2012 - 2013 Offseason Thread

depends on the money

my guess is due to the playoff performance he is undervalued

270/370/480 ish

is a very decent OF

agree with you smoke, no desire for swisher. god damnit do the Phillies ever want any right handed hitters?

Josh Hamilton’s deal with <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(102, 181, 210);">#</s>Angels will be 5 years, source tellshttp://FOXSports.com . <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(102, 181, 210);">@</s>MLBONFOX

year 4 and 5 of that deal with him and Pujols could be very very rough, make Wells' current salary look like nothing

Red Sox fans should be glad they got rid of all those contracts to free up money for Victorino and Dempster

its funny how Philly fans hate the Howard contract but are whining that we didnt pony up for Hamilton.

Also, glad Josh went to a place like LA and not somewhere were drugs are prevalent

The real way this fucks the Phillies is not bc we dont get Hamilton (which was never happening) but that we already traded for Revere when we probly now coulda got Bourjos for cheaper

Wells doesnt play center

Im just assuming theres no chance they trade Trumbo right?

Not that wed have enough to get him anyway, but

The ballpark is next to Disneyland, drug free zone

I don't know, but shouldn't we at least get a look at D'Arnaud before giving up Arencibia. The last "can't miss" Travis didn't work out so well...

Arencibia can't play 1st base, his only value is that he's a catcher

he's a .220 hitter

thats horrible for a 1B, would be one of the worst in the league

More fuel to the mets jays trade
Mets will be getting top Blue Jays hitting prospect C Travis d’Arnaud, as well as maybe C John Buck, another player, and one of Noah Syndergaard or Aaron Sanchez (who are considered Toronto’s top two pitching prospects). Blue Jays OF Anthony Gose is not likely to be included. Thole rumored to be included with dickey to Toronto.

Could change because <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(102, 181, 210);">#</s>Bluejays will likely send some $$ to <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(102, 181, 210);">#</s>Mets to cover some cost of Buck, so could be another prospect rather than $$

Can confirm rpt earlier from colleague <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(102, 181, 210);">@</s>NYPost_Mets current construct of Dickey trade is 4-for-3 (Dickey, Thole, minor leaguer)<s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(102, 181, 210);">#</s>Mets (cont)

Buster Olney<s>@</s>Buster_ESPN Jays' rotation in '13 lines up to be, in some order: Dickey, Morrow, Buehrle, Josh Johnson, Romero. That's pretty impressive.

Jays have to be the favorite in the AL east right now, no?

Drawing a blank on the back end of their pen though? Decent?
