BAW Nation NBA Playoffs...

Agree. Officiating has been so inconsistent, they let the guys bang and hack and then end of the game, any slight touch or a a guy breathes on someone and they call a foul. Ridiculous.

Freaking Nuggets cost me a $1000 last night. All I needed was them on the money line. Had them in several parlays and they were my last leg. I'm just now able to talk to people...been staring at walls all morning. LOL

The Pacers were totally robbed by the striped shirts last night.
The kick ball was obviously an issue.

The moving screen -- I think that was borderline but I saw the call coming the whole way.

Overall, that was a very even game. Turnovers kept the Knicks behind most of the game.

Bottom line, in "winning time" the Knicks made their shots.

15 seconds remaining in the game in a one point game to call a foul on that screen, which happens 20 times a game minimum with no call, was rediculous. Just my opinion. The so called kicked ball couldn't be reviewed lol.

An issue too and this somewhat correlates...

Just more exaggerated now than when I was growing up...

The difference in how a game is called between regular season and playoffs is stark nowadays.

I wonder if one or more of the officials had the Knicks moneyline :D

I can try and dig the thread but one of my biggest playoff bets ever was in 2007 or 2008..

Spurs and Suns 2nd round.

"That game"

Always a running joke that I knew Donaghy etc.

No bullshit at all, one of my favorite quotes ever - Donaghy said this to me directly about Stern -

“That fat little stuttering prick once told me his dream Finals matchup was the Lakers vs the Lakers”

Tough last two minutes.

Double Shot clock violations(basically) to end the game. So, in essence, a 11:10 4th quarter. That was taken into account (that being a large margin) when I bet it. I thought the Cavs would do a bit more in the 4th though.

But, that's why we went small.

The TT looks brutal so I'll explain my cap now.

Mind you, I like the OKC defense...

But, Mavs got up DD FTs + 44 first half FGAs. I like to be over 55 combined. So, we were right there.

The DD turnovers took away possessions as well.

Luka and Irving struggled a bit. Despite injury, expecting more from Luka.

Also, Mavs a 2h team.

That being said, flat ass start to 2h. They just seem 'off'.

Out guessed myself last night.

I had a few large under bets. That start to 4th scared me a bit. Bought out for middles at 9 min mark.

The next two minutes surged then basically Dallas stopped scoring.

Oh well.

Right thought process. Wrong instinct.

Knicks will be much better defensively in Game 2. That I really am confident in.

They should be able to score consistently versus this porous defense.

I'm curious if they try and slow the pace a bit. Pace only helps Indiana here. Wary of totals till I see strategy.

My gut as of 7:19am is the Knicks win this one comfortably. Game 1 feels like their "scare" for home games.

Hali can't have that stat night again or this is a short series. Nice all around contributions for Indy though in Game #1.

Good stuff. Still like the Knicks in the series, however, I am a bit concerned with regards to the Knick shooting almost 50% from long distance in game 1, and getting some home cooking. I’m on the Knicks -1.5 for the series and I’m a little worried about it. Considering playing off it. Good luck!

Knicks playing their starting 5 the entire game doesnt concern anyone?
Not too much.

No back-to-backs.

Short travel between venues.

They'll have multiple days off between Game 5 and 6 if the series goes that far.

Sure, the playoffs are more physical, but New York plays that style all year.

A Thibs-coached team is built better for this.

For this series versus a finesse team, I am not too worried. Maybe the Friday night into 3:30 Sunday turnaround is a bit tight. That is about it though.

Playoff scheduling is the easiest these teams receive all season long.

Tonight, should tell you all you need to know.

Six games max here, still, in my estimation.

Knicks won a game playing the Pacers style. Adjustments will be made. New York will shoot/score more consistently this series due to the opponent.

Haven't posted a play in a few days due to work constraints.

Have some live action already here but we'll try this in 2h

Boston tt 2h o55.5 -110.

2.5 units

Alright.

Gimme 48 or more in the 4th and have Boston score 33 of those and we're talking about a kick ass early game.

48+ is the most important though.

My middles from 1h are toast.

Same exact 4th quarter of each Game 2 of Boston series.

Down to start, the road team extends the lead and then very little scoring the last 6-7 minutes.

I sort of learned my lesson.... Tonight I refused to play any Boston bets, even at + money. Sure, a comeback was possible but this team tightens up in playoffs in these situations.

As far as the game total. Unposted I had a live over huge. I had the same thing posted back in G2 of Miami series.

Now, I did buy off half of the 4 units at the 7:19 mark. This gave me a 6.5 point middle for a 6 unit win. Nope. These teams scored 12 points the first 2 mins of the 4th then the game absolutely died.

Note that if we see this situation again. Boston regulars went out with 5 mins left. Even before that, they had scored 4 points the previous 5 mins of action.

Boston being blown out equals under.

So, I smarted up a bit, but still cost myself an extra 2 units on this game.

This has been an interesting week gambling.

I've won around 15 units on Games 1 and 2 in the Knicks Pacers series. Team totals, MLs and live overs. Just glorious.

Add in a few on that Minny game Monday late night too live.

Meanwhile I've lost almost 7 units in the Boston series on totals and team totals.

Then, in the Dallas series I had a bunch of unders I middled off stupidly. Add in a bad TT there.

Moral of the story, stick to the one you have the feel on ;).

Net I think for the week in hoops is 6.8.

But hey, another lesson learned.

Looking like OT in hockey again. What a series so far!

Really curious to hear your thoughts on the Knicks/Pacers game tonight. Pacers have hung in both games, and the zebras owe them a few calls, but boy is that a lot of points.

Pacers defense is brutal.

Period.

But, no OG is so huge.

Knicks really need to control pace tonight. I don't know why they are playing Indiana's game in this series.

Slow it down and frustrate this Pacers team.

This is a pure watch game for me. Not feeling either side. I'd have to see what adjustments NY makes first wrt the total.

Brunson questionable? I hadn't seen.

Interesting.

You know my deal and fading injuries. A big no no.

Just staying away tonight most likely.

Minnesota game see how it's called then proceed. Tight whistle, Nuggets have a chance.

I wouldn't be shocked at a sweep though.

Seems to always bite you when you fade injuries. But Knicks don’t have anyone capable of filling this minutes. But who knows it always ends up being a bad move to fade.

If Brunson is out on top of OG, I’d lay 10-11 easily though. You’d get 40 minutes of Burkes who has 1 minute this last month.

Trust me, I understand it.

If he's out, that line will close near 10 I'd assume?

That’s what I’m saying. Regular season I’m on Knicks if he’s out. Playoffs? These games been battles!! Replicating what Brunson has done is impossible..40+. On top of OG. Let’s say he goes and they hack him. Just doesn’t seem worth it idk.

Thinking we play Pacers in that instance but nothing crazy.

They have 7 other NBA talent players on the bench.
