Over in Philadelphia. The Sox have the right kinda lineup to get runs off Moyer, and the Phillies clobber LHP at home.

Strong lean to the Rangers based on the line. Clearly the books want people on Atlanta when they make Padilla and Hudson a toss-up.

Nats 5inn

FLA/SEA UNDER 8

Mets ML: Santana at a +, have to take it, Mets hitting well right now.
Atlanta ML: Atlanta's starting rotation is too banged up for Tim Hudson to be losing games to Texas. And I think Atlanta will light up Padilla.
Seattle ML: King Felix.

Played a couple of home favorites. Baltimore listed minus 32 cents and Brewers listed minus eighteen cents. Still respect Toronto and Houston but Backe just does not have good road games and Baltimore is a healthy reasonable team that does very well in first game of a home series. Brewers---? Feel I owe Parra a bet. Brewers awesome at home on Tuesday and Dustin not too good on the road or at night. Could see losing these games but think the spreads are unreasonably cheap. Really hate to bet against Houston after the last game but Backe on the road with a sick Houston team going up vs a fairly good leftie. You look at some of Houston's road wins vs lefthanders and see them beating Zito, Misch, Gabbard and Hill and its hard to give them real weight. Later.

Crazy card just thinking outloud....

Who isnt going to like the Yanks tmrw ? Wolf has been great and riding that train for awhile but SD still not a great option when facing a LHSP . Even scarier Ithink in 07 and 08 the Yanks are something like 23-3 after scoring 10 runs the previous game ! Thinking over 9 @ NYY and 1st 5 over .

Sort of with Tuck here to fade Houston after that 13-0 loss because Houston hasnt done much on the road especially vs LHP. Thinking over here but not sure the price is fair for Balt so still leaning Houston.

Over @ Reds 9 and 1st 5 over . Cueto is inconsistent and allows alot of Hrs while Billingsley has been less then stellar his past 2 starts .

Fade Philly in game 2 trend ?? Should be some offense here over 10.

Thinking Cubs with Dempster .

Probably fade ATL after the game in LAA , then COL now Texas. Hudson in a bandbox

Torn in Milw. First instinct was to play MILW but McGowan we real good last time out . Under ?

Thinking UNDER @ Minny. Livan actually has sick startsvs Wash in 07 and 06 despite his huge slump I may lean that way. Lannan very good away but just 3-5 2..20 ERA though.....Ywinkies find ways to lose vs LHP thogh stronger lean Under

Over @ Wsox

Cards ml??

Over @ Colorado ?

Think I really like OAK ML. Justin to tough on RHB.

Might prefer LAA and under . Mets almost blew this one and probably feel the fatigue today .

Under 8 Seattle and maybe SEA

Det ML- Gamler is hot and while Sanchez is as well like DET lineup more ....

Pretty sold on Cubs and maybe Cubs series . Over might be attractive as well. Kazmir has faced no one and tired his last outing and through alot of pitches . All teams weak vs LHP and Cubs even minus Soriano sport some lofty avgs 344 Soto and DeRosa , 329 Lee , Theriot 323 , R.Johnson 309 , Ramirez 284 , Fuki even 263 worried who else plays guessing Edmonds has to and not sure who the DH will be . Pena out means Aybar starts and while he hits LHP he is 6-40 vs RHP and 150 huge dropoff and Crawford takes another tough LH out. Dempster has been sick on 6 days and while I highly respect Kaz the Cubs lineup should be tougher and what Kaz I done is highly due to the opposition Texas twice , LAA and NYY at home plus LAA away , Oak and Boston...soft competition...

Red Sox 1B Kevin Youkilis was scratched from the lineup because of muscle spasms in the middle of his back. Manny Ramirez was 0-for-4 in his return after missing two games with a sore hamstring

just something to keep an eye on

Got some money seats to the Twins/Nationals game tonight. Anyone suggest a good bet here?

Not picking a side as yet in the Phillie game but I say again there is no fade Phillie in game 2 trend. That was a mistake I made earlier in the season. Its a days of the week item. Frequently the second day of series had came out on Wednesday when they fail regularly. Today both sides are strong in that situation with a lean to Phillie at 5-0 to Boston at 4-2. Also regarding Dempster what I see is that on 5 days rest the situation today he is 24-24 with a 4.69 era and with 6 or more days rest he is 4-8 with a 6.37 era. Now honestly I am not sure any of that means anything as he is clearly on a career best pitching streak this year.

TIGERS -118
I'll go with Tigers. They started playing. They swept White Sox and Dodgers. And pitching was the best in the season. Rogers has in last three starts ERA 1,64. And the quality between these two teams is huge. Detroit will catch playoffs and they know this. I think its time...

Tough to dismiss 3-8 at home in Game 2 soley as days of the week. I think it boils down to the fact they are going to win most of the series they play in. By winning game 1 at a near automatic rate they basically have to split the nex two games . I think the way game 2 has worked for them is most of them they have there weak link Starting whether its Kendrick on the roads or Moyer and Eaton , Myers on the road or when he ws in a big funk.

So I broke it down -
3 game series 5-12 in Game 2 :
Kendrick 3-2
Hamels 2-3
Myers 0-2
Eaton 0-2 (1-5 if we include 4 game sets )
Moyer 0-3

The reason kendrick has done well is simple look at his past 10 starts and Philly win rate . So he has won his 3 last Game 2 starts aftre losing the first two. Hamels having 2 wins in obvious as he is stud ace who doesnt matter who he matches with and the other 3 are 0-7 . Kendrick is 10-1 L11 starts and the lose was nothing to do with him as he pitched the 1st inning led 2-0 and was unable to return after a rain delay . Only other losses all year 2-1 at home to Oswalt then lost @ Shea because of 6 walks and 6 unearned . Talk about ubder the radar .

2 games series 2-0 in game 2 but its a different scenario in2 game sets.

4 game sets 1-3 all Eaton starts

So basically in Game 2's of 3 or 4 games series the Phills are 1-10 w/o there 2 best SP going . The lone win 3-2 at home .

Which all this means jack shit for tonight 's game but just a comment .

With Dempster I dont weigh any stats except 2008 , his pen starts are irrelevant as are his stats the last time he started . Still leaning to that play though:shake:

Note the pitcher organization for the Cubs in the Tampa series. First Dempster. Zambrano---and then the day before they play the WS at home Gallagher their weakest road pitcher. The war seems to be in games 1 and 2 with Lou setting up to go into the WS series on a loss.

LAD @ Cincy :

Despite it being Jr nite in Cincy cant see much reason to take the REDS . Last 14 games they have scored more then 4 runs just 4 times and 3 of them came vs LHSP. The only time in this span which featured 10 games started by RHP did they eclipse 4 runs was when Piniero started . However despite the 6 spot they had just 3 hits and 2 runs in 5 innings off him they other 4 came in 1 inning mostly off LH relievers Villone and FLores . Past 10 games only 195 vs RHSP. They have scored 15 runs at home in the past 6 games all vs RHSP and 10 runs in the previous 4 away games started by RHSP. Thats just 25 runs in 10 games or 2.5 per game.

Billingsley loves the road. Last 5 away 34 innings 8 runs allowed 22hits and actually his last outing @ SD was the worst in that span allowing 4 runs and 8 hits in 7 innings . In 2007 he was 8-3 with a 2.59 ERA compared to 4.24 at home. He pitched very well at home vs this reds lineup.

Cueto is inconsistent and coming off one his worst starts walking 8 . Both SP have higher ERAs at night so liking this over despite obvious offensive struggles. His ERA is 1 run higher at nite but his BAA is 100 pts higher in just 2 inning smore.(218 vs 305) . Same can be said for his home and away splits basically he is not good on the road and while his BAA is low at 222 at home I feel its skewed from his first few home starts. Both SP on lnger rest and Cueto's BAA rises 30 points so far in that sitution. Neither pen is impressive IMO.

LAD ML and over 8.5 ...crazy number for GABP without an elite SP in the mix.

Yeah agree. I was think Cubs for the series having Dempster face Kaz and then Zambrano vs Sonnastine leaving Shields to gobble up Gallagher . TB has won 8 straight series at home and they dont have much of an edge here and probably be decent sized favs ...:shake:

Just read a totally sick stat. Arizona has 2 wins this year vs currently over 500 teams. Webb both times of course.

Houston @ Balt :

Price is ABSURD . Suddenly we went from 120 and 130s vs Pitt to 150 vs Houston ??

Houston is built to hit LHSP. Plain and simple. They have been in a long funk on offense and that is why they didnt hit the LHs in Milw and Pitt last road trip because they didnt hit anything that trip at all.

Off an embarrassing 13-0 loss which I am sure had alot of people chasing Houston that Sunday with Oswalt .

Miguel Tejada returns home . Cecil Cooper disgusted after that Sun loss . Which I watched and credit Houston for busting there asses and hustling just an everything that could go wrong did.

Olsen starts at home Wash , TB , NYY and Boston. Not exactly teams flooded with RHB's . Boston lineup was in a funk at the time and he went 5 inninsg allowing 3 runs and Balt pen should some humanity in the Pitt series.

Backe has nevre been a road warrior but he also has lost 3 1 run games away this year and managed to win in Texas . He has some decent starts and really 1 maybe 2 terrible ones such @ Philly and @ Milw. He is serviceable .

Just expect some runs but prefer Houston ML perhaps +1.5 RL .

Going to be all over Oakland ML .

LHB 236 vs .192 for RHB and OAK is filled with LHBs. Last year 272 vs 199 .

Webb departs after five innings: Diamondbacks SP Brandon Webb had his shortest outing of the season Wednesday against the Mets. Hit on the right hip by Carlos Delgado's line-drive single during a three-run fourth, Webb departed for a pinch hitter in the sixth. "I'll be all right tomorrow. It's just a bit sore. It hurt for a moment," Webb said. "I've been throwing a lot of pitches, a lot of innings. I didn't have my best stuff. Maybe I'm going through a dead arm a little -- my velocity is down." He threw 40 of his 58 pitches for strikes in five innings. Webb allowed five hits and no walks while striking out four. He was in line for the loss before Arizona tied the game at 3 in the ninth

The road splits arent as good but 202 BAA at night and 194 vs RHB which is the makeup of Zona.

OAK ML might be favorite play of the day especially after Zona was handled by KC.

Texas, Milwaukee, Oakland, and Colorado all seem like fishy lines.

Well I really Texas . Padilla gets run support , Hudson tends to allow of hits and that is dangerous in Texas , ATL still like 10-25 away and road chalk , and ATL playing 3rd game in 3rd different city ......oh and ATL pen is just as bad as Texas maybe worse ....over ....but Definetly like Texas.

Love Oakland see other post .

Like Toronto. McGowan was filthy last time out and Milw sputtering offensively lately . Parra improving at home but facing an AL lineup nowand the pen in Milw lackluster still.

I guess hard to back COL but Byrd throw that slop in Coors .....oh my ...thinking overcertainly but can see how the home team bounces back here ....everyone hates them after yesterday.....

13 away wins for Cle :
Lee 7
Carmona 2
Sabathia 1
Byrd 1
Laffey 1
Westbrook 1

So just 3 wins away from the backend of its rotation. Byrd bad matchup one bad start @ Coors back in 99 and well reynolds was tough at home before the SF outing . Byrd L5 starts 34 hits 22 runs in 26.1 innings .....Cle minus its middle of the lineup.

He is 1-5 with a 6.75 ERA in seven road starts and has yielded an AL-worst 17 home runs.

All depends on the Col LHB 322 ,322 and 369 is the BAA Byrd vs LHB's Last 3 years !

SD @ NYY :

Been riding the Randy Wolf train often of late ever since he started to break his funk @ Seattle . He has done well on the road for the most part pitching in some tough parks.

Big thing for me is how the Yanks worked the Houston staff on Sunday . I mean the key to that entire GAME was Jason Giambi's atbat in the 3rd inning . He fouled off pitch after pitch after pitch to work a walk to load the bases which happened after two were out . It was only a 9 pitch ab I believe but if you watched it was basically Oswalt throwing as hard as he could 94MPH and Giambi saying you cant beat me . Then Posada had a good ab worked a walk to force in a run and the Cano hit a blooper the other way as his bat shattered and NYY was up 3-0 on nothing . Oswalt throw a 117 or 188 pitches in 5.2 innings . Remember what I said earlier this year about the Yanks struggles at home plate ? How unbelievably low there walks per game were and how they were swinging at way to many 1st pitches . Well on Sunday they saw 193 pitches ! The day before 154 pitches and Wandy had 87 after 5 innings . If you think about the normal pitch count you would expct 115 to 130 pitches in a game. So they are locked in IMO.

Wolf has struggled with LHB this year allowing a 300+ BAA and 1.80 WHIP. Not a good sign IMO.

NYY is 22-4 since the start of 2007 when winning and scoring 10+ runs in there next game and 14-9-3 to the over . They are 4-0 at home (1-5 when he missed) vs LHSP if Arod is in the lineup and were 15-6 in 2007 at home vs LHP.

SD is 4-9 away vs LHP .

Of all the times to not see an ugly number they open this -165 and its about -185 now. How did it open below -200 ? This would probably be fair at -220.

Look at Edwar , Mo , Farnsowrth , Hawkins , & Veras Last 3 appearances for each combine to go:
15.2 Inn 5 h 1 run (off Mo) 8bb 17 K......

Yanks ML ( probably like the RL but not certain) and like the over 9......

Also pretty big game for NYY as Rasner off a bad start faces Peavy . In Game 3 Joba squares off against Josh Banks. So for NYY to win this series big matchup here ...

like Yankees moneyline good work sportsnut--

Yankees when they are discilined can work any staff and Petitte played brilliant at Oakland--

Wolf has good number but has faced anemic offenses also lke Zona, and Giants--

I can tel you bro that Arizona laying chalk is suicide, they cannot score they have great pitching but real bad hitting, fade randy johnosn he is done

Boston @ Philly :

Really tough game here . Tuck and I pointed out the problems possible with backing Philly in Game 2 's. We have differing opinions but I think we both have solid points so hard to say what is really clear.

If Boston doesnt win here then they have hope Masterson can beat Kendrick and as odd as that sounds Kendrick is 10-1 L11 starts losing the game he exited due to the rain delay after 1 inning which he actually lead 2-0 . Later Philly feel 6-5 and his other home loss was a great start vs Oswalt which he lost 2-1 . So huge game here for Boston .....

Problem is Lester is showing quite a dropff in road games but difference is at least the DH doesnt come into play . Neither team hitting much of late I heard one of Howards Hr was a real cheappie yesterday . Both teams around L10 games vs LHP. Boston pen has some issues but really theer core is fine and Phillys pen has been very reliable though I dont trust Flash Gordon in a tight spot much.

Moyer at Night now 5-1 2.98 ERA this year and coming off his best start . Lester has Knight behind the dish and he called his No-No. Think Knight leans to Unders from what I see. Moyer's track record is terrible vs Boston but he still managed some decent starts in that span. Three solid ones and one decent one in that 10 game span in Seattle but the real bad starts tend to be @ Safeco for him. Manny 10 career Hrs in 50 abs ....yikes....

Youk is out there Hottest bat last 7 days .

Look at Boston on this trip 1 vs harang , 4 on Sat till extras and half off the Cincy pen , they smokd Bailey who has not shown he is ML ready yet and 2 solo Hrs and not much else vs Hamels .....

All year away vs LHSP

5 , 5 , 0, 6 , 9 , 2 runs producing Und , Und , Und , Push , Over and yesterdays Over .....

the SP was Robertson 6.1 inn 10 4r , Perkins 6inn 9 h 3 r , Bedard 0 Runs , Olsen 5 inn 3h 2 r , Burress the guy they rocked in 4 inn 12 h 7 r and then Hamels yesterday 7 inn 5 h 2 r.....

So Moyer being in a groove of late makes me think he can continue to deliver a quality start here .....

Just leaning Under here 9.5 runs and Philly ....only think I will play the total if I feel the consensus is thinking this is an over matchup because on paper its not IMO....

Kool Sammy ...yep Yankee discipline very key and the NL West is sort of weak still. Any of those special two team parlays in mind ?? trying to put together NYY ML with something else might do Oak actually.....:cheers:BOL

think about the over with your parlay with NY, sn. Don't know if you saw shortline's thread, but reynolds is the ump... over/homer combo right there.

also, as a note, for the TB game, Kaz is off a very angering start as he was screwed out of a K by a ball that clearly scraped the corner of the plate. Angels then continued to score 3 runs to take the win..

No one on the cubs other then Reed Johnson (.250) have ever faced Kaz.. Dempster's only losses have came on the road. I obviously like TB in this spot..

Wolf for SD and we know SD struggles on offense so no suprise but in 7 road starts his lone win the scored 9 runs the rest he received 3 runs or less of support .

Pettitte keeping LHB to 181 BAA and well RHB above 340 !!!! Big thing that has killed especially at the stadium is timely Hrs to RHB when he tries to go inside and its flat over the plate . Think about ...

1st start at home vs TB think it was Gomes who hit the 3 run Hr in the 5th inning , the start at Cle when he tired in the 5th think it Gutirreuz and Peralta who did the damage , the game recently at the Stadium Guillen crushed him twice on pitches meant to be in that missed ...

If we look at his past 8 starts pretty good work and the KC line as awful as it looks you know if you watched it wasnt nearly that bad just every baserunner came in klumps and often all scored . Again his struggle is avoiding BIG innings as soon as a couple guys reach the wheels fall off . In April 5 Hrs in 6 starts and just 5 in 8 since with the recent one 's HR the two by Guillen and the one by Young in Minny to tie it but times I think they left Andy out there to long .

He had the so0so opener to start the year 2 unearned runs and a 3 run HR in the 5th , then 3 real solid starts (about 21 inn 4 runs) , then he had the b2b starts where he sort of fell apart in the 5th @ Cle and Det .

His real bad start was @ TB and dint help Yanks had Arod and Posada absent plus TB seeing him for the 3rd time in 5 weeks when he was still trying to find consistency .

So 4 of 5 in may he went at least and allowed 3 runs or less , now in June he seems to be tiring in the 7th showing his stamina seems to be increasing and we see some higher pitch counts of late .

He was not sharp vs @ Minny or vs KC but had he caught a break or two it could have turned out different in both maybe allow 1/2 the runs he did vs KC and maybe walked away with 6 inn 3 run outing @ Minny if not for the unearned run and Young Hr in the 7th....so he is improving ....IMO....

6 home starts he went solid ones in 3 of them and the 3 that appear bad were really bad innings ...1st start vs TB , game vs Cle and game vs KC. His road starts almost all weak teams vs LHSP Balt and TB twice , KC , Oak , Minny , Cle ...so probably helping his away splits....

Keep it in the park ANDY !

7 starts with No Hrs allowed only one bad one @ TB in May . Including that start those 7 starts he is

44.2 Inn 46 H 15 runs 10bb 38 (5-2)compared to
42.2 Inn 56 H 34r / 30er 10bb 23K(2-5)

Of interest to how sharp he is balls staying the yard ...

think about the over with your parlay with NY, sn. Don't know if you saw shortline's thread, but reynolds is the ump... over/homer combo right there.

Thanks TB . I actually didnt see that and was pretty set on the over already so I might just do that .....well instead of playing the over 9 seperately...

also, as a note, for the TB game, Kaz is off a very angering start as he was screwed out of a K by a ball that clearly scraped the corner of the plate. Angels then continued to score 3 runs to take the win..

No one on the cubs other then Reed Johnson (.250) have ever faced Kaz.. Dempster's only losses have came on the road. I obviously like TB in this spot..

True your still angry about that one I see. I think Kaz also ran out of gas though the pitch Itzuris hit for an 0-2 count was terrible . I am biased since I had Lackey that day so I will leave it at that ....I just think the teams Kaz has faced is sort of well tailored to him being successful . Texas for as good as they are drop off considerably vs LHP and there isnt much else I can recall he faced ...Cubs lineup just alot tougher despite never seeing Kaz . TB w/o Crawford and Pena switching to Aybar at 1st see a big dropoff in production...Willie only 6-40 and Dempster extremely tough on RHBs so I'll gable aging vets Like Hinske and Floyd have trouble as well .....Sticking to my theory with Pena out TB will fare better vs LHP.

wth, yankees line just came down to -179.. strange

I know . I actually fucked up missing the parlay and adding on because I saw the drop and was waiting to for my book to drop it off -200 and then pulled it OTB....I get fucked one way or the other it seems.....having a real book makes life SO much easier ......

Good Luck bro....

Have :
LAD ML & Over 8.5 (think it might be low scoring to start as in 1st 5 inn)
Houston ML( couldnt decide to play the over or pass so it went OTB)
NYY ML & and lesser play over 9
Cubs ML 2units and Over 7.5 small
Philly ML 1.25 units & Under 9.5 and 1st 5 inn

So far later -
Oak ML
Col ML

Deciding what else:cheers:

got yanks/unc ml parlay

chisox RL

LAA ML

and thats all. really gave oaktown and the under some serious thought too...

got some NBA action tonight and will be watching game 6 and praying the celts close it out so figured id tread lightly in bases....go celtssss

glad to see you on your yanks tonight too nut, gl tonight

in CWS land

decent wind blowing out

Ump is 16-8 to Over in his short career

Javier Vazquez is 5-0 to Over in home starts

And Pittsburgh is 24-7 to Over in road games

Snell 6-2 to Over away, and has a road ERA of 12.46 his last 3 roadies

lol

captain, it's raining homers in NY.

Not a good start for UNC though, although they just turned 2 off a K and pickoff at first which was sweet! And its early. Like you said the pen will be huge.

shoulda just played yanks RL...but I hate playing more then one of those damn things a day.
:shake:

you make some good points on the over BC... saw a couple on it and it was at -110 earlier.

now its pounded up to -125 and not worth it IMO... argh. hope you got it when it was cheaper.

with the way the sox are pounding RHP snelly might give up the total himself, lol.

Cap, I'm not willing to pay the price I get it at. Plus CWS return to offensive uselessness, after the brief outburst that followed Ozzie's outburst, is a concern. Still, no way I'd play under.

any play on the total in game 6 tonight?

im thinking about taking +4 & over? i like +4 better, because i could see no better way to end the nba season than to screw boston spread bettors and lake show ML bettors.

I have no idea, because I dont know what's coming from LA. I think it's all down to if Perkins plays, and how well he can play if he does. Postives to those 2 questions = Bos/Under.

:shake:

Perkins will definitely help the under.

Hes expected to play, we'll see how effective he is though. Hoping he brings his A game like he had the rest of the series. Him and powe need to be huge tonight

Really like LAA here ML even some RL +190

Just disbelief I am sure in NY lockerroom , pen still bad , Johan struggling last few road games , LAA record vs LHP , Lackey is just as good at home , and just think the flat spot is here for NYM after the travel.

played NYM ML yesterday so switching....to LAA ML today

It just continues to amaze me every good play I figure out somehow fucks me....book pulls SEA ML OTB at the exact second I hit submit.....so tired of this shit

White Sox Over hits in 3 innings.

Great.

I feel your pain bro. Had 1st 5 inn over 4.5 -120 and over 8.5 -125 keyed up ready to submit was rushing to get out the dorr to my basketball game and said dont force it and passed.....15-5 ...how they came up with 8.5 I'll never know which is why I contemplated it so long
