L21 seasons...

Its huge to be a 1st Tier team (Baltimore, Detroit, San Francisco, Seattle). 69% chance of participating in the Bowl and 76% chance of winning the Bowl.

2nd Tier teams, 21% chance of participating in the Bowl and 14% chance to win it. A 2nd Tier team hasn't beaten a 1st Tier team (0-3) when they've met in the Super Bowl. The 3 times a 2nd Tier has been crowned champion, they defeated a 2nd Tier team twice and a 3rd Tier team once. Also, history shows the 3, second Tier teams who have won the championship were either a conference #1 or #2 seed.

3rd Tier teams are all but out but have a sliver of hope. 10% chance of participating and/or winning the Championship.

There is one team I can think of that has to be on the officially eliminated group yet they are missing which I am sure is just an innocent oversight.

Teams not listed are in top 3 tiers but currently don't qualify for the playoffs and haven't been officially disqualified from playoffs based on record.

I don't mind sticking with Ravens over Lions but that pass protection is really deplorable

Every team has a massive flaw
True, it isn't that good. The Ravens i give an edge over any team to win the AFC simply just based on the past history of the tiers. The book agree as the Ravens and Chiefs are darn near co-favorites.

They can win but they are definitely flawed

I have a few Steelers futures as of this week. These may crumble if the Steelers don't keep their defensive per game scoring near the top of the league.

Lions def Steelers +14500
Steelers to win AFC North +430
Steelers to win AFC +1850

In order for the Steelers to win the Bowl their opponent can't be Detroit, SF or Seattle and the Steelers would need to be a top 4 conference seed.

Including the Rams as officially eliminated after week 8 when they have Stafford & McVay on a 2 game winning streak, with more healthy olinemen returning while Puka and Kupp have returned makes no sense. They don’t belong in that category.

They're locked into the 6th Tier and are officially eliminated from participating in the Super Bowl. 4th-7th Tiers are 0/42, 0% SB participant L21 years. If someone would like to bet them to win the NFC Conference be my guest but it's not a wise choice.

Teams not listed with each weekly update are not officially eliminated. They're in the top 3 Tiers, they just don't qualify for the playoffs (seed 1-7).

I get it now. It feels like the NFC is more wide open now than ever before with the team leading the way is Detroit. Campbell however does enough on game day to get in the way of winning. His decisions are mind boggling at times.
Don't forget about the 1st Tier Niners. They'll be in the mix but it does look like the Lions NFC to lose at this point.

Just as an example, here's the TIER info from the 2024 Playoffs. In the NFC all 7 teams were either a 1st Tier or 2nd Tier team. In the AFC there were 2, 3rd Tier teams and 1, 5th Tier team. All 3 lost in the WC Round. The 5th Tier Steelers would have been a great fade until they lost since that TIER has never participated in the SB L21 years.

The AFC playoff qualifiers through week 9 are all in the 1st Tier-3rd Tier.

The NFC playoff qualifiers through week 9 are all in the 1st Tier-3rd Tier with the exception 4th Tier teams Arizona & Atlanta.

3rd example from 2022 Playoffs. As you can see a 6th Tier Pittsburgh team made the playoffs and lost in WC Rd and 3, 4th Tier teams also lost in WC Rd.

I'm not sure what the game results will be today but I've given plenty of warnings regarding the Rams, Bears and Falcons as 4th-6th Tier teams, not being SB contenders.

I had my eye on Tampa Bay this week as a possible division winner (+800 to win division) before the start of games this week. They were down 2 games to Atlanta plus losing H2H tie breaker. No 4th-7th tier team that has made the playoffs L21 years has been higher than a 5th seed which means Tampa Bay should win their division. Time will tell. Regardless of the outcome with today's games I'd jump on that bet, Tampa Bay to win division.

Strong opinion - As of this week -

LAC win AFC along with SB matchup's LAC vs DET or PHI or GB or MIN. A favorable SB exacta would be DET def LAC. All those are worth a strong look.

The LAC need 2 more wins allowing less than 14 pts while also not losing a game allowing more than 30 points

OR

A win allowing less than 14 points and a win scoring and allowing more than 30 points while not losing a game allowing more than 30 points.

The above info from L21 seasons of results.

Division all tied up. ATL & TB 6-6

Steelers baby!! I actually think 5 teams have a legit shot to win. NFC easy, ithere no doubt Philly is playing lions in the nfc champ game. AFC I think it 3 teams who could win it. Kc, bills, or Steelers. Spare me the ravens talk, Kc and Steelers own the ravens and they just don’t have the playoff chops. I know I’m higher on Steelers than everyone but I’ll say this much, I bet given the choice Kc rather face ravens or bills!! I honestly don’t think there any chance the 1st team to 3peat gonna be this Kc squad but you can’t dismiss them.
