Regular season performance has often not been a precursor of things in these bowls. There is plenty to like about Stanford, but don't forget about games like against Wash St and Cal (both with Costello at QB which people prefer). Love not 100%, sure, he makes a big difference just because they rely on him. I'm just saying, they aren't beyond some poor showings. Guessing if you will get the team in these bowls that plays to or above their potential or below their potential is impossible though.
