Great job on tonight's game. Went the other way should have known better but I got out of the trap playing Washington +6 2nd Half. Great Job hugh:cheers3:
Thanks CASH and BJ. Pretty disgusted with that Hawks result. One thing to be on the wrong end of a beatdown when the opposition outplays you like last night with the Clippers and Spurs; it's quite another when the winning team only shoots 38%. And here Budenholzer thought he was being so smart by resting guys down the stretch, when all he's ended up doing is taking the team out of sync. Can't wait til they get bounced by the Wizards the next round.
4/25/2015 10:35 PM NBA Basketball 751 Memphis Grizzlies/Portland Trail Blazers* Under 95½ -110 for 2nd Half
*Barely any fast break points and barely any turnovers. Once the turnovers kick in, should ressemble the 1Q more than the 2Q, I think...
4/26/2015 6:35 PM NBA Basketball 505 Toronto Raptors/Washington Wizards* Under 197½ -110
*Figured I was in good shape in Portland when I went to bed with 5 minutes left in the 2H, then they go and score something like 30 the final minute of the game. Where amazing happens... Anyways, Wiz shooting above their norm the past few games, so pretty much expecting that to come down. Raptors probably gonna start squeezing the ball a bit, so not expecting too much from them either. And all three refs tonight are in the lower half in terms of fouls called per game, so not likely to be too many freebie points in this one. Thinking 185-190 range at worst, although the way my last two wagers have crashed and burned, who knows...
4/27/2015 7:05 PM NBA Basketball 509 Atlanta Hawks* Over 99½ -110 vs Brooklyn Nets
*Last three picks have been about as bad as you can possibly imagine. Let's see what happens with number four...
4/28/2015 8:05 PM NBA Basketball 517 Dallas Mavericks/Houston Rockets* Under 113 -110 for 1st Half
*Twice now I've gotten sucked in by the Grizzlies/Blazers and their "first six minutes can't score, last six minutes can't miss" nonsense. Hopefully I'm still alive in this one after the first quarter...
4/29/2015 7:05 PM NBA Basketball 523 Brooklyn Nets* Under 96 -110 vs Atlanta Hawks
*No clue what to make of that spread, but this one seems a little more straight forward as it pretty much hinges on D-Will having another breakout game and, well, that probably isn't happening, so...
5/1/2015 8:05 PM NBA Basketball 537 Atlanta Hawks* -4½ -110 vs Brooklyn Nets
*Yeah, so I made the decision a while ago I wanted to finish the playoffs in the black, regardless of the number of games left. Then I went ahead and placed this bet just now without realizing I wasn't up as much as I thought I was. Pretty much a microcosm of my NBA season this year, LOL...
6/4/2015 8:55 PM Props Basketball 2923 T.Mozgov points over 9* -130 vs T.Mozgov points under 9
*Not sure why this is the bet that compels me to revisit my season (not LBJ, not Curry, but Mozgov...), but I opened my mouth in the discussion thread, so... Anyways, Mozgov's hit 10, 23, 10, 14, 9 and 10 in his five games against the Warriors the past two seasons (obviously split between the Cavs and Nuggets), so there's that. Highest point per game average during his career? Against the Warriors at 10.5 in 8 games. Also coming off a productive offensive series against the Hawks where he averaged 10.8 PPG. Also helps to be going against a Warriors front court that's gotten burnt by the bigs they've played to this point in the playoffs (Mozgov obviously not in the class of guys like Howard, Randolph, Gasol and Davis, but Bogut clearly not offering much as the last line of defense).
Hopefully the Cavs take advantage of one of the few mismatches working in their favour.
6/7/2015 7:55 PM Props Basketball 5053 JR.Smith points over 15½* -115 vs JR.Smith points under 15½
6/7/2015 7:55 PM Props Basketball 5087 T.Thompson points over 10½* -115 vs T.Thompson points under 10½
6/7/2015 7:55 PM Props Basketball 5099 T.Mozgov points over 9½* -150 vs T.Mozgov points under 9½
*Well, there's a few ways of looking at it: a) with Kyrie out, LeBron decides to take all the shots himself... again, b) with Kyrie out, the Warriors double down on LeBron, and LeBron decides to take all the shots himself... again, or c) LeBron realizes the only shot the Cavaliers have is to get the rest of the team involved. Mind you, I'm not prepared to discount options 'a' or 'b', but someone's going to have to pick up the slack on offense, and odds are it's split between JR and Thompson (JR could end up with at least 10 more shots, while no chance Thompson only takes 4 again). As for Mozgov, that one's a no brainer at that number.
Doubt I hit all three but, to paraphrase the fat man, two out of three wouldn't be bad...

6/9/2015 8:55 PM Props Basketball 4521 T.Mozgov points over 11½* -135 vs T.Mozgov points under 11½
*Expecting the Splash Brothers to touch down (finally), and Warriors still have no answer for Mozgov inside...
