Memphis of interested, first back off 5 game road trip, but, BC's trends call for a play on the second game, which doesn't really occur since Portland is off to Phx on 4/1, and then doesn't play at home again until 4/4 vs Phx. Still, I believe that Memphis will beat Portland up down low, are in better form, and are worth a look at +110 or better.

Home game ..............................51-48-3 (off 5+ road trip W.Cong 1st back)

Still reviewing notes for rest of card.

This is Portland's record for their 1st game baclk off a 4+ game road trip the last 10 completed seasons -

Teams with the worst 1st game records over the last 10 seasons -
Portland ........... 11-19-1

Add to that their 1-4 ATS record in a 1st game back this season = 12-23-1 ATS.

I don't have any great feeling for this game, but Portland's post road trip woes are well established, and hard to back.

They are off a 5 gamer....change anything? Thanks BC.

some random thoughts:

OKC - seeding seeding seeding - 1 game up on clippers - lost last time they play at Jazz....earlier start time (does it matter?)

clev/pacers- pacers need to start play more consistently.. only 1 game up in the loss column of the heat - has the horseshoe fallen from the indians..

Raptors/magic- Magic with a comeback win over charlotte feeling good in disney and a chance to get to 500 at home- toronto fighting for seeding..

twins/NJ - the mad russians playing for seeding both above and behind them..twins beat them last time out-- some points in this game???

bulls/C's -- Bulls didnt show up last game- C's in competitive b2b with the dinosaurs.. do the bulls get angry? do you think they show up? C's mnmgt see's the lottery- players playing hard for contracts -have a few d-leaguers and guys on 1 years.. the question is do the bulls show up?

Grizz/tblazers - 1st game back from trip for blazers- tough loss for the grizz (both teams play for playoffs, grizz a little more urgency, like the deeper team to catch the win tonight (they play at mile high tomorrow night)

knicks/warriors --gs still fighting for playoffs...slight chance for knicks...

lakers/suns - suns fighting for playoff spot -- lakers just gave up 143 on the road to twolves... is anything really going to change for the lakers - they have played better at home but..

again some random thoughts-- comments, questions, your thoughts???

Cashman
Playoff seeding does not influence a play one way or another. Either a team is motivated at it's core it's not. Team A vs Team B doesn't matter so much as, what's the price and risk associated.

Good luck, always enjoy your contributions.

i don't agree - there are some teams - the top ones that are motivated at the core, then there are teams/players that play it game by game....

I am not saying all teams are motivated with playoff seeding, but there are definitely teams/players that look at who they might be playing in the 1st round home or away..weather they can get the win or cover the spread is what we look at to make that decision

Let me ask you ; Are the bulls motivated at the core? Are they motivated to get a win today?

btw- i agree with the grizz...

All of the things you guys already pointed out, plus the Griz are 11-3 SU (7-7 ATS) after a road loss this season. And they have owned Portland: 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS L5. Portland has averaged 89.7 ppg against the Griz in nine games since 2011.

So hard to play Indy loser's of 13 of there last 15 ATS while Cleveland is 8-2 as a +5 or better except the one game they were +4.5 at home to Toronto and won that game out-right. There 5-5 SU as a Dog in the same time period. Tough to consider Cleveland but there only two games from the 8th spot but Atlanta who's there now does have two games in hand. Also if you look at the last 0 games they played the competition is pretty strong overall.

On the other hand Indy in the next 7 games after Cleveland have to play SAS,Toronto, MIAMI and OKC. IMO they're losing the top spot to Miami.

Let me say, that I agree in principal to what your saying if we were talking about winning a game SU, but the point spread changes the dynamic. Yes, the Bulls are motivated at the core, are they motivated today? Can't answer that, and laying 4 points is not a good proposition in my IMO. I'm going to take some of your theory and incorporate into my capping. That's what the forum is for. Learning from one another and seeing how we can raise our bottom line.

A great example of this was the "record by day" thing of which Nbfan and Tuck123 continued to point out. At first, I considered it complete bullshit. But one I took the time to get their perspective, I was able to add another angle to consider.

Let's get it today.

Boston very good in Sunday home games. Bulls pretty bad in Sunday away games. Can't post right now since I'm on my phone

Took Nets and Memphis tonight.

Memphis for reasons mentioned. Better team, more motivated against team in bad form, after long trip and this is a team they own.

Minny after great game against the Lakers, but don't have much to fight for, except for trying to go over 50% and Nets at home usually roll.

Have them
Nets last 20 at home 18-2 15-5 ATs 12 game winning streak
Concept 67% shooting is bad for a team in next start
I believe you do not have to
Situation
Minn out of the playoffs can pick who they play hard
Tomorrow they play Clippers at home
Clipps on an 8 game winning streak vs them and 14-6 last 20
I played Nets minus 4

Because the over is getting bet heavy

I played it under last 10 at site 8-2 under
Utah with major revenge vs Knicks the next day and OKC looking at a ton of playoff teams coming in
Just no time to talk today

Lean Grizz and they're in a decent spot but my least favorite poster at 'Blankets' is on them - Rastad.

Expect the Suns to win. Not sure ATS this time,
Clipper look ahead and off a over 20 winner. Could be very tight here. Still thinking.

Tuck what do u think of the total and the total in the 1st half in Suns/lakers game ? Isn't that a bit high considering also the article u posted from the Sun's blog?

Really. Memphis lost. Golden State lost and the Suns are looking at

I am honestly not sure this could have worked out any better.
The Suns just lost by 16 and play at home vs the Clippers on 1 days rest.
believe the Suns are 6-0 SU this season after a over 10 loss.
Hello Clippers
The kid games are over and the real games are about to begin.
I am saying for the last time. The Suns are a VERY dangerous team
