Week 2 What Are We Learning

I'll quote you since this is the last post about it...

My initial thought...

The FG goes through with 1 seond left.

The onside also has a defensive penalty.

That leaves an untimed down for a hail mary.

Yes, the chances of all this happening are slim to none, but we've seen crazy things in this league.

The other thing -- and he may not have been thinking this at all -- tiebreakers at the end of the year (points for or point differential?)

The one thing I am pretty sure of -- he wasn't concerned with the spread.

Point differential has never come into play but it is like the 7th tie breaker or something like that?

Social media has ripped this guy apart. He has become the face of anyone screaming rigged. VP of football operations for the Rams fielding nonstop questions about it, some books refunded wagers. Just not a good look at all for the league. I don’t know what you do once Stafford spikes the ball with 4 seconds left. You go back out and take a knee? Makes sense to not want to risk an injury and run a real play. But the damage was done not a good look.

I had the Niners and was not exactly thrilled about the result but what book refunded wagers which is ridiculous.

Books refunded wagers on this!?!?

Wtf.

We've seen so many worse beats.

The RAMS COVERED the spread for 56 of the 60 minutes in this game.

That was the CORRECT wager on that game.

SF -7.5 bad bet. That would have been one of those that you recap as being very lucky to cover.

The whole refunding of wagers is ridiculous (these new bettors crying over injuries -- prop bets).

Really out of control at this point.
I’m not in the industry but I bet alotta members at CTG couldn’t bet at those shops or could only get minimal action down and likely would have a bad experience either way.

These places probably see it as a “freebie” to entice these kinds of players to keep playing their shop, right?
