SEC is a fraud

This was the 4 team playoff format results before going to 12 teams...

In 2014 Oregon beat Florida St by 39 and OSU beat Oregon by 22
In 2015 Clemson beat Oklahoma by 20 and Alabama beat Mich St by 38
In 2016 Alabama beat Washington by 17 and Clemson beat Ohio state by 31
In 2017 Alabama beat Clemson by 18
In 2018 Clemson beat Notre Dame by 27 and then Clemson beat Alabama by 38
In 2019 LSU beat Oklahoma by 35 and LSU beat Clemson by 17
In 2020 Alabama beat ND by 17 and OSU beat Clemson by 21 then Alabama beat OSU by 28
In 2021 Alabama beat Cincy by 21 and Georgia beat Michigan by 23 then Georgia beat Alabama by 15
In 2022 Georgia beat TCU by 58 in the championship
In 2023 Michigan beat Washington by 21 points in the championship

How is this year any different than the previous years? Expanding to 12 teams did not water down the product. There have always been blowouts. It's football and teams sometimes can get their souls taken and quit. It is the beauty of football.

On ride home local radio go predicted it would've been Oregon, Penn State, Georgia and Texas. If you can’t find relief that Ohio State and Notre Dame is involved you don’t care about college football with an unbiased lens. Just my opinion.

Agree tweaking will occur and we will love it. The great teams tend to grow as the year progresses. Great coaching and great players lend to the progression. The arguing about the teams beyond the 8th best is pointless. We are all being rewarded with what we deserve. Settle the championship on the field. Hoping that recency bias isnt making me fall for Ohio State being the runaway shoe in for champ. Texas has the players but Im afraid some may be on the bench. Good Luck all!

It's now official. Big10 went 5-1 vs SEC post season. OSU and ND are a combined 4-0 vs SEC. All the Indiana haters that say they didn't belong can now see their only 2 losses were on the road to the final 2 teams.

None of the 4 semifinal teams would have even played for the BCS championship when they were taking two teams. That would have been Georgia vs Oregon.

I think that in and of itself sort makes this a better system. It isn't perfect but it is the best we have had so far.
Agreed

Exactly.

Thanks for typing this out.

Playoff has gotten the two best teams there.

Is this season a down year? Sure.

Do we need tweaks? Absolutely.

Solid start though.

A lot of opt outs. Ward of Miami Fla would've played if in CFP. Georgia wasn't even the best team in their own state and Ga. Tech had opt outs lol.
Ward played until he got his record.

They gave up 40+ points.

Worst defense of any top 50 team in the country.

Acc was bad.

Nothing like a hot take from a sauced up 19 year old just after closing time.

SEC is a fraud cause Tennessee got whipped by Ohio State. Also, Indiana world beaters cause they only got whipped by OSU and Notre Dame.

Didn't Texas suck balls for most of the 80s and 90s. I don't ever remember even thinking about Texas as a kid and I certainly don't remember anyone giving a shit about the red river shootout. Nebraska vs OU was the big game.

Day after Turkey Day when I was young a few special ones ..

The SECDS is as widespread as TDS.

Georgia, Alabama and Texas are sitting home during the championship.

I thought I was the one happy about it.

However, the SEC is living rent free in the heads of more people around the country than I could’ve ever imagined.

I can’t wait to see how the next 10 years play out. When your biggest threat makes mistakes you sit back and observe in silence, you don’t poke the bear.

Humility…… = Motivation

Going to be interesting.

The money is up north (obviously a Tamu and Texas can easily compete on that level).

Let's see how things evolve with NIL, revenue sharing and whatnot.

Things will settle a bit.

Interesting times, no doubt.

All of the above is true.
However, never underestimate the power of pussy. Football isn’t the only thing the SEC dominates. Clit for clit and 10 for 10 you aint finding a conference with more thoroughbreds. I’m sure Indiana is the new upcoming poon factory as well though.

Facts!

I think Texas was in the SWAC or something like that when we were that age. NU and Oklahoma would bring so many players to games that there were 2 players wearing the same number back then.
