I'm winding down and wanted to ignite discussion for tomorrow. Sorry if I stole your thread posting duty, BetCrimes.
 
Sides - Colorado , Reds , Nats +1.5 , Marlins , Brewers and KC

Basically fade SD vs a LHSP , fade STL in freefall with Harang pitching well lately , fading Houston who has scored 1 run and a few hits past 3 games , so CC was favored and Sheets is a dog to Marquis ? , Royals as KC gets to hit vs a LHSP and Sea just not hitting at all lately best output this trip was 4 runs .......

Totals - tough for me to get a read on without lineups but with Garcia and Hughes dealing those are two overs to look at ......

Garza in 08 has done much better with extended rest . In 2007 he was seemingly the opposite of 2007 in almost every category so he did his best on normal rest . In 2006 he was similiar to his 2008 splits preferring some extra rest .

In 2007 his LONE short rest start seems like BS cause he made a 2 inn relief appearance as his season debut in midseason and three days later made his 1st start which was good . 6 inn 5h 0r 3bb 6ks @ Chicago ...In onse sense not suprising since he did better pitching every 5th day but really dont see any relevance since it was a relief outing and his 1st app of 2007 .

Other then that no history ....Doesnt seem like a good spot but Bay's absence helps and Lowell possibly banged up as well....

So he went 86 pitches last outing and would guess you need 3 or so innings from the pen...:shake:

Francis was awesome in day starts in 2007 but 08 not an all together different story but different results

1-5 in 6 starts but just 2.67 run support and avg allowed only 4.17 (not suprising 5-1 UNDER)

The Rockies said sitting Francis, who is 4-10 with a 5.01 ERA in 24 starts this year, is a precaution and not due to an injury. Francis was on the 15-day disabled June 29-Aug. 6 with left shoulder inflammation.
“We don’t feel there’s a medical issue; it’s precautionary,” Rockies manager Clint Hurdle said. “We feel the volume of work since he’s been back has been so encouraging and so good that we’re in a good place that we don’t want to redline it.”
Francis acknowledged he had experienced soreness in his shoulder in his last two starts.

“There’s some discomfort,” he said. “I don’t think it’s anything serious.”
In 2007, Francis emerged as the staff ace after going 17-9 with a 4.22 ERA and helping the Rockies reach the World Series. Francis was 2-1 with a 4.86 ERA in three postseason starts last year.

I also fell for this garbage game as it looked too good today with the human gas can Hernandez starting. The only explanation that this score is 1-0 going into the eighth inning is the "humdifier" wasn't working the last two days!:seeya:

I'm glad you showed up especially since you credit the extra rest for Livan's 1-0 masterpiece. I just took this off of Bleedcubbieblue's website

Since Marquis hasn't pitched since 9/6 as they skipped his start with the rainouts, how does he do with extra rest? BCB also said the wind was blowing out to RF at 5-10 MPH.

It looks like SN has left, so does anyone know how Marquis does with extra rest? If he has been in a groove, this extra time might get him out of it!

The extra break doesn't seem to be that good when Marquis is coming off a win! This is really a huge game for Milw after CC got beat yesterday as I think if they lose here their chances for the wild card are really slim!

Dodgers are obviously rolling and Billingsley has been solid. Dodgers have advantage in the pen if game happens to be close. STL not hitting the ball at all over L10 and both pitchers Harang and Wellmeyer have been pitching well over recent starts. O'Nora nice under ump working the plate tonight. R.Nolasco has been excellent for Florida and just keeps producing quality starts. Both teams on major under runs and Hohn nice under ump working the plate tonight.

I think you also have to have to ask how far harang has faded this year.. like both SPs, but a 9 total just makes me believe that something funny is going to go down. hopefully its a beatdown by STL for your sake,gl
