what book do you use to get those props? I'm wondering can you bet on Penn for a 1-2 rd win and bet on GSP to decision at -170 and still make $ no matter what?

i really cant even remember how well Karo fought last and agree he might be being given a little too much of credit... that one is just for fun...

the rest of the plays i feel pretty strongly about but dont want to get too crazy ... :shake:
 
what about machida by decision to lower the juice?

doesnt it seem like that fight will go the distance?
 
shifter, Sammy uses 5 dimes for that stuff. Great sire for all MMA betting, he turned me on to it a couple weeks ago. Check it out in the "sport books discussion " off the main page, lots of good info on 5 dimes in there.

machida is a decision type of fighter--

I use 5 dimes, best MMA book, you can parlay anything---

THe odds will come out, they are already getting more odds--

BJ Penn is now +237 to win inside distance--

To win in each round, they offer that closer to fight time--

I think penn must be over +500 to win in round 1 or round 2---

Cap2-- Yeah Penn is a good value bet- styles win fights and this fight is prob around a pickem type of fight----

GSP is -175 at 5 dimes SKULLSHIFTER-----

You can make good money this way I think---

Parlay Penn to win round 1- +500 (estimate) with Arizona +11- you can buy points at 5 dimes on parlays-

parlay Penn to win round 2- +500 (estimate) with arixona +11 --

Parlay GSP to win decision- +288 real odds with Zona +11---


All we need is a PENN quick finish, if he doesent then we need a GSP decision win, which is likely if it goes to cards I think--

I often bet the rounds, because certain fighters are knockout fighters and certain fighters win in decisions--

I'm just as excited for this one as I am for GSP/Penn...

Two contrasting styles for sure - gonna be interesting to see if Guida can come out at his frantic pace, keep it standing, and test the chin of Diaz early... but I think Diaz's stand up is very underrated, and he matches up well with Guida in this aspect given his reach advantage. But I don't think it'll matter cause I'm fairly confident Diaz takes this fight to the ground early...no doubt Guida is one of the best conditioned in his class and has some boxing in his background, but just don't see how he avoids the ground with Diaz pressing the issue early and often -the wrestling can only take you so far in defending jitz. Diaz is my favorite young fighter, mainly because i'm a jitz guy and he's one of the best in his class. Diaz also has some of the most dangerous elbows i've seen to go along with his submission game, and can end a fight in a hurry if he opens a cut over an eye.

also think Diaz gets the dub by way of submission, hopefully early:cheers:
 
just added gono at +525 for 1u no way should john fitch be that heavily favored yes he is the better fighter but gono does have some slick submissions and some good kick boxing skills that could give fitch some trouble

Penn is constant at 170 lbs

Penn wont be cutting weight so his strength should be constant--

Gsp needs to gain back 10-15 lbs by drinking water i guess back
 
Everytime they have a preview or the staredown, PENN is looking really focussed--

GSP camp is saying he is the best ever and will out everything BJ, out strike, out wrestle, out kick, out think--

This will be a good fight

I think using a gameplan may not work as BJ can do different things and is talented enough to do damage in a variety of ways--

I think GSP will stick to a plan, where PENN will also have some plan. i dont think PENN will come out swinging like a maniac--

I think he may go for a hard punch but will do it with caution and try to stun GSP with one hard shot and then finish him.

See the post fight - based on pre fight info that Rob Emerson used on Manny Gamburyan Manny in a fatal error said on the pre fight live feed moments before the fiight that he would charge accross the cage at the word go...Emerson was watching and because of this was ready, he did what (manny) said he would and BOOM one punch and down...

Point is who the fuck nows what the true game plans are...guess we'll see...
 
to add... Emerson commented in the post fight interview something like "well I was watching on TV and he said he was going to some right at me so I was expecting it..
 
and yes Sammy very good point and it's been eating at me...GSP has not really had to face a big striker...not that BJ is one but he is close...

IMO only way Penn wins is a big shot early leading to whatever...can't wait - for whatever - it's a great night and fight for MMA.

One thing to consider is in the 205 range and heavyweight the fights are over fast because when those guys hit they have knockout power, evans, quinton, Mir all knocked out opponets with one punch-----

So in the lower weight ranges what happens is that the fighters have no knockout power like GSP vs Fitch, they cant knock out a guy with one punch--

so you have longer fights because of the lack of power in the strikes--

When yuo get hit by Quinton, evans, fedor or silva, you are going to be knocked out, its that simple-

-- GSP or Penn, that's the silver question this weekend (golden question being does Ariz cover Sunday night). I watched the previous fight multiple times looking for an edge. I have to side with Penn at plus money. Penn looks more comfortable on the ground, and considering GSP's background, that speaks volumes re Penn's Brazilian Jiu-jitsu skill. I learned BJJ from Sam Hoger while I was in college, so I obviously like watching two BJJ practitioners go at it. The only advantages I afford GSP are kicks and speed, but alot of that speed is negated because I think Penn is very efficient when punching. I give Penn an edge on the ground and stand up. With those two advantages, I don't see any reason to pass up +150 or better if you shop. This Penn-GSP fight reminds me alot of Griffin-Rampage: plenty of reasons for each to win, so why not take plus money.

You cant be 5 foot 10 and 187 pounds and have no body fat--
He looked normal at that weight---

He looks all cut up at 170 because he just lost 15 pounds of water weight--

Add in the tight underwears and all the oils they put on him and he looks ripped

machida looked a little flabby but I think he looks flabby always--

Guida looks like a midget compared to DIAz--

any idea who takes taht fight, the diaz guy is a submission guy and Guida pushes the pace, unknown if he pushes the pace and if Guida just takes over and smothers him-

3 round is harder to get a submission so if Guida wins the first round or 2, Diaz will need to finish with a submission

That's not true. I don't know that I've ever seen a submission in the 4th or 5th rd. They are always too slippery by then. I would venture to guess that most submissions come in the first 2 rds
