We have lost Bloodhound

Wiretowire

Pretty much a regular
It is with great sadness I have to tell you all that Bloodhound passed last night, Tuesday 11/15, during a surgical procedure in his battle with cancer.

To say he was the best damn capper I ever saw is to trivialize his contribution as a friend and human being. I had the good fortune to have known him for the last 20 years both on the internet and in person. He and I have made several trips to Las Vegas and we talked almost every week on the telephone.

But the thing I will miss most about him was his kindness. Talking capping and sports was fun but I always loved the way he always cared about everyone he ever met. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. Ever. He was always quick to laugh and he truly cared about everyone's well being.

I could probably go on forever about what kind of man he was but I will stop here as words can't accurately convey who he was. I will greatly miss him.

I see that Tim and CTG have organized a fund raiser and I think Tracey needs the help as much now as ever. Also, I would greatly appreciate it if this thread or something like it could be placed in all the forums to notify the members. GL

We can copy your above post into all of the fundraiser threads. I'll get to it today.

Fuck cancer. This is very sad news, I'm sorry for your loss, it sounds like you and he were great friends. I'll be thinking about his family and hope they can find peace. RIP Blood.

Very terrible news. The worst. Fuck cancer. He always seemed to bring so much joy to the forum and his threads. I'm very sorry for your loss, Wire. His family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Horrible news to hear. He was one of the good guys for sure and will be missed. RIP Blood

RIP Blood. You will be missed. For those that know him and his family personally please convey my and CTG's deepest sympathies.

My condolences to Tracy, his family and friends!! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

RIP Chuck!!!

Damn this is just devestating news! I was feeling so good about the fundraiser and now he is gone! I'm just at a total loss for words right now!

Dreaded seeing this in the near future. RIP Blood. Sincere condolences to his wife and family. Sad news. Heartbreaking.

Chuck was always kind and gracious to me...I'm very sad and will miss him very much...

He was the first to pm on this site and always there to answer my email questions about capping. A true gentleman and mentor.

You're gonna be missed Chuck. I pray your family and friends with find some comfort to have known you and shared their lives with you.

:shake2:

Damn. I didn't know him but you could tell, just how he treated strangers like me on this site, that he was a quality person. His tone was always a kind and friendly one.

Thoughts to all of you who knew the man personally. I'm sure you're much better for it.

Frank

This song always reminded me of Blood, especially after he told me the story about his Daddy's still.

Brown Eyed Woman

Gone are the days when the ox fall down
Take up the yoke and plow the fiends around
Gone are the days when the ladies said' "Please
Gentle Jack Jones won't you come to me."

Brown-eyed women and red grenadine
The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean
Sound of the thunder with the rain pourin' down
And it looks like the old man's gettin' on

1929 when he stepped to the bar, drank to the dregs of the whiskey jar
1930 when the wall caved in, he made his way selling red-eyed gin

Brown-eyed women and red grenadine
The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean
Sound of the thunder with the rain pourin' down
And it looks like the old man's gettin' on

Delilah Jones was the mother of twins
Two times over and the rest were sins
Raised eight boys, only I turned bad
Didn't get the lickin's that the other ones had

Brown-eyed women and red grenadine
The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean
Sound of the thunder with the rain pourin' down
And it looks like the old man's gettin' on

Tumble down shack on Big Foot country
Snowed so hard that the roof caved in
Delilah Jones went to meet her God
And the old man never was the same again

Daddy made whiskey and he made it well
Cost two dollars and it burned like hell
I cut hick'ry just to fire the still
Drink down a bottle and be ready to kill

Brown-eyed women and red grenadine
The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean
Sound of the thunder with the rain pourin' down
And it looks like the old man's gettin' on

Gone are the days when the ox fall down
Take up the yoke and plow the fiends around
Gone are the days when the ladies said' "Please
Gentle Jack Jones won't you come to me."

Brown-eyed women and red grenadine
The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean
Sound of the thunder with the rain pourin' down

One of the best....will always remember his plays and good natured self....and that damn internet connection in the mountains.
Sad day at CTG

RIP Mr Hound

Sad to read this. Hound was the first one on CTG to welcome me and encourage my posting. Hearing and reading what everyone has to say about him shows the kind of person he was. Truly will miss and send condolences to all impacted.

RIP pard and condolences to any and all who have been impacted by his passing, such a class act all the way around. I'm sure he's been reunited with a few of his four legged friends.

I was lucky enough to call him a friend. I will miss my friend. My deepest condolences to Tracy and family. I remember so well his optimism, humor, and advice.

Ohhh Noooo!

RIP Blood

Was an example of a good man. Never met him, but through our encounters here he was always an A1 man.

I really hate to hear this news. Cancer is a beast. I have my own battle with cancer and have met so many great people in the last year that this effects. His wife needs and appreciates any and all support she can get. One thing I can say with confidence is that when you are afflicted with this disease you are often surprised that people that were acquaintances become friends and some friends become acquaintances. As I didn't know him personally, I will support through donation. For those of you that did know him continue to pop his wife a note as time goes on checking in on her. She will appreciate it

Tim...It would be nice to post an obit when / if one's done. I am (relatively) new to this site and did not know much about the man except his capping prowess and, as mentioned, how nice and friendly a person he seemed to be. If there's no obit please post whatever you're comfortable with about the man's life. From what I can gather sounds like an interesting one and I'd really like to hear more. Thanks.
