Discuss, what you like, who you dont like, interesting trends, maybe even some stuff that isnt very interesting, lets just pound out a solid MFin discussion to beat the damb bookies

Rockets and Pistons look good -- maybe the Magic, but the Grizz are hard to get a pulse on, they can blowup the scoreboard at any time.

Detroit looks good, but dont think I can back them till they win, and cover

Cleveland looks nice, but Washington is 20-10 ats this year

Boston has covered +1.5, -12, -2.5, against Toronto this year, this will be there 4th meeting. Something reminds of a game last night very similar to this.

Orlando -3, def a game to look into..if your not comfortable laying -3, then I would take Memphis ML..Memphis covered the last game between the two, barely losing 122-119....will def be on the over in this game @ 212

Just some initial thoughts

Rockets on a home n home with Seattle...they couldnt cover the DD spead ( I think it was 12) but I can see them covering the 6.

I may sound like a homer... but the Hornets? They've been pounding teams, especially in the 2H and the Trailblazers aren't anything special on the road. Ely and Bowen really improve our bench, not saying they are good, but it's better than Armstrong, Butler, Julian getting lots of PT.

Agree with the Hornets pick. This is 7 in 11 against a quality opponent that they beat by 12 at home. In their 3 road losses in this trip did they lose by less than 7? No. This year on the road when they have lost only vs the 66ers did they lose by a number that would cover this. NO is probably a little better right now and much better rested. Looks like an easy play with a Blazer lookahead to Houston at home.

detroit looks good, like cleveland also w/ the short line as the cavs have been doing great lately

leaning magic but not sure laying points on the road w/ them though pau may be out

how about the bulls and that short line? one jump shooting team vs another

the kings shouldn't be dogs against the clips even if the game is @ staples

also can't believe that spurs-lakers total is 198. will look more into it but certainly looks high to me

Chicago and Indy in there last 10 meetings have only exceeded the total once in Chicago.

Sacramento on B2B this year are 5-3 ats, there only losses @ Phoenix, Dallas, Washington. All in the top 20 of NBA teams this year. They covered against Minny, Denver, Chicago, Indiana, and Milwaukee. (only team worse than the Clippers is Minny, and maybe Mil.)

Sac-town setting up to be a play 2morrow

I've been a vocal bandwagoneer for the Trailblazers recently, but this one I just don't think I can back them on. It's the last game before going home from a 7 game road trip.....and they looked a bit tired at Atlanta.

also, they beat the Hornets in Portland on Dec 17.

If there's any motivation, it'll be all with the Hornets.

I still think Portland is developing into a pretty damned good team, but this is the sort of spot their youth ought to show through. We'll see, but it won't be a side I play.

Kings are 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Los Angeles.

Kings are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog.
Kings are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games.
Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest.
Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5.
Kings are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games as an underdog.

Clippers are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games playing on 1 days rest.

and it's essentially a pk'm?

I don't get it.

the books havent caught up to sacramento yet, they are going to go on a nice run before the all-star break

Im assuming they are factoring a Sac B2B. No real travel issues. I hit Sac ML (local) and +1 about an hour ago....

They have controlled this game they are playing right now the whole way, obviously with Bibby, Artest and Martin all healthy they are clicking

They look good, but I have lost twice betting against Port, but if any spot like red has already said that Port off last game of roadie b4 heading home....is a nice sit. spot for NH

Why the Hell is Sacramento a dog at the Clippers?

Its actually funny you mention this. If you go back and look at both teams recent games you will notice when they played common opponents recently the Clippers had the stronger line. So I have quietly been saying to myself for awhile How the FUCK are the Clippers stronger then Sac??

Just look at there last 10-20 games and look at common games ( same opponent and venue) ....

Not sure what to make of it either but its actually been going on for awhile now.....

det/phi : detroit has won 5 str8 meetings in philly. philly crushes detroit on the boards tho. philly on a nice lil over streak right now becuz they have been giving up so many points. i don't think it will be that high scoring so 6.5 is a lot to cover and add that to the fact that public is slamming i cannot bet detroit. i certainly can't bet philly becuz i fully expect detroit to win here.

was/cle : wash is 5-1 ATS this year as 3.5 to 6 pt road underdog & 12-5 ATS overall on the road. cleveland is 1-4 ATS this year as a 3.5 to 6 pt home favorite and 6-12 ATS overall at home. cle is a brutal 8-13 as a favorite this year. you can bet cleveland will be a public play tomorrow and the line went from 5 to 4. hmmmm. i might just watch this one but i have a lean to the wiz kids.

bos/tor : the raps have been playing good ball with the exception of that philly game. however, boston appears to be in top form all of a sudden, and i think they might start another monster ATS streak. they shot 59% & 55% from the field the last two games. i don't bet boston very often becuz of the ridiculous lines but i might take em here. i think toronto will have a tough time scoring and ray allen hopefully loads up those triples.

orl/mem : i'm with marlo here, i love the over. i think ill pass on the side here.

por/NO : its been a long trip for portland, btw i love em and have made a bunch of cash on em. they are 3-3 on the trip and it is nice that they won in atlanta, which sets up a nice situation for NO. NO is prolly my favorite team in the league since the bulls blew it. i bet on new orleans every chance i get. home team is 9-1 SU last 10 meetings and NO is really one of the roughest places to play. even if it is somewhat close NO will make their free throws for the cover.

pho/min : no real interest here, slight lean to minny but they could be a huge letdown. public is slamming the monster road favorite on a b2b in which they had to rally in the 4th quarter. minny beat phoenix already this year and phoenix just recently got their revenge so it is even, right?

indy/chi : im from chicago and know everything about them. they were absolutely pathetic against memphis. they really look like the worst team in the league. interesting stat is that chicago is 3-12 ATS when trying to revenge a loss this year. all i know is that indy is prolly a lil better than chicago but no bet for me here.

lal/sas : i bet on denver in the last game against the lakeshow and they fucked me. i caught on to portland being good for real this year, but i keep thinking w/o bynum lakers r gonna blow and they proved me wrong. spurs havent been doing shit but i will not bet against the spurs at home.

hou/sea : home & home here and hou lost ATS in the first game. houston is way better than seattle but i hate laying points on the road so no play.

sac/lac : clips are 14-5 ATS & SU last 3 years as a home favorite of 3 or less. sactown is 0-5 SU in division games this year. good find there sportsnut on that sactown/clips lines. maybe we got som nice value on this line becuz sac is on b2b. i don't think that matters here becuz the game wasn't close and sactown is all guys who are just getting back from injury so they r fresh as hell. sactown will be revenging a home loss here and i think sactown is fuckin WAAYYY better than the clips so im gonna be on sactown for sure.

GL all.

got to be some ml dogs in this one. looking hard at lak, char, ind, tor, wash, atl, and mem. enough has been said about the kings and tor+...on them. working on narrowing that list down...
marlo...omar will be on you...
new around here. been lurking and appreciate all the efforts.
now make that money.
