Welcome to the wildest coaching carousel we've seen ...

Add Michigan State to the schools looking for a coach. So now Mich State is paying two ex-coaches while having to pony up for a new one

Maybe Smith will go back to Oregon State. He shouldn't have left that job for Michigan State in the first place.

Not like appearances matter I suppose, but Jonathan Smith is not aging well at all - looking pretty rough from just a couple years ago! And Pete Golding, holy shit!
I think Golding looks similar to Patricia when Detroit hired him.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think that previous Michigan state coach was fired for cause and they didn't have to pay him.

Michigan State needs to hire a guy like Mark Stoops who can deal with never getting top talent and a good enough coach to always make them a physical team that brings it ever week

Midnight Mel. Sexual harassment for cause but he’s fighting it. Naturally.

That was a big part of the stupidity with these contracts that doesn’t get talked about enough.
He was 16-14 record or some shit like that and I’m guessing Sexton used him (I think LsU was in the shit at the time, ironically) during another coach arms race.

These schools are run by idiots paying the money they do with enormous buyouts to these coaches most of whom show how bad they are and are fired within a few seasons.
