No. Cleveland is the team to beat. Golden State won't make it back to the Finals, they no chance of having a path that easy again. They are still a team that can be destroyed down low and several teams on the West are capable of doing it.

Will take the Cavs, anybody else can have any team they want and I'll give 2-1 on who wins it all.

A little more balance this year..
On paper (without injuries) Cleveland ,Chicago, Miami and Atlanta look good ( originally had thought hawks were going to lose too many players).. meaning West isnt so dominant.

Diaw was solid, 12 and 6 in the series. Belinelli was great but of course he is gone. The problem was Splitter and Parker were too hurt to contribute; even if they did face the Warriors in the WCFs they wouldn't have beaten them. They just picked up Ray McCallum to replace Cory Joseph, not as good as Cojo but a decent pickup considering the restraints the Spurs have cap wise (not sure why they refuse to go over the cap).

Thought the Spurs should have gone after Wayne Ellington to replace Belinelli but he signed w/ the Nets for 1 year $1.5 million.

Also think that if the expect any contribution from Kyle Anderson they are crazy...he is a bust. Should have drafted that guy the Hawks just brought over Walter Tavares.

There is a degree of fortune that plays a part in every championship winning team across all codes.

Really? The starting PG was hurt/out for every opponent the Warriors faced in the playoffs. You don't think that's a significant reason they won? It made curry's life a heck of a lot easier. Beverley would've changed quite a bit. Of course injuries are part of the game but the Warriors were more fortunate than any championship team I can remember.

Some people forget the Warriors had the best regular season record. They had the best point differential too. Injuries or not you can't just say they would've lost. They proved it in the tough West they were the best team. Offense, defense, bench, coaching, youth.... this team is stacked and gonna be a force to be wreckon with for awhile.

I don't put too much value on this (underline) as there are so many situations that happen during the year, however I won't discount it either. I go more by the eye test and when it mattered your Warriors played the right way, made the right adjustments and played as a team. They are built to be competitive for the next few years but so are a few others.

On a side note and I said many times this past year, the league as a whole is getting fun to watch again. There should be a lot more games that are in the 110- 100 range. (the 80's style, minus opposing players hanging out together))

Just making sure....The reason there is a time period in between July 1st and today is to allow for teams to make other moves and for teams to be able to meet with all the FAs?

The reason for the moratorium is the prohibition on tampering. Teams can't negotiate with a player while he's under contract to another team. Without the moratorium, players would be signing contracts at 12:01 a.m. (a minute after their contracts expired) on the first day of free agency, and it would be obvious that "tampering" had occurred. The NBA thinks that would make a mockery of the tampering rule in particular and the NBA's authority in general.

So this is what we get. A different mockery.

Proko forced King into a win now mentality but IMO the moves still fall on him.... i dont think proko knows that much regarding the nba talent and King should know the value better

Prokorhov just saw a great business opportunity. He's going to make a lot of money when it's all said and done and he did well to make the nets brand worth a lot more.... but on the basketball front, management has been pretty awful and its a bunch of buy high, sell low type of of stuff

Real Madrid he just destroyed and they were trying to sign him...not surprising as they a perimeter strong team. Barca on the other hand had a nice lineup of big men and he destroyed them as well. Interesting that he played for a team that shares the same arena as Partizan Belgrade (must be an intense rivalry), the team that has the center the Spurs just drafted in the first round and he played quite well vs them and is better than Nikola Milutinov as this point in time. If he can just provide some strong rebounding for the second team that will be a boost; I think he is going to be able to provide a productive 10-12 minutes a night.

That's misleading... Real and Barca don't see Red Star as a threat and he was their main (and only) star. It's different role than the one he will be playing in Spurs obviously.
He is very poor defender for his size, but pretty decent player on offense, both shooting the ball and finding open teammates.
