FANDUEL/DRAFTKINGS week 2 discussion.

Looks good gabe. I'm not high on Gordon though. I think he's going to be one of those 3 yards a carry guy. At first I didn't like Moncrief either but just saw he had 11 targets last week so that's a positive.

Curious as to what you guys think of my strategies? I am brand new to this finally gave in and loaded up both Draft Kings and Fan Duel. Seems like neither site is overly user friendly to track where you are and how you are doing.

Here are my two line ups at Draft Kings.

Sankey seems risky.

Like your ROMO team best. I am 2-20 lifetime so don't trust my opinion LOL.

Rb - Jeremy Hill

Team is solid but Charles Johnson and Landry are a bit shaky IMO. Both could score less than 5.

Decided to try Foles and let JFF prove himself this week.

QB Foles
RB Ingram (should see the rock assuming NO controls this one)
RB C. Johnson (Ellington is out, hoping Arians sticks with the vet)
WR A. Brown
WR Garcon (no D Jax)
WR J. Matthews
TE Cameron
Flex B. Marshall (Jets should be slinging it in this one)
DST Dolphins

Cole Beasley could have some solid Flex value. He got some solid looks in week 1. His targets should take a solid spike with Dez going down. As long as he can work on his fundamentals he will likely be a steal in fantasy gambling.

i picked him up in real fantasy everywhere i could, completely agree with this. Problem with NFL fantasy is week-to-week seems almost random to me

i get that y'all are trying to learn how to do this and i would would probably do the same, but if you were trying to make actual money at this how much would you have to play for per game? And isn't there a huge rake?

That was my main one, but I did this also and may like it more... banking on cj2k to be the guy and not david johnson this week... oh well

I feel this team is my best. Any thoughts?

My concern with Moncrief is possible coverage by Revis.

Re: Gordon, I think I saw a stat where Woodhead was in on 14 of 15 snaps in the red zone, in part because of a Gordon fumble earlier.

I'm a little over invested in Famous Jameis today. They "should" be playing from behind - combine that with ASJ and Evans coming back today he be sneaky. He sucked ass last week and still had 3x value

I just started playing on Draft Kings this year & I like it way better than a year long league. There's a chance to win $$ each time you enter a team. Year long you could completely kick ass & lose in the playoffs to someone who had absolute pure luck & you don't win shit. Everyone has the same chance at the beginning of each set of games, no getting stuck with duds all season long.

I've gone big so far, playing in the $1 leagues while getting my feet wet. The one I'm in now has 115,000 entries & they payout a total of $100,000 so that one is about a 13% rake. Not much difference than the average juice on a bet. 6K goes to first, 4K to second all the way down to $2 for places 10,916 through 23,045.

I've been following along and tried to incorporate some of footballguys thoughts regarding using Vegas opening lines, stacking, that sort of thing. I strayed from the gamescript a bit but have a couple teams in the works on DraftKings.

QB Palmer
RB Abdullah
RB Ingram
WR A. Brown
WR Julio Jones
WR T. Williams
TE Eifert
Flex Sproles
Def Ravesns

This team did well

Saw a lot of shitty teams were posted this week, onto the next week. I entered in about 5 $5 leagues at both draft kings and Fan Duel. Also entered in $20 10 million dollar tourney, which was my best team. I was 8 points out of the money with a late flacco INT and an overturned TD to Flacco and Smith would have been huge for me. Marshawn let me down as well. Kind of dig it.

My one complaint is I couldn't find an easy way to monitor all my teams, or all my players. No real live stats that show you how they got their points and where they got them. Pretty fun though. I definitely saw how huge this has become when I saw one player with 72 entries into the $20 10 million dollar tournament. Ballsy risk with that many people entered and you spend $1440 going for 2 million, and you could easily get shut out.

looks like I will likely go 4-5 or 3-6 in the 9 entries I have. There is at least improvement, lol.

:shake:

I won all mine, too, at least the ones I invested my own money in. Probably won't be the norm.
