Houston -3.5 in what should be a great spot for anyone looking to take the Rockets as a short home favorite...


This is their first meeting against the Blazers since Lillard ended their season in a cold-hearted fashion with that 3 pointer that caught nothing but the bottom of the mesh. Blazers off that Triple OT game vs. Spurs and then win on the road next night against New Orleans....Obviously playing good basketball but fatigue might catch up with them here. Houston lost last 2 straight at home, this is last game of a 3 game homestand, they have had 2 days off before this game. Think this line will close Houston -4.5 or higher...
 
I agree with all the points mentioned above. I also will be on the Rockets one way or another.
One thing that I'm worried about is last year's meetings.
Out of the 10 games between the teams, 4 went to OT and one ended by one point win and 7 out of the 10 games, dog covered.
Houston can easily win by 1 - 3 points and lose the line, despite winning the game.
 
That's strange, normally I agree with both of you but I'm seeing this one differently. Portland is clearly a better team than HOU, have been playing lights out recently while Houston has been struggling. The situation obviously favors the rockets but your getting a chance to take a better team with the points, seems like POR or nothing to me.
 
That and the over are both worth looking at. Memphis did not strain at Cleveland. 2 players almost went 30 minutes. Utah obviously blew the game off at Charlotte. They shot 38.8%. Utah has 4 days off after this game. Memphis has 3. Refs are 5-1 over, 4-1 over and 6-4 over in this range. Utah is 5-2 over playing b-b and has lost 4 straight to Memphis. I think the over is safer but will also look at Utah but locking the over in now.
 
I like Over in Houston also.
No Lopez and Asik that pretty good on defense and last year, both teams couldn't find an answer to opposite big guys, even with them in the line ups.

As for Portland being the better team - without Lopez and maybe Batum? I can't agree.
 
Hawks coming off road wins at Cleveland and at Houston in what a lot of folks thought would be an 0-3 road trip
Hawks have the Clippers at home tomorrow

Played the over and Utah but more on the over. Re side--Memphis is playing 5 in 7 and Utah has major revenge and is clearly on an upswing with 5 covers last 7 and 2 wins away last 3. Also I am seeing Utah 27% to Memphis 73% and when possible like to fade the majority
 
At some Spurs will win and Clippers are losers...
Still... Clippers are a regular season team...
I like Under here...
 
Charlotte on a modest two game win streak and Nuggs playing 6 in 10 and traveling from west 3 zones after a 76 point poor effort...like charlotte here and maybe 1h while the nuggs shake off the travel
 
Pretty good site. Small lean to Toronto based on days rest. Toronto 4-1 ATS on no rest to Chicago 2-5 on 2 days. No bet yet
 
Locked Toronto plus 4.5. Logic is based on among other things the game where they covered vs Cleveland after losing at home vs them. Bottom line though is they are off an ATS loss and have not lost ATS 3 times in a row so if this loses fairly simple to get it back with a chase.

Lots of compelling matchups tonight. Good shit. I just wanted to say that it was no surprise to me the Blazers won the other night in New Orleans. The book was trying to bait bettors to bet the Pels with that jacked up line of -6. Also something I noticed in Rockets/Hawks the other night was that the Rockets came back from a shitload of points and should have won that game. And by should have won I mean that Brothers and his crew were calling everything to benefit the Hawks late in the 4Q. Seriously. Also wanted to mention that the Blazers are 4-2 SU and 5-1 ATS as the dog this season and they won those 4 games SU by 19,17,10,26. Cheers dudes.
 
Hawks as the dog are 9-1 to the over. I have a feeling that tonight is the night they don't win/cover as the dog though. They won their L4 as the dog SU and I just think this is the night the public "catches up" and realizes how good they are, but the books saw it coming and the favorite cashes. Not sure if the Hawks are a public dog or not.

I'm not betting anything and am just a dude watching football tonight. Just appreciate having somewhere to share my thoughts. Sincerely wishing everyone the BOL.
