Week 2 What Are We Learning

People will look back and blame Cousins for not being ready in a prime time game. In reality he was one of the few Vikings who really showed up last night and he willed his team to be in a game that they had no business being in late.

Two games in and the Eagles have let two teams get back into games they had big leads on. Something to watch for sure.

He could win four Super Bowls at this point and I'll still H8

One of the biggest bags to "succeed" in the league

Yes I grew up a Vikes fan and he's the epitome of mediocrity which turns out to be a great career. He's set the franchise so far back they still don't even know they need a foundation yet.

Also when you 49 somethings strain you calf tying to ball up at the Y

Rest assured that's your Achiles begging you to sit the fk down

Don't battle Father Time, you will lose and it will be expensive in both time and finances. Rest and respect your calf.

Good post

Rams got really really beat up in that game. If Cinci loses their season is over.
The stat being quoted in Pittsburgh this week was that teams playing the week after they played the Niners last year went 0-14. Niners are physical and do inflict some damage. Steelers lost Cam Heyward. Diontae Johnson, and have a couple of other guys dinged up.

Early Line Has Rams +6.5

Rams had 1 guy taken off the field and that was Noteboom. Puka had been dealing with an oblique from the Seattle game but he finished the game. Not 1 other Ram of noteworthy left the game.
Loved how this young Rams kept Stafford clean all game. Only 1 sack. Running game looked good. Puka is a beast and once he has Kupp out there he’ll be even better. Absolutely loved how McVay stuck it up the Whiner backers with the late FG. He has them going in the right direction already.

Cowboys had the ball for 42 minutes, 83 plays, 26 first downs, 9 for 18 on 3rd down. They took what was available in the passing game, with Dak throwing for under 7 YPA. Throwing to anyone other than Lamb, Dak was 20-25 but for a paltry 112 yards. They'll need a healthy Cooks or for Tolbert to step up in the playoffs. Favored by 12.5 next week at Arizona, yikes.

Zach Wilson was not awful considering the opponent. He was harassed all game but made a few plays with his legs. Jets running game was 11 for 28 yards. They should look better against NE.

I'll remind everyone now that the Bengals started 0-2 last year as well, losing in Week 2 to Cooper Rush. Rams present a nice get well opportunity.

Ravens offense was pretty solid. Lamar distributing the ball all around, playing clean. No sacks, no picks, no fumbles. Big win, but now they get a letdown game against the Colts before back to back division matchups on the road.

Ridder threw 32 passes (big surprise) in a shallow tree to only 5 guys (much appreciated). Even bigger surprise was his scrambling...39 yards with a TD. Should've known London would get some squeaky wheel production. Falcons moved the ball well, got into Packer territory on 7 of 9 possessions. Ran 78 plays vs 47 for Green Bay. 446 yards!

Love was efficient but the offense collapsed in the fourth quarter. Without Watson or Jones can't really argue about 24 points.

Bills were pretty thorough in their domination of the Raiders. 40 minutes TOP, 450 yards, 10 for 17 on 3rd and 4th downs. Allen made some vintage Allen throws, including a side arm bullet to Shakir for a TD on his only catch. Allen loves throwing to TEs, 11 targets on the day. AND they totally shut down Jacobs. Can somewhat chalk up Raiders sad display to it being a 10 am game.

Game was in LA, McVay was looking after his local Lambs gambling constituents.

LeSquare had that +7.

Bitch move but that's what the bitter little man does...

Has anyone else noticed that Tua RARELY progresses through his reads? In watching the game tonight, 90% of the time he quickly throws to the first and only receiver he locks onto. Out of the 20 snaps I watched carefully of his, he threw to his first read 18 times.

Local news are coming unglued about the Cards' collapse

It was perfect, such a news fail

0-2 is ideal

The 2023 versions of the Bears, NYJ, Chargers & Broncos are eerily reminiscent of the 2022 Bears, NYJ, Chargers & Broncos with the exception of Russell Wilson's first 3 possessions today.

Perfection

Describes the first two weeks of the Cards' season. Look very good then lose, this is how the league works. You keep us interested just enough for the draft. Bout time this team did it dirty

2nd week in a row a team kicked a fg at end the game that had nothing to do with winning but everything to do w covering a spread! Last week it was Vrabel who I thought could actually just be so dumb he didn’t realize a fg down 4 didn’t tie the game! This week we can’t even blame the stupidity of a guy who has taken lot of hits to the head cause Mcvey not stupid, he kicked the fg down 10 on the last play of the game so there was no chance of a onside kick then Hail Mary, had he kicked it with any time on the clock maybe I could be sold that bs but it was the last play! There no explanation other than to cover a spread! Shit has reached a whole new level of shady, why else kick that fg?

I never woulda believed this but firing kellen Moore so mccarthy could take over as playcaller was actually the right move! I’m shocked I gotta say this but dude has become a fantastic play caller.

cards giving giants that game to secure their pick on top the draft the only win giants will have after 6 weeks! They had to throw that game cause had they won giants would have been able to challenge them for the worst record! Holy shit was I wrong bout this team! Of course if/when giants did get a top 2 pick I assume they will trade it since they just gave a below avg qb a huge chunk of money!!

CBS flashed that stat yesterday of Mahomes completing passes to 11 different receivers, in back to back games.

I learned that seems really incredible. Or maybe I'm just naive to the level QBs spread the ball around.

Patriots suck.

Skins should be 0-2. Not sure if this is the week to fade them +7 at home but they should come crashing down to reality soon.

Regarding McVay’s decision to kick the fg, is everyone ok with Stafford attempting to throw a TD from 21 yards out on the last play and covering the spread? Of course they are because there’s a low probability he scores vs a chip shot 38 yard fg. Either score doesn’t matter so why not take 3 instead? McVay is one of the more high character classy individuals in the NFL, and 9er fans are acting like he’s scumb because he wasn’t sensitive towards the spread & 9ers wagers being flushed down the toilet.

If anyone is holding a 30 year anniversary for the last Whiners SB please let me know.

It was an all-time scumbag move. He's become very bitter about playing in a city that worships his daddy.

My sense is the Dolphins run a lot of timing routes so Tua doesn't really need to make a set of reads. Some of them involve setting up WRs to flash past a defender into a second window opened up by the route scheme. Tua stares all day at those, waiting for the opening.

Rivers was another one of those QBs. I can recall watching Rivers and the Colts stats on Yahoo and it looked like they would pass to at least 8 different players on the first 9 or 10 throws. He has like 10 kids so maybe he played QB the same way.....nobody gets a second target until everyone has had one.
