2016 NFL Survivor discussion

I am a bronco fan from jersey (grew up with an elway football and shit, always liked them since), family members are jet fans though, I'm torn. Seriously, been contemplating everyday since tuesday lol
 
35% of my pool is on Minnesota tonight, so a loss there would obviously be big. Looking at Week 9 already. Liking KC, SD, and Seattle

This week without much looking I like KC at home vs Jax. As long as Alex Smith is healthy and a go. Minny at home might be a pick also against Detroit. Fading the Browns every week isn't a bad idea either. They are a mess.

for week 9 best picks are Seattle (circadian rhythm blowout),Dallas, GB, & San Diego imo

Looking at either Seattle or Green Bay this week. Have both available. Looking ahead, week 12 is going to be a "throw dart" week.

I like Saints in the dome for week 12. Week 11 looks tougher for me. Colts at home vs Titans is my tentative pick
 
Anyone considering Dallas this week if they have them available? The browns have to win at some point right?
 
Used SEA/CAR/MIA/CIN/MIN/BUF/DEN/NE. Liking KC, DAL, and GB this week. KC banged up at RB and maybe have to use Foles but I have no respect for JAX and especially with the game in KC. Foles looked good if they have to use him and KC has enough skill position players to score on JAX. Leaning hard this way. DAL v CLE makes sense also. CLE will win at some point, more than likely not this week. Dak showed he's still a rookie but DAL should be able to go into CLE and mow them down. GB and IND both extremely banged up all over the field. IND really sucks but they still have Luck who could always go off. Down the road if I'm still alive I'm hoping ARI gets their shit together after the bye hosting inept SF week 10. BAL could be on the short list hosting CLE. Looking past next week is fruitless considering how quickly a team can change almost overnight (witness the CHI v MIN game). I'm hoping some of the teams I have left on the bench get healthy and/or start playing up to their potential pretty soon. ARI, GB, PIT can be very useful in the right spot if in top form (or playing against SF, CLE, JAX). Good luck this week.

My week 11 is looking at Seattle at home vs Philly, NYG at home against the Bears or possibly Pittsburgh in Cleveland (although I hate road teams). Starting to lean a little more on GB this week. If they can get some of their skill position guys healthy for Sunday, that is likely where I'll go. At home against a sieve of a pass defense in Indy and Rodgers should score often. I keep thinking back to that Indy/Houston 4th quarter where Osweiler dissected them. Rodgers, with Montgomery, Nelson, Cobb, Adams, etc... at Lambeau, off a loss and it lines up for a team I'm ok backing.
 
I have KC locked in but am hesitant now with Foles getting the start. Might just have to change it.
 
Foles did well in replacement last week, albeit against indy d, but on the same token, it's the jags d. Also reid knows foles, wanted him there for that reason. Sticking with it for now, can always reevaluate later
 
Dallas....GB....Seattle

Chiefs worry me without Smith and Ware. Also aren't great as a big home fave. Vikings were a thought until Norv quit, that can't be good.
 
GB has 3 straight road games, so if you're pool is really short like mine this might be the only week you can use them. if pool isn't short hou at home week 13 seems like the right time to use them
 
seems like a terrible terrible spot for dallas. off a bigtime comeback home div win, up 2 games in div on road. I guess Cleveland is as bad as they come though. tough to see them winning
 
agree it's a terrible spot for dallas... I'm going with SD this week I think...

regarding dallas, Cleveland just announced that Kessler will be starting to evaluate his long term option...So Dallas is still tempting.
 
SD is a good pick. Hunter is out but SD defense has been playing better the past few weeks
 
Went with Green Bay. If Indy gets dominated at home by KC with no QB or RB, no way they go into GB and beat Rodgers off a loss (Hopefully)
 
Too many red flags for KC this week IMO. Going Saints, Chargers or Seahawks. Leaning NOLA

Not much blood drawn in my league, as Packers was the only pick with a somewhat significant number losing. Seattle losing tonight would be nice. I ended up with the Saints with an easy win. I've already marked Arizona for next week. San Fran is terrible and David Johnson should have a field day. Other than Baltimore, don't see anything available to me that is of interest. Those will definitely be the top 2 picks next week
 
how many went out on MIN?

not sure i posted this, but i got eliminated cuz i missed the deadline thinking i could pick ARI on MNF before gametime as i was out at brunch and both my pools cut off at the start of the first sunday game. FML

That's how our pool does it too. Also, a tie counts as a loss in the pool
 
Sorry to hear that, of the 6 that were left in my pool (5 moved on 1 has seattle) was shocked to see none take packers,

I've used Cin/Sea/Mia/Ari/Buf/Pitt/Den/Nyj/Kc

If seattle loses, I'll be the only 1 with patriots left. Obviously believe most, if not all are taking baltimore, idc that it is cleveland I just don't want to do a short week divisional game.... or is this obviously to go to pass up and save pats for another week. I can't take arizona but that's the only other choice I see people taking.

Next best is SD vs Mia, not doing that one.....

Used SEA/CAR/MIA/CIN/MIN/BUF/DEN/NE/DAL. Started with 48 players, down to 8, lost one this week GB. Pussied out on using KC and went with DAL figuring I could come back with KC next week when they host TB. Using ARZ this week. Would love to see the Browns come through this week in BAL but that may be a pipe dream after the way DAL handled them with ease last week.

Thought the same thing about Dallas last week but this team is just bad. They also have Pittsburgh on deck, so if they are getting "up" for anything it would be them
 
I'm taking Arizona. It's either them or the Ravens, and I trust Zona more.
 
Regarding the Ravens, if they win tonight then they are 3-0 in the division. That's enough incentive to beat the Browns. The line continues to drop however.
 
I got by last night with Baltimore. Was a little worried at HT with them down but luckily they played well 2H.
 
Glad I was out doing family things yesterday evening and not tracking Arizona game. On to next week thankfully
 
This is going to be a tough week for me. Looking at: NYG, Colts, Lions, KC, Sea, and Oak. No strong leans as of yet
 
I think Lions and Raiders are solid picks. I don't see the Colts beating Tennessee.
 
raiders off a bye are good.... like Gmen regardless how they do tonight i think Chi is a dumpster fire now with cutty... B2B roadies for chi dont like they got blown out at tampa as usually teams play better following week but regardless Eli should do damage against Chi D

Yeah that was one I had marked a few weeks ago when I still thought the Titans were garbage. They aren't great by any stretch, but they have been playing much better
 
Alshon Jeffery has been suspended for PEDs. That makes the NYG more enticing now
