Washington and Utah have one thing in common. They both have sucked on Wednesday

I'll take a guess CASH:

Boston & Miami?

--> Read today that Portland has a whopping 9 games remaining in which their opponent is on a Back-to-Back...(Miami is not one of them).

Good luck tomorrow all

I guess 1 question is the Miami curse still in effect after a upset win because if it is not I think Portland has a real problem. Also is there anyway I can avoid betting Utah. I doubt it. Best defensive team and best rebounding team in the NBA and boy do they get little respect.

Very small sample size, but teams that won Cleveland SU as an underdog and play at home, are 1 - 7 ATS this season, including Heat losing to Memphis earlier this season. Only Portland avoided the loss, by winning Dallas at home.

I like Utah, but it's pretty obvious that line starts to take in to account their recent run and respect them.
They are 3 points favorites against healthy playoff team.

I don't think it's a curse, I think it's a legit problem. They have pretty old roster and I just don't think they can play two games in a row (even if not B2B) in full throttle and yes, I'm playing Portland :)

I realize that it's H2H for the first place in the NBA and I know that Scott, Sefolosha and Korver are missing, but given the fact that Klay is probably out as well, 6 points favorites against the Hawks?
I really want to take the Warriors, but expected 4 - 5 points without Klay here...

might even be 3 or 4,, had an eye on 2 but some of those lines are intriguing.. need to see totals and then injury/rest reports.....too much fudgery going on with rest and stuff.... busy work day.. will check in later...
gl to all...

2 Play of the year candidates

What is the point of such posts? To create intrigue and drama? You want to post plays and say they POY, go ahead, you don't want to, don't. But what's the point of writing such a post?

Intrigue, discussion and some fun - 99% of the time this place is dead except for Tuck, BJ and a few other here and there...they only time it gets lively is when emkee comes in and bitches about the refs, and the league is out against him .. ;)
the only drama is you saying something about it.. ...

BTW I am in here every single day, half the posts in these discussion threads are from me.

Ask the CTG owners which forum has the most visitors from 6:30 - 10:00 est... Do you think at 6:30 est there are on avg 12 members and 80 guests to see which player or coach has a birthday and that team should cover the spread because they are having extra cake tonight?? Hell No- They are here to see my plays because I am up 200 fucking units as of last night.

and btw the last time I wrote play of the year I followed it with "having a little fun with the title" I am still having some fun with it... if you have an issue report me.....

gl on your plays

Last time I checked, you have zero contribution to this thread and to NBA forum. You never say anything worth paying attention to. I always skip your posts, without even reading them. Was forced to read the first post, because it was the first post on the thread.
You want to post picks, create your thread and post picks there and I never saw you even once keeping record, but suddenly you're up 200 units? Ok... whatever you say...
I would like to see in discussion threads, discussion about games, not empty posts, like 99.9% of those that you post in here...

Orlando away b-b is 6-2 ATS this season. Days of week favor them. Spot is great. Dallas is off a tough energy draining game they won and is looking past Orlando to Memphis and Suns in major revenge. Next 8 games after them are tough playoff contenders. Still want to look and listen but strong favorite to play this

Why isn't anyone mentioning Cleveland. I understand there are some injury concerns but Brooklyn got it's two wins off the sisters of the poor and now will face on the road a team that has things setting up nicely for them. They beat SAS which I believe is bigger to them then most people think then right back and kill Orlando after two days rest and then play a Miami team on a BTB that just wanted that game more. Cleveland Big.

On a side note SAS should come out and play to destroy Milwaukee. Lets give Milw credit for being competitive but since the middle of Feb the injuries are starting to show up and they should get blown out also .
So IMO laying the Road chalk and a Home Double Digit number has a great chance to be a couple of wins in your pocket. This time of the year you can really get caught up over thinking these games.

Lets all just come in here and talk down on people, when they are posting about the sport.

My balls smell like three day old room temperature sour cream. Lets talk about that.

I like the Cavs just hate it with -11.5 points.
The Celtics I'll take with +7. They have been playing as a unit ever since Thomas has been out. This could be the new Englander in me. I know they're facing a better team. This will be a true test.
Spurs have got to be hungry tonight after giving up to the knicks.
Other than that I like the Jazz and Blazers. Wait, Is it okay if I just post team names?

Like Portland myself and even more now that Miami beat Cleveland I which believe they wanted to do and it's possible a flat spot awaits. Portland will be a play for me and thinking about the Under also when there on the Road. Jazz have a nice short favorite record but for some reason just don't do it for me tonight against a washington club that seems to have put there losing ways behind them recently. Good Luck

Most of these games I have not had time to look at. Will post opinions when I have them. BOL

The problem with a Washington play is they have won last 2 vs Utah. This for a team like Utah that lives for revenge is a real negative for any Washington play.

Days of the week also support the Spurs. Very good on Wednesdays and Bucks suck on Wednesday.

Not sure why anyone would give Cash a hard time in here. IMO he contributes as much as anyone and I for one look forward to his posts. He keeps us up to date on injuries and who is and isn't playing,he posts his plays and he wins and he engages with us when he thinks we have a point and when he thinks we don't. He is obviously an excellent capper with unique formulars. The value of a forum like this is input from others to help us all make informed decisions and Cash fits that bill as well as anyone. I am looking forward to his posts today specifically because of his post. All this IMHO

Agree that the lines makers have caught up with the Jazz. I would have expected the Wiz to be favs and was further perplexed when the line moved up from the 2.5 open.Wiz in good form, jazz also and at home....gonna have to check matchups

C's getting 7 at okc, a line that would have been 11 or so a month ago...C's trade green and rondo and get better....go figure. Indy layed 8.5 to C's and now okc laying 7....gotta take c's and hope form continues

Milwaukee has won their last 4 home games on Wednesday and is supported by trends and the spot. Early examination of Cleveland creates a lean to Brooklyn. Refs stink for a Cleveland play. Cleveland at home after a loss is currently 3-8 ATS and has 2 teams after Brooklyn they want much more. Brooklyn is in a reasonable spot.

lol, this guy...

Real possibility I play Brooklyn. Do see a strong angle for Spurs. Bucks 2-12 ATS after holding a team to under 85.

would love to hear some reasoning....am leaning hawks but strictly due to points but I do have some reservations....mainly that if gsw comes to play (and they should) and they are hitting on offense then they should win and cover...they have such different styles on O and it leads me to believe that gsw is more organized but i am always wary of teams that make their living on the jump shot....if both teams are committed to D tonight then atl could steal one

Paulie my man!! Agree on Miami, they came into boston recently and manhandled the c's with hustle and determination and then the c's went down to Miami and Mia sucked

Wiz/jazz tough call....lean Jazz but then I do most nights

Hate to say it but DUCK Boston. Boston is on a poor day of week but much worse after a 10-19 point win is 1-3 ATS on the road with 0-4 SU record

I like the Warriors, because Hawks lately play pretty poorly. I watched them a bit (three different halves in three matches) lately and I can't help but feel that they are resting and just waiting for the season to end - they can't wait to get to the playoffs.
This is a game that Hawks can appear, since it's the battle for the best record in the league, but on the other hand, I don't like the way they are playing and Korver out could be big for them. They got a lot of shooters, but Korver causes rival defense to panick - something that no other Hawk is capable of doing. Scott also was having best form of his career lately and he is out...

I hear ya....my gut has been telling me to stay away from them...they are due to throw in a clunker....haven't played anything yet but for sure won't lay 7 with okc....i wonder what they effect of ibaka out will have in the short term

I took the Thunder ML for 2 parlays, but couldn't lay 6 points on them, without Ibaka and Durant. Suddenly, Waiters has to carry the load.
Not sure I agree that Ibaka's absence means worse defense. Collison is his replacement...

Really like the Under in Cleveland. Cleveland are 1 - 5 in Under's favor, playing at home as double digits favorites off a loss.
Still not sure if to play Under overall or Nets TT 96.5 points Under.
Out of the 6 games, only once rival team scored over tonight's total.
Nets are 2 - 9 in Under favor, as double digits dog on the road this season.
They are also 1 - 7 - 1 in Under favor, as road dog off one day's rest.

Who knows what Pop is doing. They fear no team that is currently in the Top 4 out West and could win any series come playoff time. They appear to be jockeying for a certain spot. Last night was almost deliberate by the Spurs, Pops left the majority of his bench in to start the 4th and smiled walking to the locker room at the end of the game. Would be careful with San Antonio until their motive becomes more clear.

Above average teams (60% or more winning percentage) on 0 days rest are 32-12 SU after losing to a shitty team (winning percentage below 30%) but only 20-21-3 ATS, fwiw.

Hate to say it but DUCK Boston. Boston is on a poor day of week but much worse after a 10-19 point win is 1-3 ATS on the road with 0-4 SU record

Spread opened at 9 as well. Vegas has to catch on to the C's epic runs when getting points or playing after a favorite.

As much as I want to play Boston, will be staying away.

“We didn’t respect the game, we didn’t respect our opponent,” Popovich said. “It was a pathetic performance. And I hope that every player is embarrassed. Not because we’re supposed to win the game, quote unquote, but it’s about how you play the game.”

That doesn't sound like a man who didn't care...

What was he expected to say, they just lost to the Knicks. If they come out and win by 40 tonight, then I'll put merit on what he said.

Dude was jovial at the end of the game last night, that's all I'm sayin'. Pops is a smart man.

Have that under myself as well as the games I mentioned as well as Bulls and Toronto among others

So I guess we aren't getting Cash's GOY now... Thanks Divol

Don't worry, you will see him and his "xl", "large", "max" "double max" or whatever soon enough...
He needs to keep the show running. By the end of tonight he will be up 300 units or maybe 400 units or maybe 1000 units - why go small, if you can go big...

why the hate? he's having an excellent season.

+200 ytd.

no goy - a few of the lines got away from me - not even sure what they came out at and just getting a chance to look.
was looking at Cavs 1h over wanted 104 but its 106.

1h over cavs 106 - large
1h sixers over 99 - max -- expect a fast pace - 1 less big guy for pistons (monroe and b2b) -- this will come down to efficiency..

looking at a few more...

tblazers ml- -- max-- heat let down after beating cavs. -- previous game for blazers was ugly...
