I like the over in Toronto. The Jays have hit well lately and if my memory is right Burnett sucks at home and in the day. Lean to the Braves ML.

Indians RL

Angels ML.

T. Welke in Toronto, he's a clubber to the under. If Burnett brings his A game, this could stay very low. He is so bi-polar lately in his performances. right when he tosses a few good games, he can give up 7ERs. Anyone have correlation with why that happens?

Bell in cleveland with arroyo and Laffey. Clubber to the under as well. We know most likely what Laffey will give us. Arroyo is a big question mark. Need to research further.

Angels will win tomorrow. They wont get shutdown 3 nights in a row. I took the dodgers in game 1, and have watched. They are still the team i thought they were. Some pop, but no flow. Lackey will shut these guys down in the worst way and the offense will show a little grit after tonight's debacle.

despite the fact that arroyo can struggle at times in the day ... that price seems a bit off.

Every bad start he's had at home has been off a decent road start his previous game. His previous start was a decent one, but it was at home.

angels, cubs, mets, padres and rockies are all facing a sweep.

Depends how you look at it with Mets, maybe not really since they won the game in Yankee stadium early Friday, think both teams view it as a 4 game set.

Like the Angels and Cubs to avoid...

Maybe Peavy as well...

Minn team tota looks like a good bet over 3.5. Sheets is on good rest but has bad history on turf and Minn hitting vs right handers most impressive.Think Minn as a side is also reasonable but would be very surprised to see Minn not score 4 runs.

Minnesota +120-Bounce Back After Yesterday's Loss. Slowey And Bull-Pen Pitching Well. BUT...Slowey, Is Just 1-3 In Four Starts At The Metrodome With A 4.71 ERA...AND Sheets Is 6-0 Road Record And A 2.41 ERA.

A's -138- Bounce Back. A's Still Own the giants. Blanton Pitches Like He Did Last Outing, A's Should Win The Series. If You Think Blanton Is Still No Good, Then Over 7.5 A Play.

Seattle +136- San Diego Can't Score. They Are Really Playing Poorly. While I'm Not A Big Fan Of Bedard, He's Piching Real Well. SD are 5-17 in their last 22 interleague home games. SD are 1-11 in their last 12 overall.

Wow, its been a while since I've since a 6.5 total out there. If there was ever a game that was justified in a total like that, this is it. Not sure Bedard on the road warrants a 6.5, but against this offense its hard to argue. I'll pass on that game, but lean Peavy and UNDER.

I actually like the Brewers laying the chalk on the road. Ben's pitching great this season and its tough to play that next game after breaking a long streak the night before.

Guthrie is a steal at this price, but still looking at a few things. Muggy as hell again in DC.

Sheets on the road on Sunday. 3-9 and only 3 times did he pitch well. still 6-0 this season on 5 days rest.

Was thinking of betting over in SEA@SD game, but when i checked my stats ytd on my OVER plays on lines of 7 or lower i am 4-9. The game will be a no bet for me.

Is there someone out there that keeps track of O/U on 7 or under totals STD?

Hard to imagine the over would be favored considering my poor record on the over plays in these games.

want to bet your Os Doggy as I know you like this guy. Let me know what you think.

Also don't discount the Dodgers. Lowe hasn't been bad - he's not gotten any run support as of late. Anaheim has yet to score a run in this series - how can anyone be excited about backing a team like that?

Rex - How about that eye gouging support for Colorado today? I can't for the life of me understand that but will stay far away.

I like Em Rex. Guthrie just has bad luck with run support so I don't wanna lay chalk with him here, but I won't argue with a play on them. Its the right side

Good luck

that's the pokers. I like the Rockies as well as my ass still hurts from Todd Jones disaster last night. I dont for the life of me have a clue as to how that guy is a closer in the major leagues. I guess he has incriminating pictures of LEyland and a goat or something.

Thanks Doggy. Imma crush the RL.

Sunday 1 PM starts : (Thoughts and Leans)

Colorado ML -

There isnt much to put this play on your radar but I saw the price last night at 4AM and though COL looked good. The price has dropped as DET will rest some starters NOT trap theories . Clearly a plus (Maggs actually left with injury yesterday)

My 1st thought was aging LHP Kenny Rogers and Jaime Moyer have had struggles in the day .

Reynolds has poor day splits and poor away splits but the sample size is just 3 games each.

What I like about Reynolds is his plus velocity and like I always say young pitchers tend to be able to get out the hitters out that are the same side (Righty vs righty or Lefty vs lefty ) . The growing process is continually getting out the opposite hitters . DET very RHB and he has been very successful vs RHs so far .

The other fact I like about Reynolds is actually not his strong IL performances in 2 home starts (0.75ERA) . It's his better starts on long rest . Somehow I realized the kids in the minors all start every 6th day in most cases rather then the normal 5th day . So extended rest in the ML

The extended rest starts were at home vs Minny and NYM in his 2nd and 3rd ML starts. The April 20 and 27 were starts like todays on weeks rest (pitching on the 7th day) . Which happened to be his best in AAA after his fast rise . Granted one could say he also had a few starts under his belt but I think he feels better going every 6th and 7th day . Soemthing I noticed in Lincecum as well . With pitch counts these days watched closely I bet we see this alot in the next few years. Young SP who need to adjust to the every 5th day routine. Just another theory of mine .

So I do think Reynolds is quality sort of Mike Pelfrey like . Great velocity the inability to put hitters away . Det swings alot though as well which is another plus. His road woes were early after 2 very good home starts that probably had expectations ahead of reality . He was solid @ SD but 5th and 6th when they got there 3 rd look he suffered , same deal in Phily 1-0 till b5th and wheels fell off and LAD he was just bad but COL was in shambles as well. So not weighing those that heavily. Also Angel Hernandez bigger zone calls alot of strikes should benefit the youngster .

DET goes from Polanco and Pudge to Holliman (SWH) and Sardinha . Ordonez a middle of the order guy to a quality LH in CLete Thomas. Who despite good numbers actually has them infalted by going 5-7 vs LHPs.

"Gamblers" day splits arent terrible but his worst outings I recall where @ Wssox and vs Texas earlier in the season both happened to be day games. He faces some quality RHBs today with COL and Holliday is hitting well since his return. I have been DOWN how weak the WEST divisions are especially the NL West. Look at Rogers HOTs streak @ LAA ( who slumped for a good month) , @ OAK (heavy LH lineup and old team ) , vs Cle and WSox two teams who struggled vs LHP and also offensively , @ SFG the NL WEST .

Again older guy in the heat / humidity ( though see only 80 and tstorms in det) and he hit the wall in the 5th inning last game vs STL. Now has to go out 5 days later probably would benefit from an extra day off after 98 pitches in 5 + innings . Granted his stats on 5 days are much much better then extra rest.

COL plugs in 8 RHB today. Love the momentum from the comeback and the fact they lost will keep them hungry IMO...Tigers play @ Minnesota after this ....COL needs this much more then DET and think the situation benefits COL with a + price tag . The reality is COL is AWFUL on the road 12-30 and pretty bad in day games and vs LHP. Still I would think this like the Cubs game the other day. You pay -190 for Verlander and win but not convincingly just like -200 for Lilly who won 7-4 . Next day price dips 20 cents and you go from a SP who is tough to hit (Lilly good H to inning and K to 9) Veralnder to Rogers while the opposition might not be a better SP its a better fit vs the opponent as Francis is LHP and DET likes hitting vs LHP .....

COL ML and +1.5 RL lean under ...

1:35 Wash and Pitt ML - expected them to win the series both tied 1-1 and have pending series plays.

Still looking at the other 1:05 games though:cheers:

want to bet your Os Doggy as I know you like this guy. Let me know what you think.

Also don't discount the Dodgers. Lowe hasn't been bad - he's not gotten any run support as of late. Anaheim has yet to score a run in this series - how can anyone be excited about backing a team like that?

I think Lowe has been regressing though last 2 starts after a few awesome outings which your right lack of run support hurt him. So not sure we get the same Lowe as a 2 weeks ago.

Guthrie is the KING of IL check his 07 and 08 splits . I'll post them when I can think it was 5 runs in 35 innings before Cubbies which he was real good till his last outing

Be back with some comments hopefully.....:shake:

Honestly, the Euro Cup final might have more scoring than the Dodgers/Anaheim game. Neither team can hit and both have good pitching.

Wash and Pitt ML 's plus +1.5 RLs....

Obviously started already ..

Guthrie IL beast 51inn 33h 11r 9bb 40K (and remember he allowed 3 hits and 3runs in his last start w/o retiring a guy in the 7th ..

Still he tends to be better at night . O's are 1-11 on Sundays(18-45 since 06) , 6-16 in game 3s and winding down a trip , plus 8-18 in day games . Wash 10-13 in day games compared to 22-37 at night as well. Bergmann sound as one could be for losing 9 of 10 starts .

With Pitt simply felt that Pena in the middle now hurts them somewhat vs LHP as he works his way back. Aybar for Iwamura is a plus though . TB winds down a successful trip and returns hom eto host Boston. Hoping a flat spot for them after such a long game yesterday . Played the over but probably shouldnt have. Did it because of the overworked pens for both and SP who tend to exit in the 6th inning. TB has done well vs LHP of late something like 10 of 13 but Gorezlanny has battled at home and despite so-so sats been productive. Just really like this Pitt lineup ....

BOL

Missed the 2PMs weather killed my internet ...

Was gonna play Boston -1.5 RL , Twins +1.5 RL and Cards ML (also over 4.5 runs 1st 5 innings)

BOL Be back for the rest of the card later !

Texas ML and RL +1.5 (more on the RL) {Lean UNDERs }

Moyer's day splits are the biggest concern and outweigh his away splits . Simply because his most recent away starts have been at nigh vs teams who tend to struggle vs LHSP. ALthough Texas certainly fits the bill for team struggling vs LHSP. The good is they hit okay vs Hamels last nite especially the top of the order . Which Young 370 and Bradley 7/17 2Hrs have done vs Moyer in the past.

Big reason I played Philly yesterday was Padilla's soft game log and also his weakness being LHBs which clearly Philly has 2 great ones amongst a few . Here Hurley in his limited time has done well to get LHB out keeping them in the low 240s. So I think Hurley could be a better matchup then Padilla was despite Padilla's 2008 season. Hurley has improved each time out and now should be more comfortable making his 2nd home start .

Plus the AL doing so well vs the NL factor has to come into play when we see an AL home dog.

Under because of the recent lack of success for Tex vs LHP . Philly scored just 8 run sin 5 previous game vs RHSP before yesterday.

Emmel behind the dish

Philly 157 vs RHP L10 games
Texas .195 vs LHSP L10 games

So leaning Under game and 1st 5 as well as 1st 5 ML:cheers:GL all

Nut: Why you liking Texas? I have strong lean to Phils & Under

Moyer 's day splits huge concern :

<TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=1 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR class=bg2 vAlign=center align=right height=15><TD align=left>Day</TD><TD align=right>2</TD><TD align=right>2</TD><TD align=right>5.50</TD><TD align=right>7</TD><TD align=right>7</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>37.2</TD><TD align=right>53</TD><TD align=right>26</TD><TD align=right>23</TD><TD align=right>6</TD><TD align=right>2</TD><TD align=right>10</TD><TD align=right>2</TD><TD align=right>15</TD><TD align=right>2</TD><TD align=right>4</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>.342</TD></TR><TR class=bg3 vAlign=center align=right height=15><TD align=left>Night</TD><TD align=right>5</TD><TD align=right>3</TD><TD align=right>3.16</TD><TD align=right>9</TD><TD align=right>9</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>57.0</TD><TD align=right>51</TD><TD align=right>20</TD><TD align=right>20</TD><TD align=right>7</TD><TD align=right>1</TD><TD align=right>15</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>41</TD><TD align=right>5</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>0</TD><TD align=right>1</TD><TD align=right>.235</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

20 less innings then at night but 2 more hits allowed and 3 more earned runs . Also same amount of Hrs basically and 15ks in 37.2 inn compared to 41 K in 57 inn.. Doesnt matter if Moyer is a strikeout pitcher or not as Ks are always important for pitchers and an obvious decline like that indicates his stuff isnt as good or much more hittable.

-Hurley better matchup then Padilla was IMO. Simply based on the difference in performance vs LHB's.

- AL IL record

-Weak away teams :
NYM , MILW
Ari , SF , WAS
Atl , Fla , Oak

Some weak because they were slumping badly others because they dont hit LHP at all. Some like NY teams he does well against ....

:cheers:Philly barely won with Hamels IMO and I had them

Tex/Phila O/U 11

I was very curious bout the OVER on the Phila/Tex game...O/U 11 -15....This is a very strange line and the public (including all the pro capper) are eating this up. Let me explain...1 st game they play o/u 11 (scored 15), 2nd game O/u went to 9.5 ..understandable w/ hamels and padilla (scored 14) and now the 3rd game given an inexperience rookie and an old dude...before i saw the line today i was thinking at least 11.5...and with so many people are on the over the line it is still @ 11 w/ little "scary juice" -115....y don't they move the line up to 11.5..to even out the betting field ? hummm...

GL CFM .

Texas ML
Texas RL +1.5 ( lil more then ML)
Texas 1st 5Inn ML (small)
Under 11 even (small)

I liked it myself but scared to some degree as I expect Moyer to get hit and the day has riddled with unders so far .

no way you can go against buerhle and the sox at home tonight, right? quentin dye are actually worse vs lefties this year. quentin at .206

ump info?

Staying away I think Tide . Hit the Series bet already, won games 1 and 2 with WSox.

I would suggest WSox ML and Cubs +1.5 RL plus Under plays w/o researching it myself ....expect another close game...WSox struggling vs LHSP as far as scoring runs and Cubs prefer LH . Theriot playing ? WSox lineups he faced were weak in comparision and Uribe hit him well .

I am just to tired to look at it right now maybe if I get a second wind....BOL:shake:

any insight appreciated, so thanks.

I don't like how CWS hits lefties either, but maybe that's a trend that is more coincidence than noteworthy. i understand why the line is at 138 because of the cubs people, but that's cheap for buerhle right now. i'm behind it.

i think i saw shortline on the over in chicago in the ingame thread.... for those that follow his totals picks.
