I'm too lazy to type out all of my thoughts on this, but I assume you're making the case for tOSU to be in over them....yes they beat PSU and MSU but at the same time Alabama beat alot of quality teams too. And then it ties back to gaining by sitting...actually if OSU would have thumped Wisc I think they get in but they didnt. OSU needed to win big to leapfrog Bama, Wisconsin needed that win to leapfrog them. I don't think undefeated Wisc gets in without beating OSU....Because they also beat Penn State and Bama lost to Auburn. They also crushed Sparty. So Bama gained by SITTING
CricketsWhat quality team did Bama beat? Name 1
FSu was quality at the time they played. What quality team did Bama beat? Name 1
Bama was the better team. Just a shame to get two in and leave out two conferencesFSU and MSU were pretty good at the time. But they need to go to 8. OSU probably should’ve got it but they were very flawed and I think last year was a factor.

Fake news promoted themFSu was quality at the time they played.

Their bowl record speaks for itselfFavoring SEC like that over Big 10 is the biggest bullshit
tOSU has a lot of trash too. MAC opponents and a couple crap teams in conference as well.Iowa at home is a tough place to play. Scores get inflated. Just like Bama inflated the score of garbage teams it played like Vanderbilt Arkansas and Tennessee. I think that's crap.
tOSU showed its basement too by getting blown the fuck out by Iowa.I think losing against crap teams is not as bad as losing as bad teams. Otherwise Oklahoma and Clemson wouldn't deserve it. Heavily favored teams are allowed to lay an egg once in a while against teams they'd beat 9 outta 10 times. But when you play teams that are on your level, other big boys, you have to show what you got. OSU showed its ceiling by beating PSU, Alabama lost its equivalent chance.
and lost to Oklahoma. So, a wash for losing to Auburn let's say.I think losing against crap teams is not as bad as losing as bad teams. Otherwise Oklahoma and Clemson wouldn't deserve it. Then you go into the wins, in totality you can give a slight nod to OSU...but they lost another game - BIG. To a mediocre team.
why punish alabama for losing to Auburn? Why punish Ohio State for playing Oklahoma? Top-ranked team. Obviously the lesson learned is that every team needs to have a super soft schedule and not make conference championship game so you can sit and ride for free
why punish alabama for losing to Auburn?
This, again.Anyway, it is moot. They are in. Let's enjoy the game
Yup! This is what my Clemson alum friends said immediately. "Our reward for being the 1 seed is playing the 2nd best team on rest."Clemson got screwed the worst by OSU being left out. Alabama would be favored against any team.
In a third rematch at that. Instead of a team they own (OSU).Yup! This is what my Clemson alum friends said immediately. "Our reward for being the 1 seed is playing the 2nd best team on rest."
He’d be the 1st prior assistant to do soI think GA will win it all though. Smart beats the boss in the final.
NopeHas the 1 seed ever been a dog?
it's good for businessI swear the playoff committee just chooses based on biggest headline
Same in basketball. That’s why we always get Louisville or some crazy good 8-9 seed like Wichita St.I swear the playoff committee just chooses based on biggest headline
Would the best "biggest" headline not be a Undefeated UCF getting into the playoffs and a shot at a title?I swear the playoff committee just chooses based on biggest headline
