Hawks are getting healthy, blues going the complete opposite direction. Backes took a puck to the ankle a couple nights ago and not a lot has been said about it. He's been out since. I'd be surprised if Oshie is healthy enough after the elbow to the head. Ryan Miller is a head case right now. He doesn't look comfortable in the net. The Blues offense over the last 10 games has been poor. Bad puck movement, can't put the puck on net. I don't think there is a "switch" they could turn on even if healthy. Not sure what the line will be for Hawks to win series, but will be on it. Don't think this goes past 5 games.

I will have a sizeable bet on Chicago to win the series....though I'll be there for game 1 or game 2 rooting for the Note. No momentum.....im sure they'll have Backes and Oshie back (id guess) but I dont think its enough. Blues won the season series but Chicago kicked their ass of late. I'd be shocked if STL can move on. Should be fun.

Best guess from left field Chicago -140/-150? Hoping Blues home ice advantage draws some line respect. Just saw the schedule.....Thursday/Saturday at Scottrade....i'll be at game 1.

Boston-Detroit - Wings won season series but Boston is Boston, best in the league at 5 on 5, better on the PP (plus Detroit is near the bottom of the league in PP's allowed), better SOG differential, better shooting % differential, and their D contribute much more on offense. Boston in 6.

Tampa-Montreal - Tampa is a better on O, Montreal is better in the net, Tampa is better 5 on 5, Montreal will have a better time on the PP with Tampa's subpar PK. Tampa should have the better of the zone time and they just seem to have the measure of the Habs this year. Tampa in 7.

Pittsburgh-Columbus - Pens went 5-0 vs Columbus, should dominate on special teams. 5 on 5 will be surprisingly close. Star power and experience lean hard to the Pens. Pittsburgh in 5.

NY Rangers-Philadelphia - Not much separating these teams. Rangers with the better D, Phlly with the better O. In the end I think Lundquist vs. Mason is the deciding factor. Rangers in 7.

Anaheim-Dallas - Stars played the Ducks tough this year, but Anaheim should have the better of it 5 on 5, so if they at least hold Dalllas even on the PP it will eventually sway in their direction. Anaheim in 7.

San Jose-Los Angeles - Kings are built for post-season runs for San Jose this is a bad matchup for their usual fold-up in April style. Sharks bring in the #1 PP opportunity differential, but this is the playoffs now. LA Kings in 6.

Colorado-Minnesota - If Colorado hadn't dominated the Wild during the regular I would've considered this a prime upset spot. Avs get a lot of help from their blueline and eventually it should make a difference. Colorado in 7.

St. Louis-Chicago - These two teams are as close to even as you can be by the numbers: Goal Differential favors St. Louis +57 to +47. Hawks dominate in zone time and SOG differential. St. Louis has arguably the #1 PK. Chicago has slightly better 5 on 5 numbers. But closing on a six game skid is no way to head into the playoffs. As long as Towes and Kane are ready the defending champs should get it done. Chicago in 6.

I have Sharks +1600 and Blues +1400 to win it all.

Probably going to be hedging with Blackhawks to win that series. I think the Sharks get by Kings.

The playoffs are obviously different than the regular season (especially with regards to totals), but figured I'd post this up anyways (also, I included more info for CBJ/PIT and DET/BOS than the others because of the re-alignment)...

I heard a blues guy say he expects Backes to play but if he's not healthy the Hawks are just going to punish him all day, they need him to completely take out the top line if they want to go through
