Wednesday, 8/15 MLB Discussion

NJ has a sole online operation at this time. I have been very hard pressed to find any value out of this shops lines and doubt I really start playing here till FB

Anyway here’s Draftkings mlb lines for tomorrow

Would you want to with these awful lines?

Offshores gonna be king for a long time if that’s the crap they offer and I have to pay 13.8% on winnings

GTFOH

No freaking clue why pirates are dogs today? Archer has owned the twinks and strong starts w big e behind the plate. On the contrary berrios has not been a good day pitcher, few rough outings w E. And neither pitcher typically a model of efficiency in which case advantage pirates if it turns into pen game. Not sure wtf I’m missing but this line looks ass backwards imo, i took butt pirates as doggies.

I had Pirates -120 last night and man that was a frustrating game to watch. Don't think Polanco strikes out 4 times again and hopefully they can knock some in with the bases loaded this time.

Atlanta looks easy.
Danley big over ump fits
Boston is 12-3 on Wednesday but Eovaldi on 4 has a 8 ERA and also stinks at night
Danley also seems to love Boston and like Eovaldi but how this guy does not give away a lot of runs eludes me

NY a little more complicated but like them. Very good Wednesday team Cessa is good on 6+ Baker the ump big homer
need to look at Tampa pitcher and Cleveland another monster Wednesday team 15-3
Do not see myself betting Boston but no way to bet them with a straight face

Anderson just out pitched Cole at Coors end of July. He gave up 1 run and 3 hits and Cole gave up 2 runs and 5 hits. Then the ROX pen imploded. I’ll take Anderson again at this glorious price. All the ROX do is throw out quality start after quality start. I’ll take my chances with a rested pen now. Rox +170

Favorite angle today, no surprise, is Leake shutting down Oakland...so many angles. Only one that could be of concern is deflation from the Paxton injury but gonna count against that

Also Pirates/Twins early start in Minny, couple pitchers I'm good with (especially Archer now in the NL) and Eddings calling strikes gets the green light

Something tells me that the Dodgers are secretly happy Puig will sit for awhile, his antics after every pitch, every throw are wearing, even on them. It’s obviously always about Puig and not about the Dodgers with that guy. I asked him last Friday night when he was in the on deck circle if I could lick his bat and he politely said no.

will the Puig susp take a few days? Or will they sit him the rest of the series starting tonight?

Over umps: Philly (big), Cinci (usually big), Atl (moderate)
Under umps: Minny (huge), KC (I think he could be great for unders watching 3 games), STL (moderate)

@KJ after all that Padre discussion, I do think tonight is the night to lay -125 on them. Pena looks like a mess, Pads will get to him and Erlin can throw some junk at a line up weak against lefties.

Maybe wait until later and hope the line comes down when public sees +money on the Angels against Pads again. Not sure.. hard to see the line go up any higher than it is now.

besides the fact that Urena is a dumpster fire, bravos have a favorable ref

903 Miami Marlins +200 Over 8½ -110
904 Atlanta Braves -220 Under 8½ -110
Chad Fairchild 2018: 15-6, 8-12 o/u (2017: 18-15, 13-20 o/u)
Home team is 19-7 in Fairchilds last 26 games behind home plate
Home team is 4-1 in Fairchilds last 5 Braves games behind home plate

FYI my ump stuff...I don't look at final records, those will vary year over year

WHIP is my primary stat

regarding Pitt/Minny better to go Under FF or FG?
Both imo but you can probably see I'm on FF for more, also Twins tt under

I like Archer a ton and expect him to excel in the NL. While this game has the DH, the extra moxie he gets from a couple auto outs when he pitches will only help his confidence. Think he's a winner long term. Early start today, hope for 2-1 type game

Don't underestimate the Searage effect in Pitt. Must've been a huge mental boost for the kid when he went to a team that still doesn't spend but at least tries to compete more than the Rays ever will.

Cleveland very good as well as Atlanta. Played under in Detroit. Both starters very good on 4.

Also really likes Gausman

Hi 16.88 ERA on about 5 innings and Berrios not so good in the day and has not ben playing well

Uncertain about the Minn under. Berrios very high ERA with Eddings
Early start I'm good, PIT have a game at home tomorrow so have to travel

And honestly with umps like Eddings, I wouldn't look at history more than I'd look at a move toward the mean. I highly doubt Berrios just wasn't getting calls...revert to norm, I expect a quick game from Douglas today
