Gymnastics competition to go to, so going to lock in the early ones.

Anaheim +105. Devils injuries have really hampered them lately. Both teams have played similar competition with anaheim being a bit more successful. Would prefer markstrom in net, but looks like they may put allen in. Ill take what i feel is the better team in this situation at plus money.

Minn -115. Was already eyeing the wild. Then the trade...and you like it. But ottawa has played much weaker competition recently picking up wins on the road vs cbus and habs and losing 3 home games (noting the rangers as quality comp). Wild have played much tougher foes recently beating me when i had a play on dallas. Gimme the small home fav. I rate as having a big edge in goal, so thats nice too.

Sharks +143. They are beginning to be one of my favorite dogs much like the marlins were in baseball over the summer. Scrappy team that gets pucks on net with bend but dont break goaltending. I was on the pens last time out and they laid an egg. Missing malkin hurts, of course, but this team has enough pieces where they can over come that in the short term. Projected goales are askarov and silvos. Ok, ill take the dog all day at this price given these circumstances.

Wild deal was aggressive - could end up being a good deal for both teams. Wild get the best player in the deal but Van gets a pretty good haul and they need a lot of help.
 
I would only have Sharks at that price, but think the Pens start fast and win the 1P today. Sharks have only won the 1P twice in its last 10 games. Pens have only lost the 1P three out of last 10. Sharks on last game of week long road trip with an early puck drop so may take them a period or two to find legs. Pens have been good at avoiding losing steaks so far (current 3-game losing streak tied for longest of the season), but I still think they’ve been playing a little over their heads. In other news, I’ll be at the game Tuesday night….hoping for a Jarry/Skinner matchup!
 
Ducks have been a play on team and Devils a play against team so looked at Ducks. Not sure if Devils respond after this team meeting or not, but a desperate team and an early East Coast puck drop were enough to keep me off Ducks, especially with such a big slate of games. Good luck with the play!

Jesper Bratt shared that the #NJDevils had a team meeting after tonight’s game and called it a “vocal” and “honest conversation.” Said the details will remain in the room.​

Man, that will be a good game to attend on tuesday, jealous! I tske it you live in the area? Wva guy originally. Went to wvu and hate pitt...hate. but always loved pens as ling as i can remember. Mike lange and eddie olczyk were the voice of my hockey youth. Lange' after goal calls are legendary. Might see if they have a video blend on youtube of those to relive my youth. But i digress....

Didnt even look at rangers or isles game. Isles due to horvat injury. Just going to root for them to come through. We will see what they do against the lightening here today.

Rangers....wanted to wait till i read the post before even getting rear that. Plus...i already liked 7 sides and a total...so a -142 fav got left on the shelf. I dont disagree with your position at all.

GOod points with anaheim and sharks about the early starts for them and about the locker room pep talk. I didnt dig in near that much, but good info to know.
 
Haha. Yep, born and raised and never left. Just keep moving further South so not too far from WV now. I did not go to Pitt but root for them although don’t hate any of the “local”teams (Penn State, WVU). Thats not a popular opinion around my Pitt buddies (they seem to hate Penn State more than WVU these days). Ducks are getting some good chances early. Keep it up.
 
Pens 1P -155

Don’t love laying -155 on a 1P play but I was determined to make this play and wasn’t about to let the oddsmakers discourage me.

May get snowed in today which may lead to more late action. That line in Colorado is insane. Not that I want to bet Nashville to beat Col 2 games in a row but Nashville is playing much better hockey and that win vs Col was not flukey. They should have won in regulation. Not much value in a Nash PL play though as 12 of their losses have been by 2+ goals (including the last 6)!

Not sure what to do in the Det/Chi game. Det may be tired at the end of their road trip and not sure how Hawks respond to the Bedard injury.
 
Yeah...insane line in colorado. Almost worth a small shot on the ml for nash as they have been playing well. Their tt is 2.5 +137. Colorados is 3.5 -170. I think the ov6 is the best way to go in that game.

Because of that bedard injury. Didnt even look at that game or consider it. Funny...money pucks reduced the chicago win probability 8% from last night due to that injury. Pretty signifigant for one guy. Other than that....ive got nothing there.
 
What a wild 1P. Both teams getting tremendous scoring chances and we should see some more PP opportunities. I can see both teams getting to 3.
 
Got through the late games and only one I might add is Caps. Jets are just a mess right now and Caps keep rolling along. Thompson confirmed in net. Sitting at 2-0 on the day so hate to piss it away with late adds. May just pass and play the bowl game instead. It’s supposed to keep snowing here so nothing to do but shovel, sip on Xmas beers and gamble!

Man...overtime loss on a 250 pup and the pens blow 2 games in a row when up big.

Went to jags game today. Didnt play anything. And after yesderdays antics i put myself into, did manage to scratch out just under a unit, i wanted a break. I woulda been 1 and 2 on my leans with an buff over to sweat out. Glad i stayed away.

That profit i did manage yeaterday, i spent that and more taking one kid to an NFL game and i DIDNT DRINK THERE! Holy shit yhat stung, good time, but regular folks would have a hard time going to multiple in a season.

No wonder these players get these massive deals. Profootball is so rich, its crazy. How many nfl teams salaries would it take to pay the all the nhl salaries. Just player salaries.
 
Shitty day in NHL yesterday. I was originally going to play Phil +1.5, but decided to go with the big dog odds instead, even though I know Phil is a bad OT team. Was torn between taking Seattle or the under in that game and made the wrong choice. What could have been…. For today, looking at Fla, Ducks and Nash. Ducks will be a play for sure.

Never been to Jags stadium. At least you got to see a lot of scoring (which is good unless you were there for the Jets). I took a flyer on Jags to win the SB last season and they were terrible. Wish I had that ticket this year.
 
They are not quite SB contender yet. I am a jags fan. Used to be a jets fan ironically. I like new jags coach, and wr got rid of balke so thats a plus too. They have some pieces.

Im not in the camp that thinks lawrence is "the guy", but, to his credit, he has never had any consistency to his coaching staff in his career (fuck urban meyer). They should get in the playoffa, barring an epic collapse, and might win a game or two.

They just dont have a good enough oline or a defense that is capable of shutting anyone down. Game a denver next week will be crucial, although they do finish up with indy and titans. They are moving in the right direction and i do love some of these receivers who have ability but neet to show consistent capability.

I agree with anaheim. They will be on my card. Rangers have been on there alot lately, but their offensive pieces need to nend and gel a little more for consistency. I thi k we are both rightfully high on anaheim.

Im leaning the other way with lightening. Panthers seem to be letting too much traffic in front of bobbo, which could spell trouble. Nashville or over for me, but i wonder if bkues will help out with the over. It also doesnt help my thinking that 7 were scored a few games ago between these two. Nashville is playing much better than their recent recors indicates.

I also like under with kings and stars. I dont need to say alot about that one. No idea in the aenators game. If i had to bet it i would be on the home team.
 
Yeah, I don’t think jags are gonna win the Super Bowl but at least I would be able to hedge in the playoffs. Last year they were total dog shit.
 
Do you like anything in steelers game? I seem to have gotten them wrong more than right.

I too rolled with ducks. Also went with nashville and lak/dal un. I did see desmith was in net for stars instead of ottiger (sp?).
 
I like Achane props. And stalking a Steelers live play if they go down early (which I suspect may happen).
 
Only thing i had a moderate interest in was the over. Ill just be a fan and watch after wyoming game is over
 
I knew it was in trouble when the Steelers went up 21-3. Thought about buying out but couldn’t get a good opportunity. Should have played all my hockey leans!
 
I like way too many games today so need to trim it down a bit. Flames top play for sure. After that I like Isles, Bruins (this line is a head scratcher), Rags and Wild. Tor and Col could be a good ml parlay as I’d be shocked if either lost. I’ll be at the Pens game vs Edmonton but have no idea how to play it. Skinner vs Jarry!

That should be a fun game to be at!

My Wings have lost 7-2 and 5-0 this year vs those Islanders... Back at it tonight in Motown. Two days rest from the trip. We shall see.
 
Det swept Isles last season so time to return the favor. No Kane but Det does spread the scoring around. Gibson has been great lately too so will see.

Cal would be yhe only side in consideration. Yhose shatks injuries stink. Firgured they would be dogged today as an enticement to take a hot team at home witj plus money. Those injuries tho. Tough breaks.

ONly way to play tor and avs would be to group them.

Huge card tonight but trying to take advantage of the hot streak. Best play is Calgary. Wolfe owns SJ (he is a local kid from Cali) and SJ is returning home from a long road trip. Calgary swept the dads trip last season and expect them to do so again.

Will come up with a smal play in the Pens game for no other reason other than I like to have money on the game when I’m there. I’ve been pretty successful with their 1P plays lately so will look there first.

That was a bad spot for the Rangers yesterday and we took advantage. Didn’t think they played awful though. They need this game and we are getting a cheap price against one of the bottom teams in the league.

They are on a losing streak, but they are a decent team trending up (played well vs Vegas last game) and hungry for a win AND they are well rested. Emotional game for Anaheim yesterday and on the back end of a b2b at the end of a long road trip. Line is telling.
 
THe last 5 columbus games have been against much better competition than the ducks have faced. Iales and rangers would be yhe quality comp for the ducks.

Ducks off a back to back picking up a great hard fought win jackets have been scoring, just not enough.

Statistically, i would give the goalie edge to cbus here as iy looks to be greaves vs husso. Ducks are a solid squad. Cman and i both were on them last night and plenty of other times this year.

This is a play, for me anyway, where i feel like i am getting some value on my play, with the home team hungry for a victory against a quality foe who had a tough game last night.
 
Big comeback win for the Sharks vs Pitts, but yeah, those injuries suck. It will show a lot about the team and how it responds to those injuries.

Sharks recalled forwards Igor Chernyshov and Ethan Cardwell from the Barracuda of the AHL. Chernyshov, one of the Sharks’ top prospects, leads the Barracuda with 23 points in 25 games, and Cardwell has nine points in 14 games.
 
Great info Vap, thank you. Although those are suitable replacements temporarily, i think it would take at least a game or two to figure out the right line combinations and let them get acclimated to pro speed of the game.

Ive been high on this shark team this year for their scrappiness and never quit attitude. Ill be on them more again soon enough.

This seems almost like another day like saturday where a had 8 or 9 plays. It might be anoyher of those fuck it nights and play em all.

Looks like lindgren is going for wash insyead of thompson, which i dont necessairily like to see for my u6 play there. But, whats done is done. Looks like the wild also ruled some guys out. Well, thats on me for not being patient.

Tough game for the Pens. Had a goal taken away in the 1P and then 3 consecutive penalties gave Edm a long 5 on 3 advantage and they scored twice. All downhill from there. If you have a chance to go see 97 play I highly recommend it. He has another gear that is impressive to see in person. Skinner should be fine. Most of the goals were not his fault. Had 4 of those arena sized Blue Lights so feeling a bit rough today.

Went 3-3 and lost some juice last night.

Initial leans: NJ/Veg under, Fla, Nash, Utah/Det over, Win

Quick thoughts. I suspect Gibson gets a rest so probably a battle of struggling goalies there. NJ can’t score and now they have to play one of the strongest defensive teams in the league - expect a tightly played contest. Fla is cruising and Kings struggling (and without Kuemper)…price seems cheap. Nash and Car both in win mode but getting a nice price with the home dog. Win is desperate for a win. They played well last 2 games. Stl is depleted. Somebody has to win this game…over also a possibility there depending on goalies.
