UFC 94: St. Pierre vs. Penn II - Saturday, January 31st

DONG-HYUN KIM lines has dropped significantly in the past couple days... local is down to +210, sportsbook is even lower at +180...

i'm glad i grabbed a lil +250 the other day...

here are my wagers for the card today....

BJ PENN +155
($115/179)
MACHIDA -250
($175/70)
DIAZ -125
($175/120)
DONG-HYUN KIM +250 ($20/50)

:box:

looks good Mogo...I'm on the same (Minus Penn - sitting that one out) I also have a parlay with Fitch/O Brien/Wilson...

GL

anyone hear that GSP cut too much weight???

He looked thin, and BJ was telling him at the weigh ins--

George you cut too much weight, georges you cut too much, george your gonna be weak--

Penn is hilarious with his talk--

is this true did GSP cut too much weight.

machida by decision at +130 i think is a pretty soilid play.

went with that, machida/bonnar ML parlay, and was inititally looking to get some penn. now having second thoughts

also thinking about taking gamburyan and guida at + money for a unit apiece as well. anyone got strong thoughts about either of these 2 fights? both look like veyr live dogs

Gamburyan and Guida are tough fihgts they both cuold lose their fights-- they are toss ups---

Take Penn he is winning this fight or I shoudl say WAR tonight--

i think he wins by a submission in 2nd or 3rd round---

MMAjunkie.com photo gallery: UFC 94 weigh-ins

LAS VEGAS - Welcome to MMAjunkie.com's photo gallery from today's "UFC 94: St. Pierre vs. Penn II" weigh-ins.

On Friday all 20 competitors made weight for the event, which features a UFC welterweight title fight between 170-pound champ and lightweight title-holder B.J. Penn.

The weigh-ins took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the same venue that hosts Saturday's pay-per-view event.

Both headliners made weight for the event. St. Pierre weighed exactly 170 pounds; Penn came in at 168 pounds. Check out our UFC 94 weigh-ins coverage for the official results.

Today's weigh-ins event went off without a hitch. A gigantic afro wig worn by Akihiro Gono provided the most humorous moment. (The laughs continued when opponent Jon Fitch borrowed the afro for their staredown). The most dramatic moment came during an intense staredown between Clay Guida and Nate Diaz. However, the photo opportunity ended without controversy, and both fighters immediately retreated when told it was time to exit the stage.

MMAjunkie.com will have complete on-site coverage of UFC 94, including full round-by-round updates and official results from the preliminary and main cards, beginning at approximately 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST) on Saturday.

OMFG LOOK AT GONO"S AFRO!!!!

akihiro-gono.jpg

Bonnar is gonna get smoked tonight, he is a joke, hasnt fuoght in a year--

he will go down, he fought forrest whoopie shit and he has no muscles also--

Also whats up with ROGAN staring at GSP's cock in the weigh in's, did you see that pervert staring at GSP cock?

He is one fucked up dude ROGAN, always judging and sizing other peoples junk up. I am sure he would have some kind of comment about that.

Rogan is a straight clown.

And GSP is a piece of shit french-canadian homo.

There is pictures I will try and post it in here--- ROGAN is staring right at his cock--

I know ROGAN is not Yag, but he is one of those guys who judges other men and stares at their cocks--

ROGAN is built like a truck, he has Dwight howard shoulders himself.

if you want to be a cheapskate, i'm sure we'll be able to find an online link somewhere when it starts.....

So, the more I read the more confident I am when saying Thiago Silva will be 13-1 after tonight. Machida does not get hit (40x in 13 fights). I wouldn't even consider Silva a value bet.

im on silva even though i hate the guy and think he is one of the biggest tools in the sport and also think he is highly overrated... but he is a fighter who will push the pace something machida really hasnt face yet. If machida wasnt able to finish guys like hogar something is off. Machida is a highly skilled technical fighter but really doesnt have that ko power so yes i expect silva to get hit but he will get to machida because of his aggressiveness. Silva has shown the ability to recover really well after watching him eat that head kick by mendes. I think for the first time MAchida will actually get hit and im very interested to see how he handles it. gl

they usually throw on most of the undercard fights during the event. There will be plenty of time after the main event after BJ knocks his bitch ass out

staying away from Bonnor/Jones b/c no idea how Bonnor will be after not surgery... plus i know NOTHING about Jones...

Guys who havent fought in over a year usually lose, Bonnar fits that category--

I have a sneaky feeling that a GSP takedown is going to end the match as he is going to get a PENN knee if the face and he will be knocked out unconscious--

GSP lunges and does lots of takedowns, I think that is where PENN will hurt GSP and knock him out with a knee or kick as GSP has his head down lunging in.

i would guess about 49.95

but i havent checked yet. gonna just get a bunch of people to throw in 5 bucks and order it no problem

$50 is nothing, peanuts, I cannot risk the computer link for this match, no way it may go down, I need it in HD on my 120 inch screen.

Plus I asked about 4 guys to watch it, I would never charge anyone a penny, but they said they have no interest at all in UFC. I dont know maybe its a west coast faggotry thing or something, i cant believe everybody I ask has no interest in this fight-

This has happened so many times. Cant wait to get back to the EAST COAST--:smiley_acbe:

Lets cash this one guys, usually in life a Hawaain will kick the shit out a Frenchman with HEART alone.

That is what PENN is saying, and there is no one who wants to win more than him.
Knowing a lot about the FRENCH personally I have seen them fold in ---

-CFL games the montreal team has lost like 6 of 7 Grey Cup appearances-
-Touch football finals, the Montreal team always choked in finals
-Gasquet in Tennis, australian open this year choked away a 2-0 sets lead
-Gsp already quit 3 times, 1 to huges, 1 to serra and 1 to leanardo santos-

-Hawaiians are warriors where Frenchman are athletically gifted and very fast people. However they are chokers, as mentally they are cupcakes-

-EVen the France soccer team won, but they were all Africans and Zidane their best player was ALgerian, they were all born in France but few on teh team were french by nationality.

Take it for what its worth, the HAwaiian pride will take out the frenchman-

Asian hookers all love MMA.. Go that route next time:smiley_acbe:

I know TEE but I will have to hit lots of winners then LOL--

I figure I can get a RECESSION deal, but being Sat night they may charge a ridiculous rate like $400 or so for the event-

This way I really need to nail some winners. Usually the Asians dont do outcalls bro, the TRIADS dont let them leave their locations:smiley_acbe:

Tee you gonna grab some PENN--

Tee you betting vs Parisian? Not a bad bet, Parisian is beatable and comes in bad shape sometimes. These asians are unknown and can surprise . parisian is beatable for sure-

I think machida wins, this guy trains with SILVA, and that camp is technically sound and does not lose, they outsmart and just win.
Machida is the most intellgent fighter in theUFC-

his style is KARATE- but Karate mixed with Jui Jitsu, strikes and wrestling, very hard guy to fight, thats why he never gets hit, its the Karate with the other disciplines that he wins.

jesus.... 120 inch TV sammy???

Its a High definition Projection system I bought, to go along with my 72 inch regular TV-- The screen can go as big as 120 inches wide.

its all part of my capping headquarters which is almost finished---

Never heard of DONG----

But i can tell you there is no way guys like Parisian and BONNAR can lay big juice, they are not even good fighters at all--

the Unknown guys bro are good odds casue no one knows who they are--

Anderson Silva was a +200 dog vs Rich Franklin because no one knew who he was-

BJ penn is not gambling IMO, I feel from everything I know he is the DOG first of all-

2nd of all, he is more intense and has more heart-

there is great odds 10 to 1 odds penn wins in round 1 , 2, 3, ---

Someone has to win and PENN does not get knocked out, GSP can win a decision but I doubt it goes 5 full rounds--

THere is no one more talented than BJ PENN, he looks like a little pillsbury fat boy with no muscles, however he can sit on the ground and touch his ear with his foot-
he is that talented, quickest man in america to get his black belt in Jui jitsu--

The man trained for 30 minutes for fights and dominated Stpierre and Hughes before tiring because of no conditioning at all.
30 minutes and he can dominate these guys--

FYI- BRO as crazy as you may not believe how GOOD PENN IS?

Try this one for size? BJ PENN fought Lyota MACHIDA to a 3 round decision loss. PENN was giving up huge size and was on top of MACHIDA--

This man can beat guys 40 pounds bigger than him like nothing--

MACHIDA can you believe this?

Tee check it out on YOUTUBE--

Penn vs Machida-- Penn is exhausted after the match, but fought Machida no problems at all, he must have been at least 35 pounds heavier than him--

This man fears no one and GSP is in for a warrior today

Tonight you are going to see a man PENN possibly the most balanced man in the world-

GSP will try to take him down and you will see some of the best balance in the world, PEN will stand on one foot and not be taken down.

I am pumped up for this fight, have to go vs the Canadian as I dont think he can match the Hawaian here-

PENN fought MAchida and in those days he was out of shape also, this is a man that when in shape will finish guys-- its that simple he is a finisher--

I am pretty sure GSP will be put to sleep tonight or tap out by PENN.

Penn is the guy that most people would walk away from, he fights guys way bigger, GSP has never and never will fight anyone bigger than him, he is a bloody middleweight fighting at welterweight anyway, he is 187 pounds--

He will find out tonight that training and cardio will not beat the hawaiian warrior.

Should be some good fights tonight guys. I'm on Penn, with him @ + money there is good value. This will be the only time he'll be the underdog. This fight could go either way....it's whoever is hungrier and smarter. GSP is very athletic and has the strength and cardio to keep up with Penn. His takedown defense is excellent, but also poses that lay-n-pray, gnp game. I think the advantage is the striking goes to Penn...no doubt. In their first fight, if you asked someone who they think won just by looking at GSP or Penn....chances are they would say Penn, as GSP face got fucked up. Penn is an excellent striker, but the also is very dam good on the ground. With his mobitlity and flexibility, he is like no other...the guy can work is from the most complicated angles (ala, Matt Hughes). If GSP takes him down and control BJ, he will win the fight. If Penn uses his striking and CAN control GSP from the guard position, odds are in his favor. The ultimate test for Penn to win is if his conditioning and cardio is on par. GSP is like a "machine" and will keep pushing the pace. This will be a huge test for BJ in the later rounds.

I like Dong Hyun Kim at those odds. No ways "The Heat" should be laying this kind of chalk. The guy is good, but also a fucking jerk...."Dont they know who I am?". I hope he gets KTFO and outclassed in the Judo departement. I also like Guida as he too is a machine. He can look sloppy at times, but he's fight against Tyson Griffin proved he can go the distance; I was surprised he lost that fight. Nate Diaz is very dangerous on the ground, but I'm not impressed with his striking. I think Guida should impose his will on Nate, but also be careful of getting submitted. Diaz is very, very excellent on the ground and can easily put a submission on given a slight mistake by his opponent.

GL guys...biggest fight of the year!! And I routing for the biggest upset tomorrow....kind of like the Jets vs. Colts back in the 60's!

Expecting a BJ penn in round 2 or round 3----

Go PRODIGY, not playing anyting else as I dont know all the fighters and many matches are close--

Machida looks prettygood though but i dont touch juice like that

BJ Penn +150 - 2 units - Well, this is it. The guy who I think is the best mixed martial artist we have ever seen is going up a weight class to fight a guy who he already lost to (although him and I don't feel that way). He has a relatively paltry 13-4-1 record, which I think some people look at and think that he hasn't had the great career he has had. The fact is that he is one of the best BJJ fighters ever, and each of his losses has been either controversial or a result of BJ not taking training seriously, something he has struggled with his whole career. His talent for the sport is unparalleled, showing up and winning for the majority of his fighters against the bigger Matt Hughers and GSP, gassing in the 3rd round each time and losing the fight. I think something switched on for BJ after the Ultimate Fighter show, as he realized that his legacy was going to be that of a good fighter who didn't prepare well enough for fights as opposed to that of one of the all-time greats in MMA history. His last 3 fights have shown that, dominating 3 lesser opponents to the point where it looked like Pulver, Stevenson, and Sherk didn't belong in the same cage as him. I think we see the most inspired we've ever seen BJ Penn tonight, and I look for him to really get after Georges and push him to points he hasn't been pushed to before.

Good luck guys, I have leans to Machida and Guida, but won't make those plays as I don't feel nearly as good about them as this one.

how bout for the main event?

Dong 3 units
Machida 4 units
Diaz 2 units

Main event , I lean Penn but only because of the plus money.. Think it is a toss up to be honest..

Best play is Dong IMO .. Some thoughts over in my CBB thread..:shake:

Need NW with SU win in CBB 'an_horse'
