great capper. Tune out the outside noise and focus on you.
 
All morning Tor was undecided who the opener was so i was waiting to see if i'd go bigger on this and I do like it more now. With Ryan Burr (first start-coming out of pen to start) as opener and Yarborough as long relief, Angels should be able to at least match their average run total of 4 per game, if not exceed it easily and Jays should be able to hit Canning who has a 9 ERA. Yabrorugh hasn't gone more than two innings in any of his first four appearances with Toronto, and only 3 innings once with Dodgers. Jays could be on their 3rd guy from the pen very early, possibly 5th inning. Jays pen already has been worked, 4 IP, 2, and 4 again last night. Like the angels team total a lot more too but just going to hit the game over bigger here. This game should fly past 10 runs like last night and with Jiminez as ump, he wont be a hindrance, he might actually help a bit but not enough to qualify as an umpire call this year. He's 14-11 Over on an avg 9 runs per on 64% K and 2.9 SO/BB ratio so not great, but prob not going to hurt the hitters much here, not like a Estabrook or Rob Drake..

⭐️Angels/Jays Over 8.5 is now a top play (played above)...juice went down 2 cents. -118 for those nitpicky and those that care for some reason

Watch out for a particular poster that’s a stickler and part time fireman and does that questioning the line stuffs not all the time but keeps a close eye on it

Was asked on a forum why Guardians---Thoughts on the Guardians? Could be a tough matchup

Here's why:

for me its like this. Eovaldi is 0-3, 7.20 in his last three starts. Bibee is 3-1, 1.98 in his last five starts (Guards 7-3 last 10 bibee starts). Bibee also owns Texas hitters, posting a 1.62 ERA in three starts vs Texas. The guards have consistently scored runs, averaging 4.55 runs and 7.86 hits per game, with a team BA of .238 and an OBP of .308. Clev is also very good in the field, maintaining a +75 run differential, while limiting opponents to an average of 3.95 runs and 7.67 hits per game. The Rangers are BRUTALLY bad in road openers. 3-14 last road openers. I would not rush to the window to back the rangers, in fact, all the reasons above, is why I put my faith in Clev. All the #'s and H2H, with this situation point to a bounceback win for Clev.
