952 Atlanta Braves* +120 vs Miami Marlins x1
951 Miami Marlins/Atlanta Braves* Under 7½ -120 x1
Its get at of town day early game so some starters are on sit-down alert.Looks like two from each tm reasting. While I will give the Fish a slight advantage today, I cant turn down this kind of plus $$ on the Braves. The Marlins have been the most disappointing team in the National League ( Stanton isn’t hitting at all) thus far and the Braves the biggest surprise. I doubt either lasts. Veteran right-hander Dan Haren goes for Miami and he pitched well in his Marlins debut, allowing the Rays just a run and four hits over six innings. Last year while with the Dodgers, Haren made one start against the Braves and beat them, allowing two runs in six innings. Kelly Johnson is 6-for-14 with four doubles and two RBIs off him. Lefty Stults starts for the Braves. He was decent in his Atlanta debut, allowing three runs and seven hits in five innings. Stanton is 2-for-7 career off him with a homer and two RBIs. Martin Prado hits .385 off him with a homer and six knocked in.
964 Cleveland Indians* -117 vs Chicago White Sox x 1
963 Chicago White Sox/Cleveland Indians* Over 7 -125 x1
Danks @ 0-1, 6.35 ERA is coming off a tough first outing against the KC in which he went 5.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and 1 walk. Cleveland starts Trevor Bauer 1-0, 0.00 ERA who was impressive in his first start of the season against the Houston Astros, going 6.0 innings, giving up no runs or hits while striking out 11.Although Bauer looked mighty impressive in his opening outing, he can have some control issues and although it’s a small data sample (21 AB), the current White Sox roster is hitting .429 off Bauer. John Danks hasn’t fared much better in his career against Cleveland as the White Sox in a combined 210 at-bats are hitting .290 off Danks. With both teams having past success against each other’s starter I have to try the Over here and hoping the Indians come back after last nite fiasco. btw, Carrasco was hit in the face by a line drive that knocked him out of the game in the 1st inning. Carrasco who the Indians just signed to a 4-year extension, looks as if he did escape any major injury as X-Rays have come back negative and shouldn’t miss any extended time.
