under in sf- Gallarraga is amazing in the day and the Tigers bats are always hungover for a day game following a night game. No way ten runs score.

I might have to play Tampa. Once again this looks like the trap game of the day just like the Braves were the sucker bet that they wanted the public to bite on.

leaning Marlins, but I hate the card all in all.

If Cubs lose they may get swept though with Shields on Thursday vs Gallagher . Have to rememebr what TB home record is IMO and the fact Kaz was 50 cents today so thats a 75 cent swing which sounds reasonable if you go from Dempster tp Sonnastine assuming Zambrano and Kaz are somewhat even.....lean Cubs

Arizona now 2-12 SU vs teams with current winning records this season

I'll post my stats/thoughts for that game later, cogenman. I'm off now for dinner.

Arizona is awful against good teams it seems... has anyone taken advantage of that?

...i'm on the COL-CLE under

Boston @ Philly :

Well these teams kept there offensive sluggishness going on Tuesday to my delight . Philly lost anothe Game 2 and I am quite pissed I talked myself off Boston at the last minute and onto Philly . Kendrick is the under the radar SP who people havent taken notice of . This year 11-3 when he starts including 7-1 away. At home despite his 4-2 mark he deserves better . His only real loss is 2-1 to Oswalt and the other as I explained he led 2-0 vs Tor after 1 inning the rain came and he was pulled losing 6-5 . Kind of odd that all but one home game for Kendrick has been decided by 1 run ( 3 of his wins and 2 of his losses). Basically he has now been in the majors 1 year and last year went 13-7 in 20 starts making him 24-10 in his 34 career starts . Including 12-4 at home and really 12-3 if we discount the start he left after one inning because of rain . He has 4 starts at home on normal rest and won all four by my count one this year vs Col and three last year vs Pitt , Sd and Atlanta (allowing 7 runs in 26.1inn) .

Masterson has done well in his 1st 5 starts but IMO hasnt faced many decent lineups . He did well vs Cincy in his 1st road start but did allow 2 Hrs . He is 3-2 and two of those wins were by 1 run and run support has been minimal at times with 3 starts having FOUR combined Boston runs scored.

Kendrick doesnt have any day starts so far but was 3-1 3.50 ERA in 6 day starts last year . Masterson has also been solid in his 2 starts .

Boston 308 in day games and 14-7 and Philly only 251 and 10-12.

Strong Lean towards Philly @ -120 and lean over because of the day start .

quick glances and readings... like philly, detroit, and oakland tomorrow.. (but don't take this worth much..don't like baseball hehe)

:cheers:Det @ SFG :

Galarraga is 4-1 way and 4-0 in day starts with very good day splits . Zito has lost all 7 home starts with a 6.50 ERA and in 36 innings allowed 31 runs ! Wait though in the day he is 1-4 with a 7.88 ERA and in 24 inninsg allowed 24 runs and FIFTY baserunners (35 hits and 15walks with 9Ks)

Niether SP gets much run support but neither SP has a reliable bullpen. Det 's pen imploded on Monday and SFG followed suit today and actually SF had the bases loaded with 1 out in the b9th.

Det is 40-17 L57 Interleague games .

Really so no reason not to take DET ML here. Again wait for lineups with Zito's day splits and Crawford behind the dish thinking over 9. I mean how could they hang an 8.5 with 2 excellent LHSP ( excellent for Gambler of late and Sanchez at home) ....

SFG is 9-18 in day games and Det is 10-17 but started 0-10 . Also SFG is now 1-7 in IL games and Det 5-3. Det is now 12-5 vs LHP including 5-1 in the past 2 weeks .

SF is 2-7 L9 and Det 9-2 L11.

Strong lean DET ML and lean over 9 runs

confused.. rogers v sanchez is det -115 and gallaraga v zito is det -140. ponderous.

Gallaragga is just as good as Rogers but Sanchez to Zito is a tremendous dropff. Right now Zito is barely a #5 SP and he has to face an AL lineup built on RH All Star bats .......Now of course Rogers has been rolling and has a better reputation the Gambler but price why there isnt much difference if we agree Rogers is worth slightily more . Sanchez is worth at least 50 cents on Zito. IMO:shake:

Good points about Zito nut. I'm actually going to add a play on DET now.

Thanks Money . More to sway our decision -

So more reasons to play Det and over ....:cheers:GL

Other shit to ponder-

Marlins ? We had King Feliz on the hill and while he pitched well Seattle is terrible with MOB . They held on to win 5-1 can they win a series ? Tucker is hard to depend on though....Dickey was terrible last start but know that I think about FLA lineup is a terrible matchup to face a knuckleball pitcher as they are all free swinging hackers ...so undecided

Oliver Perez is showing improvement and Garland jas been largely good for awhile now with some hiccups . Does Jerry get #1 here ? Lean NYM if Nixon plays over Anderson.

HAren vs his old team and of a terrible beatdown well a few beatdowns now . Hard to pass up . Blanton pitched well outside of the 1 inning vs NY and really settled down the 2 innings afterwards . Thinking UNDER .

Cards ML . Looper at home and Bannister struggling of late

Over 8.5 Minny - from 9.5 to 8.5 and the SP matchup is worse

ATL? Reyes throwing well and Texas struggles vs LHSP . Hurley 1sr career home start....

Cubs ML . almost pulled it out Pinella should have tried to bunt the run in IMO but anyway Shields on deck now or never .....

Hard to back Houston after they choked away an easy win today ....

Yanks game is tough clearly they are streaking but Rasner is always a question mark when he steps out there . Have to agree and lean over ......:shake:

1st5 over @ SFG and maybe @ LAA

As SN mentioned, Kendrick is a hidden gem at home… Pitches better home and during the day and has never faced the sox.

Yes, Kendrick is weaker against LHP, but really the only guy doing damage is Drew… and maybe cora and ellsbury as a base running distraction.

I basically am getting a rookie SP who struggles with lefties in one of the hardest places to pitch in the league… against some of the most beastious LHBs… AND I have a good pitcher at home that plays better during the day and the sox have never faced him.. Yeah, he sucks as well against LHB, but who has the LHB bats that do more damage? philli phils.

Boston's day+road game totals - 12, 11, 3, 9, 9, 13, 10 & 9 runs.

Boston 3-5 SU - 2, 4, 0, 3, 3, 9*, 6*, 9* team scores (*Big Papi DNP)

O/U 4-3-1 - games where neither team was shut-out O/U 4-2

Doesn't include Japan game/s.

Warning for Oakland
This season they have scored 6, 4, 0, 3, 0, 3 & 1 run/s off a 10+ run outburst, an avg of just 2.43 (bolded = road games).

Haren is U/O 4-1-1 his last 6 home games

In IL play, AZ has scored (all at home) 4, 2, 4, 1, 3, 3 & 1 run/s.

Hey Betcrimes, at least we had Oakland pegged tonight............:shake:

A day of mlb passed-on winners for myself, but congrats:cheers:

we know the Philly bats are great, but how are they during the day? any stats BC?

Philly in day games that start no later than 1.35pm EST

at home

on the road

Boston is 1-4 SU this season in a road game prior to a home game, averaging just 2.5 runs in the losses (sole SU win vs the Yankees).

Without Youk & BP to boot, that's enough to put me off that Over. They avoided the possibility of a sweep Tuesday, that could well spell their contentment for this road trip (3-2 SU w/Wed to go). Don't want to bank on Philly bringing in Over by themselves again, esp. as Masterton isn't Colon.

Hate to go against a hot team but Cardinals minus 26 cents with additional run line action. Cooperating with the 12-0 win off a loss pattern of Cards in second game of series after a loss. Bannister in his last 5 road games has given up 30 runs in 23 innings going 0-5 . We are talking a road era of 9 and a night era of 7.71. Meanwhile the Cardinals know Greinke on extra rest is coming in the next day vs Anthony who does not necessarily pitch bad but in his last 20 games of 2007 went 4-16.

Trying to carry a four-game win streak into today... Again looking for strange lines; lines that seem to be counterintuitive. Yankees and Rockies are my picks for tonight. I see tonight's game at Coors Field being the same situation as last night's game. The situation may seem similar, but let's see if the outcome is similar. It can be argued that Peavy will receive little to no run support, but Rasner laying a quarter seems like a bet.

looking at/into Over in/with Philly yet again

It could easily happen but I'd stay away from the over. Utley and Man-Ram aren't hitting well and this Masterson kid is pretty good. Kendrick is getting better all the time and this is his best spot(home/day).

I think this is a 5-3 game either way.

Bos 1st 5 under 5 and Tor 1st 5 under 3.5.

No Man-Ram, Ortiz, Utley struggling lately, pitcher has to bat and Kendrick has been solid.

Marcum and Sheets have pitched well. Boh should dominate early just like the TB/CHI game yesterday.

Really like the Tor 1st 5 the best.

Ramirez will not play for Boston. I think Zito has a good game which does not mean he wins. Any info regarding a ankle injury of Armando?

well.. manny out definitely helps... no CORA as well... 4 LHB in boston lineup.. we got Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard, Jenkins, and dobbs in for lefties.. that's 6/9 hitters as lefties... this spells disaster for masterson. Look for his first bad start here.

Lowe threw 122 last start. Most for him in at least the last 3 years. Thinking Reds on a bounce.

bc, do you have any stats on how phils do off a shutout before this year? I know yesterday was the 4th time it happened in 2008..

dont wanna jinx it, but st. louis is 12-0 SU in game 2's off a loss in game 1. Also, KC is off two SU dog wins - ala Rambles SUDWING.

my thoughts exactly.

after shut outs:
8-7 W home v WAS
1-0 W away v WAS
5-0 W home v CIN

All the shut outs were by the same team they beat the following day

it's an uphill battle from here... if phils dont do something to reply right away... it's probably over..

The AL went an impressive 12-2 last night in interleague, not a good start for Philidelphia today as Kendrick getting pounded as I type this 4-0. Wondering if it is going to get corrected today or if the NL is going to show up. I like a couple of NL's bounceback spots today.

Cubs and Over....wonder if Lou will let Big Z hit instead of using a DH.

Houston +145 looks enticing

SF +140

Mets/LAA Over 9

kendrick better as hell settle down.. i think having ellsbury on base really messed with his head..
