SEC is a fraud

SEC is weird. People rank these highly teams preseasons without knowing anything. Then they do nothing but play each other and just say they’re the best and no one can dispute it!!
In a utopian world there would be no rankings until at the earliest November. Preseason rankings pretty much ruin any kind objectivity in a sport that only has 12 games and it will only get worse as teams have to schedule more conference games.

That's true.

Free Agency and other things have tightened up the top of CFB.

SEC depth was starting to shrink a few years back.

Last year, the two best teams IMO were in the big ten.

This year, that could be true again.

A lot of football left though. Let's see what Jorja does tomorrow.

I think Indiana pretty much sucks even if they deserved to get in. Really I am so unimpressed with most of these teams and its probably unfair to pick on poor little Indiana.
There's no way they suck if they were a tiebreaker away from playing in the Big10 championship. Problem with college football is, the top 4 or 5 teams are not losing at home.

SEC stuffs the ballots early for the polls to help the S.O.S. and plays only 8 conference games. If they had balls they'd play 9 and every school has 1 more loss. Not surprising they don't want to disrupt what works, which is an extra home game vs a patsy and revenue.

You’re lumping it all together. This isn’t the way.

This is the dumbest thread on here in a while and thats saying something. Bookmark this stupid thread. In 5 or 10 years I GUARANTEE the conference with the most championships will be the SEC. WHAT WILL THE EXCUSE BE THEN?

Year after year during the BCS days the east coast and west coast darlings got curb stomped more often than not when they faced the last standing SEC team.

Pull up the championship games and champs the past 25 years. Or shut the fock up you sandy vagina pansies!

The BIG 10 is notorious for having a soft ass team playing against Michigan or Ohio State for its championship every year. Your bias is showing and it doesn't have the track record for championships you think it does? Playing an extra conference game benefits the Big 10 leaders. Hopefully, the conference strengthens within but for the past 25-30 years it’s been top heavy and middle/bottom soft. Use more data points for decent analysis.

Logic is I'm an fan, possibly alumni, and they won me money so respect us pretty please

Thing is they're more respectable without people like that coming on a gambling board trying to correct everything about Indy football

Since 2000 7 different universities that currently reside in the SEC have won national championships. 2 of those were in a different conference when they won it. So you can’t say bias got them the title.
Only 6 other schools combined have won one during that stretch. To act as though its not obvious that the SEC had the best football programs collectively is absolutely absurd. As an opponent of Alabama in the western division I understand the disdain but there is no reason to throw out reality to make your hurt little feelings jump for joy.

so that leads credence to the fact they DO beat up each other?
Sort of, but the bigger picture is each school in SEC wants that extra home game vs a cream puff instead of playing a conference foe. It's easy to decipher the SEC wants better records and extra home games. Try playing 9 conference games to solidify the top 3 or 4 in your conference instead of bunching up a handful of similar teams.

Since 2000
Big 10 championships - 3 by 2 teams
SEC championships - 14 - by 5 teams

Many of those were head to head between conferences with most going the SECs way Im not looking it up but I personally remember beating the greatest Ohio State team per the hype machine.

You are trolling and its obvious. We would rather play 10 road games vs the Big 10 I promise you. The 70’s called and they want their offenses back. What are you 12?

In most years I'd agree. Not this season. The numbers and results show SEC top teams are down. The addition of Oregon to Big10 when they just happen to be very good sway everything to the Big10.

But Northern Illinois won at ND and NIU lost to NC State who lost to Tennessee, so Tennessee would win at ND, right?

Or you just make ridiculous and meaningless transitive property claims when you feel like it?
Convenience is a data point

Part of the FOV I believe

First sign of intelligence shared.
How bout let one of those Big 10 teams secure a title in a historically down SEC year and we can have a discussion. If Georgia or Texas follow through like 80% of the past couple decades you will prove that in the worst of years the SEC is still dominate. LSU played Florida every year while Alabama got a pathetic Tennessee team. We know all about scheduling imbalance but to act as though ANY SEC gets a cake walk schedule is foolish and cant be taken seriously. Texas had it the easiest this year. Yet they still faced Georgia at home and lost. I believe they also visited the reigning national champ
From the mighty Big 10. Enjoy the playoffs. The crying should be over. The top 4-6 teams WILL play for their fate now.

Or you could just look at all the MAC teams that would obviously have won at ND without doing the Kevin Bacon thing

No big deal. ND has righted the ship. Georgia is lucky, and I mean lucky to even be in the playoffs. And that is the SEC champion. I won't mention ND beat Ga. Tech by a decisive score while we all know Georgia had no business winning that game. Keep your head in the sand.

A conferenceless elitist thats been handed every possible benefit of the doubt with a cupcake filled schedule forever starting a thread like this? You just made my day!

We're talking this season, and this season only. SEC just not great at the top this year. Not a big deal. Reality hurts I guess.
Nothing hurts lol. Would you be shocked if LSU beat Indiana this year? Honestly….Indiana would be favored too.
Indiana had their shot at Ohio State and the argument became “can they keep it close”
This is the type of shit we are defending…not win the game, just stay within the number.
Great season playing above their heads vs a really shitty schedule and they let 12 teams in now. And you saw what happened with what’s their best team in history?

Congratu-fucking-lations.

The current future champions have 3 of top 4 from Big10. I'm not going by history in anything I've said. This is all this season and current.

LSU lost to Alabama, who lost to Michigan, who lost to Indiana lol

Were you wearing diapers or not born yet when the planes hit the Twin Towers? Wisdom comes with age. Be patient you'll wake up wiser one day.

I lived through the 2019 season as my Tigers were disparaged most of the way through. Turns out Joe Burrow, Jamaar Chase and Justin Jefferson are decent at football versus all competition. There isnt much I havent heard from football fans that just don’t fully comprehend SEC football.
We all have our biases and moronic fandom moments as we evolve as human beings.

SEC fans get butthurt easily. Facts are in.
You can't be serious. You taunt people as butt-hurt for not accepting reality when you just distort reality when it doesn't suit you, like by spinning things in the way that you want to suit you with your ridiculous transitive property logic. At some point this thread isn't productive, and I'm being less convinced that you're serious because you're being both ridiculous with your extremely lax use of logic and deliberately provocative.

Are you being serious or just using transitive property to provoke people? Like I said before you can use transitive property to spin whatever narrative you want.
Holy shit, does Michigan and Illinois beating Bama and S. Carolina mean anything? SEC is a fraud Holmes

If I was an IU alum I would call security for conduct unbecoming

If I was a Purdue alum I'd use you as an example. A LOT.
