Clippers back home after a swing out East, and after watching the Hornets the other night against the Blazers, those f**kers take A LOT of time off the clock on each possession (why teams are so slavish to the shot clock that they pass on wide open looks at 10 seconds only to settle for even worse shots at 20 seconds I'll never understand...)

it's more so that Bargs is not in the lineup and jacking 25 3's and going 1 for 14 from the field and not rebounding...Barg's injury is giving Ed Davis playing time, which is what he needed, but couldn't get cause Bargs (being a #1 pick har har) and coming off the bench would cause politic tension within the org...That being said, I hope they realize that Ed Davis should be starting...Also, look at the play of Calderon lately, he's been on fire

I have a feeling that CP3 doesn't want to beat his former team too heavily or Hornets have good match ups, but since the trade, Hornets are 2 - 2 SU and 3 - 1 ATS with Clippers going over 100 points only once.
Both teams feel good about half court offense and I'm really not sure that in slow pace, Clippers can score 100+ points.

But Knicks play very poorly as well. They allowed 100+ points 4 of the last 5 games and their opponent went over his total in all 5 last games. To add to that, Knicks only 2 - 4 last 6 games ATS and Kidd won the game in Brooklyn with offensive foul that refs missed.

Emkee, perception alters lines, it doesn't throw them this ridiculously out of whack imo. 4.5 would've been inflated here, you look around and I actually haven't seen a ton of eager okc backers. If anything, this line is a cautious one to throw a few people off okc's scent and no longer want them bc "6 is so many points." The line tells me the thunder will be up by double digits from the second quarter on imo.

The book doesn't shade lines like that imo, they'll get okc money whether this game was 3 or 6 like you said. My point is, the book knows that, and there's a reason they're not exposing a 3/3.5 on this game to bait okc backers (this line could easily be that, this was the # before Atlanta even tipped off against Washington).

Lot of years back I noticed that the Oilers in hockey flipfloped every time they played b-b. Trend broke at last at the end of the season after they had locked the playoffs. More random variance.

Actually think the opener of 5.5 was a fair line all things considered. Do not believe for one minute they would have the Hawks anything less than a 4 - 4.5 home dog to OKC. It would take a bit more than 6 to throw people off the Thunder right now. Statfox, Dunkel and many a tout support a play on OKC...
