3-3 last week and three weeks of mediocrity continued...I prefer chalk this week as to prefering doggies last week...a little bigger card as well..
Small writeups here...
Sides:
scUM -2.5 -115 (2 units)...just way too many injuries on the Wisconsin front and defense all together...three more went down vs tOSU and that can't help...they were game for a half but the Buckeye line and running game took over the game it got out of hand..similar things should happen here..beckem will get his but the keys are the UM running game and getting pressure on Donavan...tOSU got to him ten times and he was done by the third quarter...no shot at passing down the field...if UM doesn't get to him, Wisky will score...I actually think quite a few pts will be scored in this game..
ASU -6.5 -110 (3 units)...this one has been locked in all week and is not normally my style at all...don't love road chalk and normally not against good D's...but UCLA's really isn't and even more they don't care...no Olsen, no Cowan...and young kid that moves well but is beyond raw...Erickson is a great coach and defensively will find ways to get his front to hurt this kid...the ASU front 7 is very good....I really hate this spot obviously, off the loss at Oregon, but this ASU offense is too good for UCLA in this spot...Dead man Walking at the helm and injuries all over the field..
Cincy -6 -110 (1 unit).....obvioulsy been looking for a spot to fade this Husky crew and this is a good one..obvioulsy WVU is as well, but I gave up trying to beat em in Storrs and I'm glad I did...this bunch is a solid team, but still overrated...this line is high for a reason IMO...key to this game is does UConn turn it over...the Cincy D is leathal when they turn you over...they either get none or get 6-8...3 or more is the key to the cover...I think they get em..but only a one unit play..
Temple +25 -110 (1 unit)....a meaningless game here at the tail of the Big Ten schedule has letdown written all over it..there's been alot of talk of a bit of a divided locker room at PSU as Morelli had another blowup after the tOSU game when he was replaced in the third quarter...he's warn out his welcome...I'm not sure PSU gets much over 24 here as Temple plays a much better brand of defense than in previous years....good reason to think this stays well w/in the number...
Kentucky -4 -110 (1 unit)....Little and Burton are back this week and that's the key to seeing a UK team offensively like we saw in the beginning of the season...this is still a team w/ only three losses and good season is in front of them..Vandy was putrid last week but that's sorta been their story of the season on the road...still though, this bunch couldn't beat Bama in a spot similar to this earlier this year and I don't think they beat this rich brooks bunch getting healthy for the first time since the S Carolina game...
Wake +9 -110 (1 unit)...Clemson has been rolling along last couple of weeks and here we go and get a great number w/ Jim Grobe's bunch...is pretty much bible at this point that u don't lay it w/ Wake, but when u get more than a TD, esp in league play, the pts are very profitable...Wake is gritty, Clemson blows up...its about that time for this team to come out and lay an egg ala VT game...it's just what Tommy Bowden coached teams do..
Purdue -4 -110 (2 units)...another team besides MSU might use Mike "wannabe" Hart's comments as fuel to make a push for the win they need to become bowl eligible, but not this bunch...they've blown leads two straight weeks and D'Antonio is more worried about UM this week even then getting ready for Purdue...MSU has a bad pass defense that will be exploited...Purdue isn't too bad on the edges and should do okay of at least slowing down that Sparty run attack...Hoyer is a clown in big spots as well...Purdue has lost to the better portion of their big ten schedule but are superior to a Sparty team that is going John L Smithesq in front of our eyes...didn't expect it from D'Antonio, but his press conf showed me its effected him as well...laying it..
