And perfect for that personnel. You need to maintain 100% health on that elite line, and work with one of the more immobile passers in the league. It’s a big drop off to plug someone else in as play caller. And in a year Gibbs is going to reset the market for RBs. Should get 25+

Half the line was injured at parts of the year. Lions will be fine. Tons of play makers everywhere.
 
I would try to be brief but since this is the end of the line for me with this franchise I will just let it all out.

The fact that this ownership only hires defensive coaches is bad enough but at least with Saleh and Bowles before that it was guys that were great coordinators. Glenn doesn't even have that going for him not only that but I see him as a bottom five coordinator in the league. The Lions are big winners in that they will definitely upgrade their staff losing this guy who has nothing going for him.

I am not sure who to hate more Woody the dumbass or Parcells who has now sold this franchise on Bowles and now Glenn. The same Parcells who told Peyton to go back to school instead of drafting him continues to fuck this franchise to this day.

Woody is too cheap to follow what Kraft did and blow Glenn out after one season but it will be obvious that its going to need to be done. Oh but Glenn was a former Jet its going to be different this time blah blah blah. My response to that is playing for the Jets is a disqualifier not a reason to be hired. Fans and former players celebrating this like this guy is some immortal franchise icon all have an agenda and I don't need to spell it out.

A team that hasn't had a good offense this century ignoring that side of the ball once again shows how clueless this ownership is. I've been bracing for this for months knowing it was going to happen so I am more relieved that I can finally give up on this franchise until one of two things happens; Woody sells or Glenn is fired and replaced by someone I deem acceptable. Until then I will not even watch them play even when they are the only game being played.

My advice to all of you guys is to bet the under season wins total if it is anything above 6. My prediction for Glenn is fired after two seasons with a record of 7-27 only to be replaced by the next defensive coordinator of the moment.

My rant is over for now good luck to all of you fans of real franchises as I am now on an island with no NFL team rooting interests. I said this would be the final straw and I will keep my word and be out.

Saleh should have been fired after last season at the latest and since they wanted Vrabel so bad they could have had him then.

I was rooting for the Lions this year hoping they'd win every playoff game 50-45 to get the victory while embarrassing Glenn but I can't be a fan of another team. I will just gracefully bow out and only watch the games I have bets on. As for Arch the Jets insulted the family by not committing to draft Peyton and that is surely not forgotten.
 
Some possible exciting news for Lions fans that Ben Johnson could be hiring one of the great offensive minds as his OC: none other than the great Adam Gase who I guess was his mentor. I think Johnson may have take on the Gase personality with the ability to call plays which Gase never had.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fucking pumped for BRYCE Purdy to get paid as he is literally an ISU dude to the bone

But you ain't that good, and winning the division isn't close to what the Cards have in mind next season. That would be like the ribbon you hate to put on participants
 
I’d be shocked if the Cards could beat the 9ers next season. Despite on the road probably being the 9ers top 3 toughest games on the schedule. But it could happen. Doubtful in Levi Southeast, though.

He’s an elite DC and I think Jax is giving him the benefit of having to coach in a circus in NY. His game planning offensively was so horrible though. I’ve never seen such poor rushing concepts.

I’d love me some Pete Carroll, though. He’s probably my choice over Bob.
 
Just look at the list of coaches the Jets interviewed; they were fucked by hiring any of them. The list of GM candidates was relatively impressive yet none of the good names are getting it either. I think there is a good chance that Woody gets embarrassed into selling after the disaster that Glenn is going to be.

I guess that was more him than Hackett? Seemed like Davante (I had him on fantasy) and rest of Jets O took off soon after Saleh left? Maybe because they switched play-callers to that former Titan o-line guy? Help @Brewers888

Pete Carroll isn't coming back to be a coordinator at his age.
 
The combo of Saleh and Press Taylor is literally incredible. I like to think I‘m a rational person and not a worrying pessimist, but I literally don’t see that duo scoring ten points lol

The offense sucked with Lafleur as well. Its getting overlooked because of how much worse Ulbrich was as a head coach but Saleh was undeniably awful. Be prepared for tons of penalties, wasted timeouts and many complete no shows.

Saleh won't keep Press Taylor. I would expect him to bring in Mike Lafleur who Jets fans fawn over now after seeing Hackett but he wasn't good either. Maybe getting away from the Jets is all that Saleh needs to be successful but I have my doubts.
 
Is Doug Pederson worth hiring as an OC? Maybe @VirginiaCavs has the answers. No he is not under consideration by the Jets but he seems like the type I'd look to hire if I was a defensive coach.
 
Supposedly Rodgers is wanted by Glenn but if I were Rodgers I would either retire or get the hell out of New York and play for a good team. As big of a fan of Rodgers as I am its a bad idea for him and the team. He will win too many games and screw up the tank that this team needs to land the next QB sure to be ruined by yet another defensive head coach.

Jax‘s offense was good even before Brian Thomas came, in his first year when we made the playoffs. Doug hadn‘t handed over the baton to Press Taylor. But last year the O sucked. Player development has proven to be awful. The team doesn‘t look prepared, and Doug chooses to blame execution instead of taking accountability. God knows why there were so many drops and softness but that was a thing even in the best part of his tenure in his first year. Maybe Doug just checked out and some point and needs new scenery. He obviously had some great success in Philly

Yeah I was wondering why the offense wasn't good but Pederson was once a good coordinator. He's a guy that Glenn should bring in but won't. Brian Thomas is one hell of a player even if former Jets GM Joe Douglas had him rated below the incomparable Malachi Corley.

When I heard this today I really just said fuck it and I'm positing the most random shit anywhere I can because after the Bears asked for permission to interview McCarthy....just so the Cowboys could fire him and hire BS (hehe) I'm of the thought the world is going to implode in the very near future
