FANDUEL/DRAFTKINGS week 2 discussion.

haven't really looked too deep into the matchups yet, but can probably get good value on Stevie Johnson@Cin and James Jones on the depleted Hawks secondary
Lamar Miller and Flaaco might put up good numbers in Week 2

I think FD and DK have bots playing on there. Everytime I go against someone they have a monster week.

I don't even get close. lol

some people do DFS for a living. in fact i know of a few high stakes online poker players who have quit poker all together to to DFS full time

Cole Beasley could have some solid Flex value. He got some solid looks in week 1. His targets should take a solid spike with Dez going down. As long as he can work on his fundamentals he will likely be a steal in fantasy gambling.

I played in the 100k contest for $1 in week 1 to get a feel for it. Currently in 40k place but have 3 players tonight which should push me up into the top 20k to hopefully double my money, which can be counted as a win I guess. Adrian Peterson, Anquan Boldin, and Reggie Bush.

I think I will load up on the Cowboys in week 2. The offense looked sloppy throughout the game with their flashes of greatness. I think they will work on the kinks and attempt to send a message to the NFC East while they play the Eagles.

Tony Romo, Witten or Escobar at TE, and Beasley in the flex.

i found that the best games for me to play are the 50/50's
i seem to double my money more often than not.

Tried a light 50/50 for tonight. $25.

S. Bradford
A. Peterson
D. Murray
J. Matthews
A. Boldin
J. Wright
k. Rudolph
C. Hyde
Eagles

you know what we should do guys?

Go position by position.

Let's discuss who are the best QB's this week, then WR and RB etc.

Let's beat these bots.

Put $50 in draftkings Saturday
Account has $55 now lol
Got manhandled in NCAA
But cashed 2-3 in NFL
Played the $20 2 million maker and finished in like 59,000 and got $30
That shit is fun
U have a guy who breaks a 40 yd gain and u move up like 20,000 spots

Doesn't it defeat the purpose if everyone shares information with each other for DFS? Aren't you technically playing against each other? Just trying to get an understanding

you can play multiple different ways.... head to head, so it is just 2 people, 50/50, where whatever the group size is you just need to land in the top 50 half to double up (50 out of 100, 250 out of 500, etc.) or even big tournaments with 50k people and the prizes scale down like in poker tounaments where only maybe the top 10k people get money. Im sure sharing info betweeen 20 of us (if that) wont hurt anybody

No im not just referring to this thread... im talking about the countless websites offering their analysis on DFS... its similar to contrarian betting i guess

Well technically we are going against one another in the larger monumental contests, but those are mainly for fun. As far as the 50/50 tournaments there are multiple contests with thousands of people.

In theory, even if 50 of us shared opinions and inadvertently joined the same 50/50 contest of 1k entries. There are at least 200 slots to double your entry fee. So this discussion cannot hurt any of our chances.

Let's be honest here, the odds of any CTG member winning one of the million dollar contests are astronomical as it is.

I'm 2 for 2 on my lineups. Made a $2 on the 100k contest that cost $1 and doubled up on my MNF contest.

Will be hitting the 50/50s for CFB and NFL this weekend.

One factor I like to take into account is how the defense tends to do against the specific skill position.

Through week 1 on the 2015 regular season the 8 worst passing defenses in regards to passing yards given up are:

Detroit Lions (388 passing yards and 2 passing TDs from Phillip Rivers in San Diego)- They play at Minnesota, but I wouldn't start Bridgewater until he can prove himself.

New York Giants (356 passing yards and 3 TDs by Tony Romo in Dallas)- They play at home against Matt Ryan. Will have to see the price tag for Matt Ryan, but this is a solid choice for me. Ryan has a deadly weapon in Julio Jones and the Giants defense had several breaks in their week 1 game and still lost.

Arizona Cardinals (355 passing yards, 1 TD by Drew Brees in Arizona)- They play turnover machine Jay "I couldn't care less" Cutler in Chicago. Pass.

Atlanta Falcons (336 yards, 1 TD by Sam Bradford in Atlanta)- They play in New York against the Giants, the Giants offense is in shambles. Pass.

New England Patriots (351 yards, 1TD by Ben Roethlisberger in New England)- They play Tyrod Taylor in Buffalo, Taylor is not really on my fantasy radar until I see more production. Pass.

New Orleans Saints (307 yards, 3 TDs by Carson Palmer in Arizona)- They play at home against Winston and the Bucs. I am not touching Winston. Pass.

Kansas City Chiefs (236 yards, 1 TD in Houston by Brian Hoyer)- They play at home against Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning is still Peyton Manning. Would have to be a low price tag though. Something like a thrift store price.

Philedalphia Eagles ( 298 yards, 2 TDs in Atlanta by Matt Ryan)- They play Americas team in Philly. Romo started to get the wheels turning in the 2 half while leading his team to a 4th quarter comeback after multiple miscues in the first half. I think the final drives gives this team confidence and Romo comes out guns blazing. This will likely be my QB as Romo is a gunslinger going against a questionable Eagles defense. This analysis is coming from a Cowboys fan, so take it with a grain of salt.

From this aspect of capping my favorite QBs are Matt Ryan, Peyton Manning, and Tony Romo. I will continue to give Manning the benefit of the doubt unless he struggles in week 2 as well. Then he will fall into the middle tier QBs in my opinion.

As for QB's I am eyeing Bradford to have a big game. Also Jordan Matthews as well.

Another QB who might be solid is Tannehill. All depends on the price.

I would start with looking at stacks of the highest totals on the board this week. Which happens to be NYG/ATL, and Dal/Phil.

Key to winning seems to be to find the two or three unsung players that will at least find the end zone and allow you to afford the studs that you know will produce. Look at the winner of the free $100k game last week:

General strategy ideas

1) Save $ at QB. I don't think the falloff is as great there as in the other positions
2) Try to find 1 cheap RB and 1 cheap WR with high TD and touch potential
3) Save $ at Def. Again the spread in production there is not as great as the WR/RB, and you can usually find a favorable matchup on the cheap
4) With the savings at 4 spots, load up with studs elsewhere

This may sound ridiculous but if McCown is out then Manziel at just $5,200 becomes a value play against Tennessee. Foles against the Skins at $5,500 also is enticing.

Here is my first lineup I put together this week.

I may swap out Palmer for someone else. I think Peterson bounces back huge after that Monday night fiasco and will be low owned because of his price and what the public saw on Monday night. Adams will be low owned, because he fucked everyone last week. Brown, and Woodhead are PPR monsters, and Woodhead got every goaline touch last week, and he's cheap AF. Williams production should jump because of the Dez injury. Kelce, is a mini gronk.

I think for the pricing Woodhead will likely be highly owned, and some of the pro's will go back to the well with Adams. Kelce likely gets highly owned as well because of his price.

I entered that millionaire maker last week for $20 and won $35 so at least I got my money back. Lost a 50/50 game to some guy. Here's a lineup I got this week.

Hey Gabe, it looks like Tre Mason is back for the Rams this week.

I've been following along and tried to incorporate some of footballguys thoughts regarding using Vegas opening lines, stacking, that sort of thing. I strayed from the gamescript a bit but have a couple teams in the works on DraftKings.

QB Palmer
RB Abdullah
RB Ingram
WR A. Brown
WR Julio Jones
WR T. Williams
TE Eifert
Flex Sproles
Def Ravesns

Here's the other. Reed might be hurt so might be swapping him out.

QB Dalton
RB Forsett
RB Sproles
WR A. Brown
WR J. Jones
WR T. Williams
TE Reed
Flex Ingram
DST Ravens

I should take him out then. See why I need you guys.
Keep an eye on McCoy, too. He left practice today with a hamstring issue that sidelined him in the preseason. Karlos Williams might make a nice swap there. (His backup)

Copied this team but went with panthers d. Let's cash.

Think I have a solid lineup & have enough left for any D. Probably stick with my initial lean & take Balti.

I have recently discovered Fantasy Radio channel 87 on SiriusXM. Those guys are fucking hardcore & give some great advice. I'm new to the DFS world but their insight to strategies & individual players is unreal.
