To me only one that stands out is Toronto at +150

Will wait as I might be able to get +160, playing for 5 units.

More consistent team. Better defensive team. HCA. Better Rebounding Team. Better Scoring Team. Younger.

Do they have the wrong team favored?

As a Raptors fan, I was hoping the Nets were going to be the +150 team. I think the raptors can win but no experience vs a team that has tons

Not worried about the experience factory too much. Besides KG and PP...I dont think any other nets players have really won anything. Plus this team shows up to only play Miami or other top rated team. I dont expect PP or KG to even be a factor and their age might show up.

Main thing I think is the rebounding edge Raptors have, 2nd chance points the Raptors will have.


Top 50 rebounders this year in NBA. lowest average is 6 RPG.

Raptors= 2 (Jonas brothers(8.8) and Amir Johnson (6.6))

I think playoff experience is worth something, especially in a tight game where clock management counts,but PP and KG's experience are negated by their age, I watched their days in Boston and they are most definitely declining....especially KG who has played a lifetime of games at full speed....Doc said he used to have to sit him at practice because he was so intense

clock management is one thing but what is really disturbing is that the only thing that Nets have going for them so far is "playoff experience". That doesn't make sense if we are going about playoff experience, shouldn't the Spurs win every single time? Look at the amount of playoff experience that team has?

But as you said KG/PP during their prime were on a different level, they also had a very good coach in Doc. Change of scenery here and change of expectations.

dont see the raptors winning in brooklyn... the playoff experience comes in to play on the road imo and saying the only thing the nets have going for them is playoff experience is pure ignorance but that's fine... the thing with the nets is that they can look super shitty but when the games have mattered this year, they have played really good basketball... joe johnson has had some spectacular performances... the raptors bigs definitely scare me but KG was given all that time off to REST for the playoffs, not because he couldn't come back due to injury... and kirilenko is just downright scrappy and is the x factor defensively.... deron has also stepped up his game tremendously.... on DEFENSE.



and don't you think the series price is a little fishy? I do.

how is it pure ignorance when there are no statistical data to back that up.
right now the reality is this, the Nets with their line up before the season were touted to make the playoffs, the Raps on the other hand were just trying to see if they were anywhere close to 8 or just playing for top 5 pick.
I'm happy the raps made it and to be honest this is more than they can ask for, however playing against the Nets they have a chance, though I would of preferred they played vs the Wiz.
Anyways word has it that the nets purposely wanted to play the raps and well you get what you ask for when you do that.

Series price is not fishy at all as I've already noted the expectations for Nets before the season where much higher than the Raps so of course they should be the fav here.

As for playoff experience, meh... No one expected the Raptors to be in this position to begin with, so it's house money from here on in. It would be a little different if they were taking on a team with a bit of playoff mystique like Miami or Boston, but I doubt anyone's going to be tossing and turning in bed tonight thinking "Oh no, the Nets..."
