I actually wish we had this going earlier. I don't want to miss the moves on some of these totals. I'm already on some UMP bets, but debating others and I'm sure I'll miss the price if I wait anymore... Usually I'll go without coming into this thread, but I've been winning a bit more lately by waiting - if I miss the prices that are there overnight, I just lay off the game. But dammit - I want more bets... lol

i had the CHW-CLE under 8.5 last night and it dropped to 7.5 around gametime today??? It seems like big movers like that always lose in football and basketball, but maybe this sport is a horse of a different color or as the saying goes...

i was pissed about that, at some books the overnight line opened at 8.5 (-120ish) but others at 7.5 (even$$)

mine was the 7.5 @ even but if i had a book with 8.5 (i believe greek was one), i would have pounded the shit out of it

both were winners but i was much more comfortable with the 8.5

i didnt understand why their was such a jump though, i never saw it hit 8 anywhere, just 8.5 <<< 7.5 or 7.5 even >>> 7.5 (-110)

unless i missed it real fast but i didnt see it hit 8, weird movement
 
only thing that really worries me is this is the 3rd time the fish have seen odalis this year

he may be due to get lit up tomorrow....

White Sox score 4,2 runs/game against lefties and CC is dominant in last games. (last 3 games ERA 1,57).
SABATHIA is 14-4 when starting against CHI WHITE SOX with an ERA of 3.61 and a WHIP of 1.242.

-Colorado(-1) +103
I'll go with Colorado again. Jimenez is solid at home with an ERA 2,82 and Padres are not scoring machine. On other side Wolf is struggling lately, in last game he pitched only 3 ininngs against Mariners. Colorado in full squad.

-Mariners +104
Blue Jays are one of the worst teams in MLB right now, when they face lefties. Maybe the worst, I have to check. only 2,9 runs/game against lefties. They are on west coast away from home an McGowan is not the guy for away games. He has ERA 6,19 on the road. He won that game against Mariners at home, but that was his home game and Mariners are playing much better from that time. Washburn has already one win this year against Toronto in Canada. His last three games ERA is 2,33. I'll take home dog.
 
like the fish and the Halos but the Cubs don't hit righty's well, don't play well on the road and Dempster is especially bad away from Wrigley. Like the Giants at + money...
 
does it bother anyone who likes fish (me included) that we are paying -175 for a team that hits .221 off of lefty's this year?
 
Phillies/Braves Over 9 -120Usually don't like minus money on totals, but I like this. Phillies looks really good in offense right now. And Chipper Jones is back for braves.
Eaton is hittable and CAMPILLO is 0-0 when starting against PHILADELPHIA with an ERA of 5.07 and a WHIP of 1.876. He pitched against them this year and he allowed 3 runs 5 hits in 5.
EATON is 3-3 when starting against ATLANTA with an ERA of 5.94 and a WHIP of 1.520.His team's record is 5-4 (+2.0 units) in these starts. The OVER is 6-3. (+2.8 units)
Line is set on 9 runs and I think both teams should score +4 runs.
 
Only one early lean for me (SEA) but I think I'll just pass on today's card. Many bad pitching matchups and we got most of the lines set-up well.

kind of like Bosox to avoid the sweep as Kazmir has been less than great against good teams and Boston crushes LH pitching. Also like over here as long as stays at 8...

Kazmir has not had a POR loss when he's conceded 1 ER or less in a start vs Boston. Conversely, he has not recorded a win when he's conceded 2 ERs or more.

In 18 starts vs Boston, 7 times he's held them to 0 ERs, and 7 times he's conceded 3+ ERs - very rarely has there been any inbetween (and when there has been, TBY has gone 2-2 SU).

sup fellas. I bet Florida UNDER 9 last night; the Fish struggle with lefties and Uggla prolly out again today, and Nolasco has been on fire lately. Getaway Day and DIAZ literally won the UNDER himself on Saturday...

Also on most of the other clubbers as well. Emphasis on STL UNDER, Houston OVER, Arizona UNDER and Colorado OVER...

Good stuff fellas. Really havent had much free time last 2 days and wont probably till bit later on this afternoon. Other then my leans I think the ponly thing I posted ws NYY ML and damn that hurt . Really not what I expected from Joba as I said filthy stuff but still transitioning from stuff to high quality SP. The way your gonna score off Joba is usually his on doing like the walks yesterday to start the inning and Davis can zone out a fastball or earlier starts where he was allowing runs on wild pitches or some BS. Anyway just a terrible game from the Yankees standpoint . I have so many issues with that game. From batting Gradner in the 2nd hole instead of Cabrera. It's so logical its scary . I mean Melky is a SWH seperating 2 LHBs who also happens to be in a slump and could benefit from that position in the lineup. All rookies under Torre would usually start the 9th spot maybe 8th . After that leadoff walk to Betemit how do you not bunt with melky knowing he is in a huge slump ? Especially when you bunted Gardner in the 1st after a leadoff double with your 3-4-5 hitters waiting instead you let Melky swing ? Granted Damon would be LH vs LH but he is hitting well and you have Jeter PH for Gardner . Though I thought initially he should hav elet Joba pitch the 5th I know they were going to be over cautious this start after the 114 pitches and Boston on deck. Just a terrible loss ruined a very sound day . Rivera in tie games lately has stunk and I am not just questioning him coming in just saying notice the pattern Yankees staff (especially when then leadoff hitter continually gets a hit usually XBH) .

So that kinda pisses me off . Joba didnt deliver but the other Yanks relievers did . We battled back after being down 2-0 had a few chances and we pisses it away . Just real suprised that NYY lost there ...real suprised ...

Anyway so far Just Minny ML and some RL.

Blackburn in 4 day starts has quality splits despite some recent struggles will back him as the DET lineup is thin . Also Bonnine has faced 3 weak NL West teams in his career all who were slumping offensively at the time he met . SO not good indications IMO and his day start here and in the mionors though few were very medicore at best ....lean over

Did little vs Moyer . SHutout through 6 innings and touched him up in the 7th inninng with 3 runs.

Did little vs Miller and Hendrickson as well . Miller was hurt badly when the catcher didnt tag a runner out a home instead of stepping on the plate which would have ended the inning instead it continued and Oak scored a few times . Hendrickson was grooving for a while hit a rough patch surrended a few XBHs and runs but generally was solid .

So looking for a 3-2 or even 4-3 game here....

Which is against my first thoughts because Saunders has some trouble so far in day starts and usually pitches better on an extended rest . It just seems like runs should be at premium despite bith teams liking day baseball.

Oak 3.6 all season vs LHP and LAA 3.8 both offenses strugglin with just 2.7 runs past week.

Hopefully LAA woke up in the bottom of the 8th last night and can take the series. Series price was LAA -175 so getting them at -130 with one of their best arms on the bump coming off a disappointing loss in the Freeway Series presents a little value. Or so I hope.

I think so . Was little disappointed to see Jeter rest yesterday . If you remember my post Millwood was allowing RHB's a .358 clip this year and Mendoza was allowing LHB a 400+ clip this year (350ish career) and holding RHB below .190 for his career . So why not use commonsense and rest Jeter vs Mendoza who would appear to be the tougher matchup ?

Nothing of great interest to say . Mendoza a youngster should struggle on the road but really not focusing on his early season starts since he was supposedly battling blisters and then shoulder problems. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he was very good in a couple relief outings since returning . Still the stats vs LHB have to be an issue here ..

Ponson to his credit battled vs the Mets despite looking very shaky early and escaped two bases loaded situations unscathed while getting 5 outs in the process. You have to think he will be battling here all night and looking to give Texas a big F U for whatever the reason is he was released . Bar incident ? bad teammate ? I dont know. Texas a very similiar constructed lineup as NYM with more pop though obviously . Ponson has a good track record @ Yankee Stadium , NYY had done well to ward off losing streaks going 5-1 after 3 straight losses . Yanks 43-18 on Wed since start of 2006 .

Just saw the lineups gonna play it for 2 units no real issues with me . Funny how NOW they hit Gardner 9th and Melky gets a needed day off but man his defense will missed .

Side Note .....

Damn the A's ! I actually feel smart for once playing the Under 1st 5 innings 4 +105 & Oak ML for a unit each then just a 1/2 unit on the game under . So really cant lose much but damn why pull Eveland with a LHB coming up ?? So I would happy to see Oak comeback or push the total...:cheers:AT least Twinkies rolled ...

the other day i had a bunch of great looking bets and lost 3-4 on blown saves. must have been that black cat that crossed my path that night. anyway, ive been trying this system where i do 2 team parlays. o/u and side on the same game. i nailed florida and under parlay earlier and i also had minnesota and over 9 which was a fuckin bust cuz detroit is impotent.
tonight ive got,
Philly +126/ ov 9.5 : this is one of those series where philly just dominates. it seems every guy on philly is a brave killer. eaton's road numbers may appear shitty but he has allowed 3 ER or fewer in 8 of his 9 road starts. eaton hasn't been allowing the long ball, has allowed only 11 hr in his last 17 starts after allowing 11 in 6 starts prior. he induces the double play, 13 on the year, leads the staff and T-6 among NL starters. if it weren't for the terrible run support eaton gets he could potentially have a very lofty record. i guess moyer has been getting all the offensive explosion games. he is 51-29 in his career when he goes 6 innings, (3.19 ERA, 280 ER in 790 innings.) you can bet your ass philly is happy to end inter league play because they had the second fewest wins against the AL, contrasted to their second best record against fellow NL teams. philly wins their division because they dominate atlanta. i'm obviously not expecting eaton to pitch a gem and a few guys on ATL have decent numbers against eaton but i think philly owes it to ol' adam. two pretty damn good offenses going at it but philly has a huge advantage in the pen which could prove decisive. ill gladly fade the public with a dope ass team in philly which has been a profitable bet taking philly as an underdog. (15-12)
