World Series Chat

The good news is that Verlander has pitched very well with this ump. The bad news is that Verlander has pitched very badly. I am very unsure here. They have to have talked to Verlander about his mistakes and the Astros hitting has been very good last 3 games and the Astros pen has been very solid

i wonder if there is still any belief in washiton. obviously the lines have been crazy high all series, but i still never see how anyone could want their money backing a franchise of loserdom like this. you could give me +1000 on charlie sheen getting clean, but there's no way i'd take it. the guy is just a proven degenerate. even after game 1, 2, 3, 4, or now...how can you put your money on washiton to get a job done? as i mentioned before, if they were up 3-1 in the series, and i was offered even odds to win the series, there's still no way i would want a penny of my money relying on a shit organization like this.

Nats looked lost in their 3 home games, but they get back to Minute Maid Park where they outscored the Astros 17-7

Nats have the pitching advantage in GM6 Strasburg has been lights out this postseason with a 4-0 record & 1.93 ERA while Verlander is 1-3 with a 4.15 ERA

WS home fav are 0-2 this season but are still a smart bet historically (35-23, 60.3%) since ‘05 ...

Tonight’s total opened 7 and is up to 7.5. Sam Holbrook is behind the plate. The over is 227-193 (54%) w/ Holbrook calling balls + strikes since ‘05

Have a small bet on Washington first 5 and a much larger bet on game under 7.5
Verlander is now a loser in the last game which he is very aware of
Verlander will pitch better in this game

Tuck man it's been real betting MLB 2019 alongside you man. Can't wait for next year to do it again. Dude, I found one the other day that immediately made me think of you: Before game 3 in Washington on Friday, home playoff teams on Fridays had been 25-8 +$1,372 the L5 seasons. That's the most-profitable day of the week for home playoff teams during that time. I didn't say anything that day, as I didn't want to jinx the Nats, but alas it wasn't meant to be. Anyway, have a safe and healthy offseason brother.

That's pretty awesome about the mattress man. Is that the Gallery Furniture "save you money" man from the 1980s?

Yup! Guy can run for any office here and will win in a landslide, thats how popular he is. Every race, every person here cant say one bad thing about him.

Past 3 years, hes run the same promo, for both rockets and astros.

spend $3000 or more and if astros or rockets win it all, he will refund you the entire amount.

win/win for him. I do think he lost like $15M during the 1st win, but not sure

agree WSH has the better starter and I will be playing it although i don't feel good about WSH after blowing a 2-0 lead

I’m sorry, when your digging it out it’s hard to stay straight but when you get closer to the bag you straighten your stride out. Which I think he did.

I admit I don't know much about baseball... how was the guy out? He needs to have room to step on the base and the throw was bad. You get rewarded for a bad throw?

Anyone have a link to rules? It's been 15+ years since I've umped and highest level I ever did was Babe Ruth league (high school)

I also mainly umpires ASA slow and modified pitch post high school. It paid more and games where an hour time limit. Kind of funny thinking I did a couple national championship tournaments as like a 19 or 20 year old. I wad so out of my league.

Nah. No lie, I was invited to, but failed to make a US Junior National Team. Two teammates did which was the max per club. I was told I'd have made it otherwise, but who knows.
Then Coral Gables came calling and Butch Davis was sitting in your parents living room

he was midstride to touch the base, which makes it an absolute dogshit call. the rule is written so badly that dumbshits will somehow justify that absolute abortion of a call.

Greinke on 4 2.26 ERA about a 3.30 ERA with the ump
Max .43 with ump 3.38 ERA on 6
Not really sure what his physical condition is
Generally Greinke playing after his team loses plays very well
Hedge very simple simply bet Washington ML
I am actually getting 6-1 on the money not 5-1
Or just gamble the Wednesday factor points to Washington though

Has the road team ever won this many games? And has a 7 game series ever had all road wins?

Well that sucked ass. Sure was fun though in the beginning. Drunk belligerent guy a few seats down from us got arrested and escorted out. I did cash a few bets though, both starters to give up O 4.5 hits and before the top of the 5th, I told my wife to watch out, they're going to score this inning. Sure enough 2 bombs and that sucked some of the energy out of the stadium.

What I find interesting to handicap is the first 5. Both pitchers have70% win rate in the 1st 5, who is going to prevail?
