Dallas with a chance to go up to the 500% finally after so many attempts
Knicks with a chance to get another Over, playing without any Center
Lakers with a chance to put some pressure on Utah, by winning the Spurs.

Kings off 3 ats wins, Rockets off 3 ats losses last being a home loss. If Houston wins out they still get the 6 seed, lot of motivation there. They should steamroll them imo.

Thing about the Knicks today--the magic number is 1, and they play the Bobcats tomorrow. I'd personally be careful backing them today, the players know that no matter what they will win tomorrow and they may not be THAT concerned about literally one extra day's rest.

Lakers should win this one easily I think.
Spurs prefer Lakers to face the Thunder, not Utah.
Spurs usually don't do well against injured teams. Heat are the last example, but they also lost to Minny and I saw on many occasions, that they just don't do well against teams that they should easily beat on paper.
Lakers without Kobe will almost surely pound the ball inside. Don't see who will stop Dwight and Gasol in the paint.
Also, star injured angle is here of course.

I don't mean to spoil it for you divol but nobody cares about avoiding the Lakers, especially one week after finding out that they have a week to figure out how to replace their best player and 32% of their offense.

To be perfectly honest, the Lakers are by far the weakest, most preferred opponent in this West going in, ESPECIALLY with Kobe down.

A little silly. Lakers watch Kobe crying because he could not play with them. Do the words DEDICATION GAME come to mind here.

The Nets find themselves in an interesting predicament entering today’s game against the Raptors.Despite officially wrapping up homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs, thanks to the combination of Friday’s win over the Pacers and the Bulls’ loss to the Raptors, the Nets still have something to play for over their final three games of the regular season.
If they win those three games and the Pacers lose their final three, the Nets would move up from the No. 4 seed to the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs — no small prize, considering that would mean avoiding the defending champion Heat until the Eastern Conference Finals.

Wants to keep playing.

Nevertheless, the odds of things playing out in exactly that manner are quite low, leaving the Nets with the question of whether or not to keep playing their stars — most notably Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez — until the possibility of the third seed goes away, or to begin resting their players for the start of the playoffs on Saturday or Sunday in Brooklyn.
“We had to continue to play [to lock up homecourt],” interim coach P.J. Carleismo said. “We’re in a different discussion now.
“We’ve got to weigh the pros and cons of resting guys and getting guys healthy and seeing what happens in these however many games remaining.”
Carlesimo said that after Friday’s win in Indianapolis, and a few hours before one of the game’s all-time greats, Kobe Bryant, crumbled to the floor inside Staples Center in Los Angeles after suffering a devastating and season-ending injury to his left Achilles tendon.
It’s exactly that kind of situation the Nets would like to make sure doesn’t happen to one of their stars.
But the Nets do have a few injury concerns to manage over the next several days. Gerald Wallace, the team’s starting small forward, missed Friday’s game after suffering a lower left leg contusion in Wednesday’s win at Boston, while key reserve Keith Bogans returned for Friday’s win after sitting out the previous two games with a tight lower back.
Still, Williams said after Friday’s win he wants to keep playing, in order to both maintain the Nets’ impressive closing form — they enter today’s game with wins in four straight games, as well as five of their last six — but also to not give up the chance of slipping past Indiana.
“I still want to play,” said Williams, who suffered several minor bumps and bruises in Friday’s win, but seemed fine afterwards. “We can still get the third seed. We have to hope for Indiana to lose some games, but it’s still possible. I think we have a good thing going right now, and we’re just getting Joe back [healthy], and hopefully we’ll get Gerald back soon.
“We need to be going full tilt going into the playoffs.”
Johnson, who has shown steady improvement in recent days after spending the last few weeks dealing with both a sore left heel and a right quad contusion, agreed.
“We’ll just take it one day at a time, and see how things go,” Johnson said.
For the next few days — or at least until the possibility of finishing third is out the window — that’s all the Nets can do.

Lean Knicks but can't fade the Pacers off 2 straight losses (5-1 SU and ATS).

Lang on Indiana...

  • Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson (sore right elbow) is listed as a gametime decision.
  • Cleveland’s reserves are averaging 35.8 points per game since Wayne Ellington and Marreese Speights played their first games on Jan. 25. That’s the third-most in the Eastern Conference, trailing only New York (44.2) and Detroit (36.2).
  • Tristan Thompson has 29 double-doubles, tied for seventh in the East.
  • Over his last three games, Kyrie Irving is averaging 29.0 points, 7.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds.
  • This is Philadelphia’s final home game of the season. The Sixers are 22-18 at home and have recorded winning records at home in 14 of the last 15 seasons.
  • The Sixers have hit seven or more 3-pointers in eight of the last 12 games.
  • Sixers guard Damien Wilkins has scored 10 or more points in 16 of the last 26 games.

  • The Brooklyn Nets (47-32) are looking to move up the Eastern Conference playoff standings with a win against the Toronto Raptors (31-48) on Sunday. The Nets helped their cause defeating the Indiana Pacers, who are only two games ahead of them, 117-109 on Friday.

  • The Raptors are looking to win their third game in a row and avoid a season sweep by the Nets after defeating the Chicago Bulls 97-88 on Friday, and are looking to win their fifth of six games today.

  • Nets forward Gerald Wallace (lower left leg contusion) will miss his second straight game, while Landry Fields and Terrence Ross are back in the lineup after injuries kept them out of the Raptors last game. Jonas Valancunas is still out with a neck sprain.

  • “The sense from the team is they would rather continue to play than rest. We’re not going to play them 39 minutes, but
their sense was not ‘Rest me I need to lay down for a couple of games,’ it was ‘We’re playing good right now, let’s keep it going.”

[h=2]PACERS AT KNICKS, 3:30 P.M. ET[/h] April 14, 2013 · 2:15PM
TV: League Pass

  • The Knicks will again be without Tyson Chandler (bulging disc in his neck), Kenyon Martin (sore left knee), Marcus Camby (left plantar fasciitis), Amar’e Stoudemire (right knee debridement) and Rasheed Wallace (fractured left fifth metatarsal). Solomon Hill will get his first start as a Knick in place of Chris Copeland. Martin and Chandler won’t travel to Charlotte for Monday’s game. “Tyson is getting better and Kenyon, surprisingly, is getting better, too,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. “Neither will travel to Charlotte.” He added: “We got Wednesday’s game so we’ll see where they are Tuesday and then make a decision if they’re going to play Wednesday [in Atlanta] or not.” The coach said both Chandler and Martin will be available for Game 1 of the playoffs. “Yes,” he said, “they will be there.” As for Camby, Woodson called him “day-to-day,” but said “I think he’ll be ready [for the playoffs], too.”

  • Wallace, who hasn’t played since Dec. 13, has been running the past few days and, depending on how he feels Monday, could play Wednesday against Atlanta. “It all depends on how he comes out of today’s workout, see how he feels tomorrow,” Woodson said. He added: “Rasheed ran the last few days, so he’s getting there. Still has a ways to go.” Woodson said Wallace would “for sure” be ready for the playoffs and said he’d love to get 10-15 minutes a game from him then. “I think anything from 10-15 minutes, Rasheed being on the floor would be a positive for our ballclub,” he said.

  • Winners of 14 of their last 15 games, the Knicks (52-27) lead Indiana (49-30) by three games for the No. 2 seed in the East and can clinch that spot with a victory. The Knicks are on track to face the No. 7 Boston Celtics in the first round, while the Pacers would meet the No. 6 Chicago Bulls. “After we come back from Charlotte we’ll come back and start on Boston when we get back,” Woodson said. If the Knicks clinch the No. 2 seed today, Woodson plans to rest guys this week. “If we clinch today I’m sure I’ll rest guys,” he said.

  • Carmelo Anthony is the NBA’s leading scorer at 28.7 points per game, and has a comfortable lead over Kevin Durant (28.1) with just two games to play. Anthony has scored over 30 points in seven straight games, and has also posted six double-doubles in the last nine games. He is averaging 31 points and 14 rebounds during that span.

  • Anthony, Stoudemire and J.R. Smith attended the Jordan Brand Classic Saturday night at Barclays Center. The game featured five of the top 10 projected picks in the 2014 NBA Draft, including rising stars Andrew Wiggins, Julius Randle, Jabari Parker and Aaron Gordon.

  • All-Star Paul George has slumped late in the season, averaging 13.6 points on 21-for-63 (33.3 percent) shooting in the last five. During that stretch, he’s 7-for-27 (25.9 percent) from the arc.

  • Danny Granger (left knee surgery) is out for the Pacers.

You have to think the nets are going to go into the locker room and see the pacers down big and play better in the 2h vs toronto

nets can get the 3rd seed winning out the rest of their games & the pacers would have to lose today, @ the celtics on tuesday and vs the sixers on wednesday

Don't agree. I think that Lakers still a head above Utah.

Divol : I have for a few yrs now considered you one of if not the best NBA capper on the net, but ya have to stop drinking the Laker Kool-aid. The moment they aquired Howard they became a disfunctional team & with the heart & soul of the team gone there is no chance.

Better served for SA if they drop this game, get the 2 seed and face the Rox in the 1st round. Lakers a scarier team without Kobe, IMO.

Refs somewhat say Spurs though. Sean 'Road Team' Corbin workin' this one. Joey C also and he hates both teams (not sure what agenda he's been given by Stern).

Lean Spurs, most likely staying away. Intangibles a plenty tonight...

Hornets season win total comes down to last game on Wednesday vs Dallas

27.5 was the line....sharp as a blade

Thanks you for the praise :)
As for the Lakers, everyone has the right to his opinion.
I think that a team with at least two hall of famers (without Kobe of course), is more dangerous team than Utah that is a very mediocre team and really shouldn't be in the playoffs imho...

Lakers win was one of the easier bets this season.
Utah tonight should respond, but it's not an easy game for them...
