Lebron's Greatness AND a Cleveland Championship Thread

twinkie13

In transit, arriving late.
OK so we have the archived one(thread). NOT good enough. This is absurd, what LBJ has done. Think about this. I am almost glad K Love is hurt, because that would be excuses. This will be insane. Wherever he goes, 'ships follow.

Did CLE make the playoffs last year? Kyrie is nice, but Bron leaves or comes in CLE and they either suck or are in the ECF or the BIG ONE.

SO WHEN CLE WINS it all......what is the legacy?:shake:

I honestly don't think that LeBron is great. I think he is their weakest link and if Cleveland won't win the title, it will because of him.
If you replace him with Bryant (three seasons ago), Curry, Durant, Davis and many others, Cleveland are 99% champions.
Bron tries to prove he is the boss all the time, minimizes Blatt, that had much much better series than Bron and just hurts his team a lot.
If Cleveland win the title, it will despite LeBron, not because of him...

Agree with his greatness...However .....

If they dont trade for Mosgov and then Shumpert (JR smith was a throw in - NY would not make the deal unless the cavs took on his contract) we would not be having this conversation......

You've picked 6 games to somehow prove your insanely ridiculous point about LeBron to be true? He's the best player in the league, has been for years, and will be pretty much until he retires. Anyone calling LeBron not great is simply either a hater or has no idea how basketball is actually played.

Dude got shut down by his father Jimmy Butler. The team has played better without him on the court these playoffs.

His legacy is still 3 finals losses in which one he cramped and the other he quit. And that he bailed and came running back to his "home" that he repeatedly said is not his "home". He's making his final tour as the world's best player as Anthony Davis is ready to blaze past him. And he's only had it for a few years since Duncan and Kobe's decline.

His legacy is tarnished by the fact that his supporters compare him to MJ and anointed him a King. Not the way to establish a legacy. He was a King, and not one for those loyal supporters, but for those Heat fans and that Frankenstein team.

Most of your posts simply hate on everyone anyway (except for teams you root for), so this isn't surprising at all.

What at does other people anointing him the King have anything to do with LeBron? His legacy is tarnished because the sports media has changed to where everyone and/or everything has to immediately be the best ever so they can get viewers? Yeah, that makes sense.

10.7% from behind the arc!

If we remove Game 5, LeBron made 47 from 129 shots from the field (36.4%), 27 turnovers (5.4 turnovers per game) vs. 47 assists (9.4 per game).
He lost Game 4 and needed Blatt to win it, he was the true MVP of Game 4, not even in doubt. If LeBron wouldn't have played in Game 4, they would have won much easier.
He hurts the team by undermining coach Blatt. Have any other truly great player needed to seek fame and position himself as a great player, by undermining his coach? The answer is no.
He was horrible in Game 4 and that's why he trashed Blatt.
1) If someone else would have won the game and not him, everyone would have talked about how LeBron almost cost his team a game - that's why he demanded the ball.
2) By throwing the coach under the bus, he knew that would have been the talk and not his horrible game.

He is the best player in the league, no doubt, but he hurts his team badly with the BS he is saying and him trying to correct his image the next few days, are just a mask.
I have zero respect for him as a person and as a team mate. Would take any dictator Bryant/ Jordan style, not to mention nice guys like Durant/ Davis/ Curry and so on.

Bailed?? give me a fucking break... your not even from Cleveland and your whining..
He was a free agent and had a choice.. in your life/work you get to choose what you want to do, where you might want to do it... please please please please STOP all the horseshit about a basketball player or any sports figure "bailing" ... it is a job he like anyone else (not under contract) gets to choose where he wants to play.......

His legacy is only beginning..... tarnished is a word used for haters who don't look at the big picture.....

Frankenstein team?? ..... not many championships arent and since you pointed out Kobe,,, how about the free agents that signed in LA that helped him win a championship? ... All of his are Frankenstein teams..... Shaq, Gasol... ..

Davis has a lot of talent and I am a big fan,, but he is 2/3 years from being anywhere close to what Lebron is...

Ask Larry Bird...

Legacy only beginning?
He is 30 with so many games and so many hits...
If he will be the best player 4-5 years from now, I would have mad respect for him.

Jordan undermined Doug Collins to the point of throwing a playoff game.

Magic undermined Paul Westhead out of his job.

But not (as far as I know) to emphasize their greatness, but because they didn't like each other and wanted to get them fired and it wasn't after a playoff win.

Look, you can disagree with me, that's the point of the forum, but that's my opinion.
I hate players cutting under their coaches. Just hate it. In Europe, coaches are gods in most cases and that's the right way to play the game imho.
I also have huge respect for Blatt and the way he coached in the playoffs so far. He brought Love back to life against Boston, before season ending injury and closed down Thomas. He outcoached Tibs next, not by a nose, but by a mile. He doesn't deserve to be thrown under the bus by his star player and I will never respect such players, even if I have big respect for their game - but again, I think he had a terrible series against the Bulls in my opinion, aside from Game 5, where he gave god like game.

Are we talking about LeBron's comments about changing the play before his game winning shot? I would disagree that he was undermining his coach by telling everyone what happened in the huddle. It seemed like he was saying it more to emphasize that he wanted the ball in his hands to win the game, not to take any shots at Blatt. The media has been all over the whole LeBron hates Blatt thing since the beginning of the season....90% of what you hear in the media is complete garbage, just a bunch of non-athletes trying to put some BS spin on things so they can get views/reads/mentions/etc.

Davis will never be at Lebron's level.

Usually see sports eye to eye with Inspekdah but I agree with Lareux on this. If we are looking at his career it is very accomplished and not tarnished. No, he will never be as good as the pimple on MJ's nutsack let alone the whole player but that is an impossible comparison. There can only be one greatest basketball player of all time ... being top twenty like LeBron is still an accomplished career.

My post was a little bit over the top. He's obviously the best but I do think the world or AD's potential at a premium position in the league.

LJ certainly one of the best all time.

steed reincarnated as twink!

he's doing work, 5 straight ECF's but the GOAT and LeBron comparisons need to stop, I see it over ESPN instagram and their affiliates daily shits getting old trying to compare him to MJ...MJ is MJ is MJ and Bro is Bron is Bron give it a rest
