Jags+6- They'll play with pride and the Colts shouldn't be favored by this much on the road.

Steelers-Of course I don't be against my teams, but this is my reccomendation. Steelers can fuck with the Titan running game and Collins hasn't been great lately. I think the books are screwed here as they simply can't make the Titans a four or five point dog.

Dolphins -4- Fins will run all over these guys.

I like Jacksonville...division matchup, I figure couple that with primetime and they might give a shit...Some interest

Initially liked Baltimore as it seems as though Dallas could struggle with the number of tough games lately, but then I thought about Flacco going against that new revived defense and it's Dallas' last game in their place....Pass

Just dont like the Jags offense . They beat GB barely because of GB didnt do . Remember that Indy has payback here and the weakness is the pass defense for Jax. Colts defense is okay and just think 17 pt effort isnt enough for a cover . Jax hung around and pulled it out but huge key was the fact GB settled for 2 FGs in goal to go situations ...so rather then 16-14 could have been 24-14 late ..the TD at the 2 morning warning was the 1st time in a month or 5 games they had broken 17 points ...
 
Also this is a HUGE game for Tenny . The have Pitt and the Colts left the Steelers are 11-3 and Colts 10-4 . So this is a MUST WIN game for Tenny or they could possible fall to a 4 seed though I dont know if it would happen because of the tiebreaker rules (not sure what they would be here) .

So while they are struggling I have to think they realize their season could be wasted if they fail to win here .

Pitt has EDGED 2 solid teams in the 4th quarter the past 2 weeks . Do those battles catch up to them here ?
 
Problem is, Tenny's now not healthy. Healthy, in this spot, I think they win this game. Now I'm not so sure.

That said, the Pittsburgh offense has looked pretty bad for two weeks now. They've come to life late, but they have been woeful until then. My guess is you get Tenny stepping up this week because they've lost their top guys, but then falling apart next week which won't hurt as bad because Indy never seems to be able to blow out Tenny no matter how they play.

As for the Jags, what offense do they have left? For that matter, how in the hell did they score 20 points last week?

Right now, I only have two words for this weekend. Seattle moneyline.

Holmgren's last game in Seattle. The Jets really shouldn't be laying five to much of anyone, least of all to a team they have to fly all the way across the country to play.
 
Hard to disagree on Seattle as Wallace has improved alot past few outings . Jets got the gift win thanks to more stupid head coaching .

As for Tenny while they are not healthy KVB has been absent at various times and its Haynesworth which scares me being out . However you get the line adjustment to reflect the injuries as well .

For Pitt it has been more then just 2 games it everys game ..

The numbers are weak vs above avg defenses and better . Th eonly good passer ratings he had were vs SD and @ CLE but still managed just 21 pts in 2 games combined .....

13 @ Balt , 20 vs Dallas but 13 on offense , @ NE 33 but just about all the 2nd H points about 20-23 were off short fields and turnovers , SD 11 , Indy 20 , @ Wash 3 , NYG 14 , and so on.......

7TDs and 10 Ints if we dismiss the Bengals twice , Jax whose pass defense was terrible when they met and Houston...its 8TDs and 1 INT in the other games ..

The OL is a constant issue the running game has been medicore at best since Fast Willie first got hurt ...

If Haynesworth was in clearly I would be pounding Tenny at less then a FG but since he is its a tough decision IMO...:cheers:


 
If you like Minnesota probably best to play sooner rather then later IMHO.

Dallas -4.5 leaning this because Balt offense is also struggling especially vs the pass and we can see how they stop the run. Plus how do they bounce back after a brutal loss? Not as bad as the Tenny loss earlier but remember they went to Indy and got shelled as 4 pt dogs 31-3......
Lions +7 -120 and ML: Rumblings about Bush and he isnt right still with their playoff hopes squashed @ Chi . Det continues to fight but losing Swight Smith again could be scary and a SLUGFEST...
SD +3 : On the fence but thinking TB DL might just be worn out they hung real tough @ ATL but the offense has to do something ...SD who knows what to expect but you have to be able throw the ball to beat TB @ Raymond James and Rivers most days can...
Titans ML : Just a must win even shorthanded this is now @ NE , vs Dallas @ Balt now @ Tenny ...rough , rough stretch

Cheifs +4: What would keep me off this is the stunning LOSS KC suffered but the Cheifs had a few of thse already and always showed up the next week. What has Miami down as favorite ? I think I'm going to be on a lot of dogs this weekend.

I want to bet Baltimore, badly, but I don't know if the stars align for them.

But I'll be there with you on Detroit, this is their shot. I'll be on Seattle, I might be there with you on KC.

Speaking of which big note: KC has a huge, huge, HUGE advantage historically at home in the month of December. This, combined with Chad Pennington's hate of cold weather could produce a really good opportunity this weekend. Check the weather, hope for real cold, then bet against the Fish.

Of course, if it's an unseasonable 55 degrees or so, Miami could run all over that horrible team.
 
I wanted to ride Balt but Dallas has been very good to me most of the year . Having a hard time getting past the fact Balt's not running the ball that well and not that healthy at the position , that Mason will playing has to be restricted in some manner playing with a dislocated shoulder and Flacco has been below avg vs solid defenses ..So with Balt defense playing well lately can they bounce back on a short week and do it again ? Now Romo was also banged up vs Dallas but could barber be healthier . I think he just gutted it out vs NY and wasnt ready ...Hard to imagine DAL at less then 20 at home and real tough seeing Balt get 14 w/o help which is possible...but just a shade above the NYG line ??

Jacksonville got extremely likey like SN said, GB had two oppurtunities inside the 5 to go up by 10 pts and failed. Indy coasted through the win against Detroit, I think we see a full game out of Indy, If they can stop the run this should be a 10 pt win. Whats Bob Sanders status is he in or out?

Hard not to like Dallas, Baltimore off a emotional loss, and Dallas still fighting for there playoff lives. This defense has come alive. They have given up 6pts, 10pts, and 13pts, and 9 pts...1 opposing offensive touchdown in 3 weeks.

No opinion on SD, as I think there just lost.

Titans catch the STeelers in a tough spot. Alot of people will jump on the Steelers bandwagon, and I think it might be a week to late. If there was a game the Steelers would drop it will be this one. To many 4th quarter wins, and like SN pointed out the offensive efficiency has been shit for weeks. Tough one to call, because of the injuries for the titans, and the way Collins has been playing.

Vikes rolling now, won 9/12 and 4 in a row. Vikings can secure the division, and inch closer to a first round bye with a win here. Not having Big Pat Williams hurts especially against the Falcons and Turner. But this team is playing with confidence, expect Tavaris to start....Dome should be the loudest it has been all year. I dont think Matt Ryan will fair well against the Vikings pass rush. This is a team that no one is talking about, but if we win here, we could become extremely dangerous in the playoffs. Are rushing attack is at its best, the passing game is getting it done...and the defensee is playing out of there mind. Look at the Vikings defense at home this year, they excel at home, especially early.

Arizona/NE intrigues me, seeing 9, thats a funny number...both teams coming of completely different performances. Is Arizona really a fraud? Should this beat up defense really be laying 9 to an explosive offense?

GB only chance at respectability is to beat Chicago. GB defense is just attrocious. But I think 4 is the key number here. Total has dropped like crazy, saw it open at 45 and down to 41.5 at most spots...it is really cold up here -10- 20 degrees. Who knows though for next Monday.

Carolina/NYG Giants haven't been able to get there offense going in the last 2 weeks, but both teams they have played have been win or were done mentalities....huge game with huge playoff implications. Like many have said Panthers D not as good as many think. Tough one, but usually grab the points here....whats Jacobs status?

Titans have wrapped up the division through the tiebreakers and will host at least one playoff game.

I guess I don't understand playing the Chiefs unless you catch 6 here. I get why it might be close but Miami can really run the football and the Chiefs can't stop it. Miami knows how to win games, the Chiefs know how to lose them. KC has been competitive in some games but nearly all of them have been divisional opponents.Miami is playing for the postseason so they aren't going to be flat here. I realize we're betting spreads but I do think that's important.

I was talking about overall AFC seeding with Indy and Pitt within 2 games of Tenny isnt it possible those teams jump ahead of them?I think I said it wrong last nite. What I meant is Tenny after this amazing run is not even locked in as the #1 seed and could wind up being the #3 seed in the AFC. If they win here and get 13 wins they would lock up that #1 seed . Pitt would be stuck on 1 wins and if Indy wins they would have 11 .

If Tenny loses they have 12 wins , Pitt has 12 wins and 11 for indy with Indy playing Tenny in the last week and Pitt hosting CLE...

Miami has really not run the ball well(Brown and williams avg 100yds rushing per game combined) and while I agree with KC's run defense they just held LT and Co in check...How KC shows here I have no idea to be honest after that choke.

Miami is quite possibly the worst favorite of the decade . This year again only 1-5 ATS laying points and that win was laying -1 at home to Buffalo which I think they opened as dog if I am not mistaken.

Tough schedule to end it for Miami playing 4 of 5 away to finish. Winners of 5 of 6 look at who they beat SF , Oak , Sea , STL and Buffalo whats the record of these 5 teams say the past 8 games maybe 5-35 combined ??

Just think there is no difference bewteen these two teams past 7 weeks or so with the glaring difference one wins close games and the other losses them but KC was losing to much better teams then Miami was beating ...KC lost to TB , SD twice , the Jets ..

I dont see Miami being a TD better then KC on a neutral field ..:shake:COLD weather would be a plus as JPub mentioned
 
Miami Last 5 wins included 3 west coast teams at Home in the 1 PM time slot which is something like 1-17 SU now , @ STL who is 0-8 L8 games and @ Canada facing Buffalo with Edwards out in a fake Bills home game ..

OAK 1-7
Seattle 2-6
STL 0-8
Bills 1-7
SF 3-5

So 7-33 and 2 wins are vs STL in that 7 wins.....all Miami is doing is hanging on in these games ..

first glance...have an interest in cinci, az, atl, phi, kc, sea and houston. just leans for now though. cinci, kc, phi, houston are pretty big leans...
and indi as i mentioned. kind of warm on the gmen too. think they are about to get their desire back...wonder if jacobs is playing...

Right my strongest leans are to Zona....feel like im missing something here with the line the way it is...simialr to Den/Car last week...and GB as well....always play the Bears tough...and lost twice to them last year...but beat them already at Lambeau this year....I love Minnesota, but dont want say its my favorite because thats me being a homer.

Indianapolis can't pass the Titans even if the Colts win out and the Titans lose out. The Steelers can of course but Indy can't. Titans will do no worse than #2 overall in the AFC regardless of what happens the rest of the year. Colts will be the Wild Card.

Thanks I wasnt sure if they both had 12 wins and split the 2 meetings ...very helpful to know. Remembering the NFL tiebreakers is rough . Was reading somewhere that ATL could win out and not get in because they would lose like the 6th tie breaker ...

Marlo - Not yet . Like to see the injury reports after Wed practices and read some of what the coaches are saying and thinking . Probably on Thursday have a much clearer picture but onboard with your thoughts ..

really hard to for me not to max out Minnesota here . ATL barely hung on to win and thats usually a bad omen for how they play next game . Minnesota just solid all around and want to read up on Harry Douglas. One flaw is Minny special teams think GB and NO games where they allowed a few TDS . Douglas has been solid but banged up a bit so the less helthier clearly the better ..

Just Tavaris Jackson is always such a question mark. Good play so far but always those back of the mind thoughts ....

Hard to believe DET isnt one and even that OVER looks so enticing being indoors if Det can get 24 then even a FG win by DET gets me the over . Maybe DET TT best route ?

The Arizona game BIG ISSUE for me will be weather . If Unfavorable pass conditions present themselves then how does ZONA move the ball ?????Based on the spread though not such much like the other situations IMO cause DEN was off a couple of wins and ZONA was blownout at home somewhat unexpectedly in the eyes oft the betting world....

KC has my interest but you hate to back them and they come out flat after the choke but they bounced back after the other tough losses like TB ..

Just not enough known variables for me to decide or games sitting at or above key numbers to jump early...already played some Vikes and probably keep doing so today and tmrw..:cheers:

 
Before you lay the corn down on Zona, you better find out how Zona is going to play this game. They may rest players after a half. Their positioning in the playoffs are locked in as 4th place seeding.

In my experience, Tenny has stunk without Haynesworth in the lineup. I lean pitt
 
Not sure how you guys are feeling GB on MNF. What is the motivation? Bears need the game for their playoff lives. They have big time revenge from the pummeling GB gave them earlier. I downplay the revenge angle, except within the division......then it is crucial.

GB last 4 games have been pathetic. 0-4 SU/ATS. 2-5 on the road this year, Bears 5-2 at Soldier. Pack gives up 28 a game on the road. Bears D hasn't been the same, but if they can "contain" the Saints high powered attack surely they can do the same to GB.

Zona looks attractive but as I said not jumping the gun on anything (except playing Minny already) until motivation is clear , coaches open their mouths a bit and we see the weather for Sunday in NE. Surely dont expect Zona to tough out up in cold ass NE ...so your right cautious is best. I would just hate to think Zona is resting players after getting their ass handed to them . Does that mean they dont mind going into the playoffs losing 3 straight and 4 of 5 ?? havent checked so I assume they cant improve their seeding ? Good stuff to keep in mind and out in the open...

Agree that Tenny w/o Haynesworth has not shown well . Would assume he last prolonged absence was after the HEAD STOMP but not certain w/o checking . I just think the difference is now he is a name player and everyone kind of is aware of this . So its gets priced into the line probably at double the rate it should be . Pitt has barely scored vs teams with decent defenses think @ Wash and @ Cle so does his absence take them from top3 in the NFL to not even slightily above avg ? Which they catch a break because of the 2 injuries but it might just what they needed to look attractive to us bettors..I dont knwo can they keep catching breaks ?? Motivation for Chicago is would say they HATE eachother . Lovie's goal was always beat GB and they did well the first bunch of meetings until finally GB beat them this year. I think the one thing to remember is GB lost a bunch of close games but had to win all of them to cover . Technically they dont here . Not tthat I would bet GB +4 thinking the best they do is lose by 3 especially on MNF with the SU winner angles...It's just hard for me to say NO is better then GB...think they are about the same and NO should have bet the Bears they just amde some timely plays ...

So for me interest is there because I see GB as equal to NO for the most part and now that they pressure of winning to get to the playoffs is gone they can just play with nothing to lose and ruin the Bears chances IMO a hated rival...:shake:

Think we have to look to the Minny game as well. This slipped my mind but Minny wins it has 10 wins and with Chi at 8 think Vikes have the division on a tiebreaker so the game could be very meaningless for CHI as well if Minny wins. Dont see how 9 wins would get Chi in the playoffs or even 10 without winning the division..

Basically think Bears are 5th in the race for 2 wildcard spots and 3 of the teams already have 9 wins..:shake:

As much as I hate the packers, they never quit. Even if there out of the playoff race, they wont. Packers can play spoiler if, the Vikes Lose....Not alot of love football wise between Minny-GB-Chi.
 
I wold be surprised to see Az not come out with some effort, after coming out w/ none last week. I can't imagine that they wouldn't want to turn it around. As nut said, weather is huge here, if decent, I love the Over and the points - NE D is fucked...random and possibly a meaningless angle is Warner is not happy about and wants the Pats investigated for their alleged taping of Super Bowl practices w/ the Rams. I read that somewhere, could be some motivation. AZ travelling West to East, is not good tho

I could see the Saints coming out flat, and the Lions with some effort to not be that team, I might play the Lions ML/pts 1H.

Jets Over looks good to me too, that was my only win last week and I see it again. Their D is not right, I think both teams are in the 20's.

Vikes look good too, Falcons looked sloppy and now on the road.

True . Also the chance its very important if SD wins as a LOSS means they play for the division title next week..imagine that looking at SD season....

They are looking to start Hamdan possibly as well...

I think its worse when everyone is on side and the line moves up just a 1 pt . The drop looks odd but OAK was 7 and closed at 6.5 last week with everyone seemingly on NE.....the road chalk fav dropping by a 1/2 usually doesnt mean much ..can name a few that I have seen and the fav still covers ...:shake:
 
Also Indy is now favored by more away then it was at home when it lost ...

I think the drop was due to the Polian comments about Addai and Sanders . Dungy started off saying he expected them to play then yesterday Polian said something different like they might be 51/49 to play...which is when the 1/2 pt drop occurred..

Could probably look at the books and see at what time they adjusted it and if it was around Polian's comments...

Colts uncertain whether Addai, Sanders will play

I dont know what time zones the books times are . Assuming EST because thats where I am but can confirm ...

5 Dimes moved it at 5:58 from 6.5 to -6 in one move basically .....

So it could be the Polian comments which moved it but I cant say for certain...not sure if his comments were out earlier then the article I saw...
 
addai practiced fully yesterday but i assume they didn't do much more than a walkthrough with such a short week. i don't think it matters whether or not he's in. sanders obviously is huge and probably worth a point or 2

combined with jamal lewis, that has to be the worst backfield to ever start an NFL game.
 
I haven't lost an all AFC South matchup this season and I think the Jags are going to give the Colts a tight game. I'd be very leery of laying 6 or 7 here with Indy.
 
Liking the over for CHI, the numbers on over at chi and for GB on road are sick, and the line is dropping.
