Taken at the half, with Montreal down 16-10. Aiming for a small middle.
 
Now that Winnipeg won, I have Sask +7 in the back half of a teaser. So I'm going for a middle with this bet. I think Calgary prevails in a close one at home off the bye.

last night was a really difficult game to win. Close all game and the better team kept getting more players hurt.

Most of the data also lost on the dog. Well I don’t look at favorite trends so maybe I’m not being fair or balanced. Even still from my best winning seasons the dogs rule and this season is congruent with that pattern.

I pushed. So on to the next.
 
Money has come in on Ottawa and I don't see any particular reason for it but its moved EDM to 2.5 so I am taking some ML...

The total in Hamilton will likely be the highest of the season and no matter where they put it, the public will bet it up like crazy. We could see the first 60 since probably 2018 or so.

But I make the game 54.5 and I will likely be taking it under if it gets to that kind of rarefied air. Hamilton's defense has been steadily improving as the season wears on but more importantly, if you look at Toronto's home/road scoring, their games are averaging 71.7 points at home but only 50.6 on the road. A full 3 TDs less, 2 of those from less offensive output. Arbuckle and co are just not moving the ball the same way when away from their digs and a sold-out Hamilton is not the easiest place to correct that. This looks like a 32-23 kind of game to me.

Are the bookies on glue? This number is wrong wrong wrong. I make it 47.5 and it should at least be under 50.

Labour day games are tough. The home team has such an advantage and it baked into the line.

I think that total might be my only bet this week unless the public bets up the hamilton game to near 60...then I'll take that under as well.

I think this is going up to 60 eventually and when it does, I will buy back for the middle.

This number has gotten out of control. Calgary may blow them out but this is a rivalry game and 3 straight wins has the Elks believing. Given the fact that I think this game will have <50 points, I think the Elkskimos have a fair chance of keeping it within this number.

Ridiculous overreaction to one score from the Riders. This game has been extremely close and the Bombers will be right in it.
 
After stubbornly sitting at 56.5 all week, money is finally starting to come in on the over in Hamilton. I'll be watching to buy back on the under at some point.

Interesting...Pinnacle is at 57.5 now and leaning toward 58. I think once the public gets involved tomorrow, this number will continue to go up.

One way or another I will be taking the under. I def like it better than the over. I only took the over because I thought I was going to be able to score a nice middle.

Hamilton getting back 2 starting DBs this week too, CB Jamal Peters and S Stavros Katsantonis. I think this looks like a 27-24 type of affair.

This one didn't rise like I expected so my clever tactic of aiming for a middle isn't likely to pay off. Taking the under now to likely juice out with a tiny chance of a middle.

Very quick buy back down to 6.5 again. I was lucky to get the 7 when it popped.

4-3 on the week and picked up just over a unit. Slowly getting back to break even. Once again it could've been a huge week if not for the Cats ridiculous defensive collapse at the end. Just can't seem to find that breakout week this season.

NFL and NCAA are starting but we here at the CFL syndicate know where our bread is buttered...

This is a horrible spot for the ti-cats and if Montreal had any sort of QB, they would be the play. But unfortunately they are still starting 4th string QB James Morgan who has put up 18 & 13 points in his 2 games vs BC & WPG. His QB rating is in the 60s. Now maybe with a bye week and some time to tweak the offence to his skill set, and maybe with a couple of really good receivers returning this week he can show a little better but I think they struggle to put up 23. Lack of receivers was not his problem. Meanwhile, Hamilton's high-flying offence will be held in check by a top-3 defence who gets back several injured players including Duquoy and Mustafah Johnson who has been out most of the year but is a one-man wrecking crew when healthy. I'm seeing a 24-20 kind of game here.

Good luck this week. I’m taking a chance some of the scoring slows in a high total game.
 
Now that some books are leaving grey cup futures up all year now, I am keeping an eye out for mis-pricings and I think I have one here.

0.5* Calgary to win Grey Cup +300

This was at Pinny and when they have a better number than anyone else I stop to see if I've missed anything but I don't think so. In fact, they had Hamilton a bigger fav to win it all than Calgary which makes no sense whatsoever. Its time to face it that the Stamps are the #1 team. Their defence is as stifling as Winnipeg's was in their recent dynasty, giving up 19ppg and the offence is capable enough to put away games. I thought Sask was #1 but Calgary has beaten the green riders twice and it wasn't close either time. They have the tie breaker vs both sask and wpg, meaning they're very likely to finish first and get the bye and a home game to advance to the cup. It seems to be theirs to lose. Only thing that could derail this is their lack of a capable backup is VAj should get hurt. I'll take that chance. This could finally be his year.
