[h=2]SPURS AT NUGGETS, 9 P.M. ET[/h] November 5, 2013 · 8:17PM
TV: League Pass

  • Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried will return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in the first two games. Faried was slowed by a hamstring injury in the preseason and coach Brian Shaw felt he needed to get back up to game speed before plugging him back in. J.J. Hickson will come off the bench. “Kenneth was going to be in the starting role, but the time that he missed set him back in the first two games,” Shaw said. “Hopefully his energy that he brings will get us off to a better start.”
  • Shaw is also making a change at small forward. Anthony Randolph, who started there the first two games, sprained his ankle Friday against Portland and is questionable for tonight. Jordan Hamilton will start in his place after not playing in the first two games. With Danilo Gallinari working his way back from a torn ACL and Wilson Chandler (left hamstring strain) not playing, the No. 3 slot for the Nuggets has been a work in progress. “With the small forward spot, that’s still searching, trying to find the right match at that position,” Shaw said. “We can see Quincy Miller, we can see some of the big guys slide down to the No. 3 spot or see Evan Fournier or Randy Foye or Andre Miller slide over to the small forward spot. We’ll seek and search and find whatever combination we need to make it work.”
  • The Spurs will stay with the same starting lineup they used in Portland on Saturday. Forward Tim Duncan sat out the second game of the season, against the Lakers, because the team was on a back-to-back and Boris Diaw started in his place.
  • Denver C JaVale McGee will see a quicker hook in the hopes he can play more minutes. Foul trouble and effort have limited to around 11 minutes in the first two games and has given more time to Timofey Mozgov. “I’ve tried with him starting out with seven-, eight-minute stints,” Shaw said of McGee. “It seems to be too long. For him, maybe a five- or six-minute run, get Timo in, let him go for five or six minutes and bring JaVale back in. I’m tinkering with that. He doesn’t seem to at this point to be able to sustain for a longer period than five or six minutes at a time.”

Memo to Dwight Howard,

Instead of making the Rockets sign Hakeem as your personal trainer/coach, take notes from Brook Lopez's game.

Watching the Nets game and thinking that i can clearly see evolution in Lopez game. Just the opposite from Howard.

He's the best offensive center in the league. And it's not close.

The jazz defense is abysmal

I realize basketball's a game of runs, but this Indiana game is starting to get a little ridiculous...

Garnett says that Brook is the strongest big man he's seen in a while. Called him poised and mistaken for being lackadaisical. Also referred to him as chill lol

Kidd says that yesterday's practice carried over to today's game. He only allowed the players to take shots in the paint

Oh Dolan must be kicking someone's ass right now lol. Hopefully he doesn't fire Mike Woodson by next week.

Stan Kroenke should get on his hands and knees and beg George Karl for forgiveness. One of the absolute worst hires of all time...

Placed a small bet on the Nets -10. Jazz rebounding skills have kept them in games, but they are going against a really strong rebounding team today. They have a really weak offense, so i'm thinking the Nets stomp them today.

They lost the 4th by 8, yet still covered by 6.:shake:

also like couple those big faves today all lining up as blowouts

Brooklyn- off an embarassing loss with plenty of rest after this. DOn't see why starters don't get 34+ minutes. Kidd also looking for his first win. Utah with a very shallow bench, and a winnable game 2m.

charlotte with a winnable home game 2m and without big al still. NY off an embarassing home loss

NOLA fighting for .500. Phx without Dragic, who's one of like 2 legit NBA players they have

Interesting so they have only 2 legit NBA players. Learn new things every day.
