Afternoon cappers. Monday coulda been magic but some weirdness went down late in Houston. No big deal though. April has been a helluva ride and we still have a few good spots here as the regular season winds down.

LA Clippers +3.5 -110 4 units

This game basically runs con-current with Warriors game so the only thing I worry about is team seeing scores at half and such. My guess is the Clippers staff will make sure they don't and a full game will be played. I can't imagine the Suns players playing as much as last night. Coach Mike isn't going to let anyone get injured. I think Clippers will take advantage in 2nd half and give themslevs one last shot.

Golden State -6.5 -110 8 units

I played this last night at 6.5. It was still at this number this morning and has shifted to 7 recently. Avery had been resting guys up until Spurs game. Nothing like a good ole rivalry to bring out the fire in the little general. I don't see much of a Mavs effort here. I here talk of Dallas trying to win here to keep GS outta playoffs..LMAO. Dallas isn't worried about any teams out west other than San Antonio. Trust me. Not even Phoenix and Houston. They know they have one team they will have trouble beating and thats the Spurs. In fact, I think Cuban and Co. would like to play Nelson in first round. It would be that much more staisfying.

Orlando -3.5 -110 10 units

I know the first thing someone will say..."BAR...Washington has something to play for too!" That is true. They are playing for seeding. Add in Caron could be back for 2nd round and Hibachi says he may be able to spot 15 minutes if they get to finals..lol(sarcasm at its finest). This squad is horrible. They are lucky they Hawks are still in the league or who knows when they would win again. ORL and NJ see the light. Its called the 6th seed. No let-up from the Magic here who have played excellent ball down the stretch. Howard is too much inside and Jameer.Ghill are playing too well on perimeter.

GL to all tonight. I think we can take all of these. I plan on doing so. Any questions I will answer in next few hours up till 3:30 PM.

I'll go with LAC when I can hear more about Suns resting... which they should being on a B2B. PHO tough place to play though...

The other two look right.

What you think about Cavs -5 1H? No Iggy, Korver, Dalembert's been limited...

Leave the Hawks out of this ... I love the Magic and leaning towards Clips, but I'm worried about Dallas actually trying in this game, if only as one last practice for the playoffs. Avery loves that type of shit, but I'm sure I'll just lay off. GL tonight

Avery said the playoff dress rehearsal is tomorrow against the Sonics.

I had two pressing questions for Avery after today's practice.
1) What's up with Damp?
A: He practiced today, should get some minutes against the Warriors and will hopefully get extended minutes in Wednesday's regular-season finale.
2) Why not use the Warriors' game as your playoff tune-up?
A: Avery is expecting that the Warriors will be the Mavs' first-round foe. “We kind of already know what we’re going to do. We don’t have to get out there and show them, I would say. Right?”

Good shit man, I'm jumping on the Warriors then.

Cleveland would be a play but that full game line is grossly jacked up...like crazy. They still could cover though easily.

Al, given that both Orlando and the wiz have something to play for, don't you think this is a great spot for an over play? I like it. let me know

Washington would have to score for the game to go over.

He also said his starters were only going to play 25 minutes in the Spurs game.

Bar, Is orlando able to move up at all? I thought they were locked in 8..maybe im wrong or read wrong

Orlando has 2 games left. There are multiple situations that would allow them to move up to the 6th spot if everything worked in their favor.

saw this on another site

On my way to work, actually about 15 minutes ago (out here in Cali) Del Harris was on the Tony Bruno show on 1540 the ticket. I can't stand Tony Bruno but I had to listen to this interview when the first things out of Harris' mouth was "betting implications". Bruno asked him about tonights game trying to get some inside information and Harris was very leary about talking about it knowing any info on minutes and game plan could have an affect with the betting public. Anyways Del gave in and told Bruno that the Mavs staff is upset with the NBA and the schedule because they have to travel to the westcoast and the north pacific to finish their season with a back to back roadie. Harris says that Johnson plans to play his stars in limited minutes both games and wants them rested for the start of the playoffs. He says the team is not concerned about their record against Golden State the last couple of years and who they play in the first round. The Mavs just want to keep everyone healthy and fresh for the playoff run is the mission according to Del Harris.

Avery just can't let it go when it comes to SA.......it's just his thing. Everyone has one. LOL

  • All records will be verified by CTG staff. If there are any irregularities that members results may be voided at the discretion of the CTG staff.
Good Luck to All Members

Cant the Clippers still get through even if GDS wins? Meaning their effort wont lax even if they see GDS winning.

Even if both teams win, both can still finish the season 41-41, and the Clips would have the better div record.

I'm a freaking idiot...was thinking 2 hour delay still west coast, waited to place my bet til now on the Magic and it's already 6 minutes into the game

:an_roll_laugh:

here we go again...orlando up by a dozen at half, and now falling apart at the seams... dammit. i swear if gs doesn't cover i might the curse of all curses...sorry big al.
