ATL/NYM Over- The Mets should hammer Hampton and don't be fooled by Pedro's last couple starts, he's dominated some teams that have quit and have no talent at the moment. The Braves might fit that category to an extent but they can still score a little.

It's a lot of chalk but the Cubs RL and -2.5 tomorrow.

I'm considering the Twins ML tomorrow and would like to see what you guys think about that game.

Only thing that jumped out was NATS rl and twins ml

I don't think the Nats +1.5 is a bad play. Redding has shut down the Phillies from time to time and the Phillies still aren't hitting like they should. Moyer is generally tough on DC, but I'd be mildly surprised if the Phillies win big tomorrow as a big time revenge scenario looms on the horizon against the Dodgers.

I actually like the under in Philly for the reasons you point out

Baltimore's last 50 games of offense -

11, 2, 9, 2, 5, 7, 5, 7, 10, 3, 10, 6, 8, 5, 7, 1, 1, 5, 7, 11, 1, 8, 8, 1, 1, 5, 6, 5, 13, 7, 3, 10, 3, 4, 5, 3, 4, 9, 9, 7, 8, 5, 6, 11, 11, 3, 16, 3, 2 & 11 run totals.

_8 totals of 0-2 runs.
_8 totals of 3-4 runs.
34 totals of 5+ runs (68.0%)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Baltimore has gone 74 games without posting consecutive Under results. They are 49-20-5 to Over during this period (Unders rate of just 27.0%), and are 18-0-2 to Over off their last 20 Under results.

The total of runs scored by both teams combined in Greg Smith's last 18 starts:

3, 7, 7, 8, 5, 7, 7, 4, 3, 6, 8, 21, 4, 5, 6, 4, 4, 4

Tomorrow's total Oak-Sea = 8.5 (-120)

17 OUT OF HIS LAST 18 STARTS HAVE GONE UNDER AND 17 OF 18 HAVE GONE UNDER 8.5!

It's the other Smith, and his bullpen mates, you'll want to be cautious of, IMO...

Oakland's total runs in their last 10 games against lefty starters:

1, 2, 1, 4, 2, 4, 2, 4, 0, 1, 4, 3

Oakland averages 3.4 runs per game against lefties and is hitting just .235

On the road this season, they average 3.9 runs and hit .239.

3, 7, 7, 8, 5, 7, 7, 4, 3, 6, 8, 21, 4, 5, 6, 4, 4, 4

:shake: good find.

Since July the 6th, the Chicago Cubs are...

- 24-2 SU in games which they've scored at least 3 runs (20-6 to Over)

- 0-11 SU in games which they've scored 2 runs or less (10-1 to Under)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Chicago's last 26 games of all-or-nothing offense -

10, 6, 2, 2, 9, 6, 7, 7, 11, 0, 5, 8, 0, 11, 11, 3, 3, 6, 10, 8, 11, 6, 1, 9, 5 & 1 run totals.

_6 totals of 0-2 runs
_2 totals of 3-4 runs
18 totals of 5+ runs (69.2%)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Capping a side for their games has been as straight forward as simply concerning yourself with how their offense will go.

Since July the 21st, the Texas Rangers are...

- 10-3 SU in games which they've scored 6+ runs (10-2-1 to Over)

- 2-14 SU in games which they've scored 0-5 runs (9-7 to Under)

mater, your thread questions would be better posed as posts in the daily MLB discussion threads. That's where you're most likely to get a result to your queries, either directly or indirectly.

I'll merge both into that thread once you've recognised this post.:shake:

nice GH...i'm thinking under there and if i had a gun to my head i'd play the under in CLE with clubber Cooper behind the plate...it may be a ump play on OAK depending hwen i see it cuz i'm not in love with much else

I hate how much they are charging and I hate the ump but Josh for Florida in a day game away after a Florida loss on 5 days rest, and just before Tim goes looks like a very good play. Florida just now ties with 3 runs in the 9th. HMM

hanley went out tonight with a thumb injury so he could be questionable....would the price drop if he's ruled out?

UN 8.5 -105 COL/LAD

Get-away game for both teams.
Day game after night game.
SQUAREsheet shows an era of OV 10.
Day/Night splits make OVER look like the correct play. I'm not biting.

UN 8.5 -105 COL/LAD

Enjoy reading this thread daily.

Isn't there a stat about SF being the shits on the game before the man to the left of this post pitches? Something like 0 wins in their last 18 games?

BTW, he pitches on Friday night.

Cubbies for sure thought Cubs would lose here . ..have to explore the RL at 3 to 1 and see if its worth it ...Zambrano's health ? Pulled after 5 n recent early lopsided game scares me ...

LAD probably...they should have won but didnt because of poor situational hitting ...8 hits through 4 innings only 3 runs and flat after that just 1 hit next 5 ! Lowe hasnt looked so sharp so over is an option IMO and any LH vs LAD is gonna be in trouble....so over as well....acknowledge SirTyler's strong points though so lineups again...

FLA almost stole one today late. Want to see lineups price is high though...SF suddenly winninga few in the day now but still about 35%......and also the Lincecum RULE that BC brought up...

Over 9 Phillies ...Redding has struggled lately vs Philly and could see them actually score 5,6,7 runs and Moyer usually good for a few as Wash tends to hit LH alittle harder ....lean Philly why is Wash winning ......

mets for the sweep? Playing well ...Pedro hasbeen good at home and not sure if ATL much tougher then Pitts lineup ? hell Pedro did well vs Texas at home granted game 2 of a DH....he says he is feeling good .....bullpen though..

If SD couldnt win today up 4-0 after 1 inn with Peavy then how is reinke gonna beat Webb??

Think I maytake KC ...Grienke when on is tougher then meche and KC at times hit LHP....Tribe in the day = Under and lack of offense...after 2 overs but hit the und even at 7.5 ....

Dont know why but LOVE yanks here....Burnett never loses vs NYY but Halladay edged twice .....Jays dont hit and Ponson has done a nice job lately. Keep jays to 3 and think we have a great chance ...see Halladay at home on normal rest in 2008 think everytime the opposition scored at least 3 runs...usually more....

While I may not be impressed by LAA in 2008 dont see why I would fade Lackey at only -150 would guess should be about -180 ...Lackey always cheap at home except vs Roy makes no sense to me.....

Under @ SEA?? remember the A's now 5-15 away vs LHP scoring 3 or less in 15 of them think 2 or less in 13 or 14 of those....Mariners not doing much better vs LHSP....Smith has been solid as a SP but after a hugh pitch count wasnt good last outuing need to investigate.....A;s road chalk vs a LH ....seriously? 5-15 is 25%...so I have to pay for a 25% chance of winning .....

THURSDAY tends to be UNDER day as it was said already its getaway day....GS UNDER ?????????????????

GL:cheers:

SN, sorry to hear about your LAD ML loss. I had the RL...been really busy @ work this week, but we'll get our PM SP discussions going again on Friday bud.

nice GH...i'm thinking under there and if i had a gun to my head i'd play the under in CLE with clubber Cooper behind the plate...it may be a ump play on OAK depending hwen i see it cuz i'm not in love with much else

Dont care much about the umps till I see the lineups and such but --

CLE 84-42 UND in day games past 3 years , 25-12 UND this year only 8-7 UND on Thursday but KC 11-6 UND on Thursdays.......:shake:

It happens . I hate not having the ability to leave parlays open because I suck at decision making . Had MILW ML , NYY -1.5 RL and LAD but did at 1PM shits changes ! By gametime though had a nice sized play on STL -1.5 and had MILW been at night that would have been my parlay...always hit and miss on those fuckers ...already pissed away 6 or 7 units in 3 days on parlays....and always lose just 1 gotta do more round robins justhate the payouts......

No prob bro...be around....

Are you ready for an unbelievable stat?

San Diego has a major-league high 31 home runs on the road since the All-Star break.

My amigo Adrian Gonzalez hittin .400+ on the road and .190 at petco.... God knows what this kid would do if he was traded somewhere where CF wasnt 500ft long.

under in anaheim makes sense. baker is usually solid through 5 and lackey is a stud. don't really want to risk laa's pen or baker after his second time through the lineup so first 5 is probably better than the full game.

There was a discussion in this thread a number of days ago about Florida showing the signs of coming undone. A little digging shows it's not a matter of if but when.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Since the All-Star break(ASB), Florida is...

12-4 SU off a loss
3-12 SU off a win

...but only 4-3 SU off their last 7 losses after initially going 8-1 SU since the ASB.

Their performances off a win since the ASB have stayed steady (at no time have they won more than 2 straight), but their performances off a loss are progressively getting worse.

Prior to the ASB, they averaged 4.86 runs/game, whereas since the ASB they've averaged 4.00 runs/game. Mirroring this offensive decline is the performance of 2 key players -

Dan Uggla
pre-ASB: .286 avg, hitting 1 HR every 3.52 games started
post-ASB: .202 avg, hitting 1 HR every 10.33 games started

Uggla is on a season high 19 game streak w/out a HR (previous high 12 games, a streak which started off of a multi-homer game)

Hanley Ramirez
pre-ASB: .311 avg, hitting 1 HR every 4.04 games started
post-ASB: .252 avg, hitting 1 HR every 7.75 games started

Florida has not scored 4+ run totals in 3 straight games since the ASB (32 games), after having managed that feat 27 times prior to the ASB (95 games). A note of warning: they play Thursday off 6 & 5 run totals their last 2 games ... indications are expecting 3 or less from them is hardly out of order.

Obviously their heavy Over ways pre-ASB have taken a downward turn -

pre-ASB: O/U 54-32-9 .... 33.7% Unders
post-ASB: O/U 14-18 ..... 56.2% Unders

I'm worried about laying 1.5 with FLA in a day game, even if it is against the lowly Giants.

The Oakland/Seattle under seems obvious. Great stats above, GH.

After watching first hand last weekend how bad Rowland-Smith and that Mariners bullpen is, and then seeing what Chicago did to them, I lean to the over. I know the A's struggle offensively, but still. Putting up 4 or 5 on R-S, et al. would not be a chore.

PLUS, Mariners have been hitting the ball and scoring runs lately (save their trip to Chicago). They've scored more than 5 runs on better pitchers than Greg Smith.

Thoughts on the CHC/CIN totals?
Fogg should get chewed up by the cubbies lineup and Z hasn't looked great this month. Neither Z or Fogg pitch as well in day games. Wind currently a none-issue as it is blow across the park (1st to 3rd) at about 9mhp. I'd love to take CHC TT ov but I have yet to see the line and it'll probably be rather juicey.

Euler was thinkin the smae thing for the CUBS TT... i bet its fucking like 6.5.. theyll put up 7 today easy im thinking

via 5DIMES.. total released

Barmeezee... I like it. Game Total over is worth a look as well. I don't see Z pitching a gem.

In San Francisco's last 17 losses they are 0-17 when given the +1.5 run line and additionally 4-40 in their last 44 losses.

no doubt and i feel like with Z in the line-up isnt the same as a pitcher batting he can hit as well
