Playing LAA/Balt over 9.5 with McClelland behind the plate and gas can Liz on the hill. Figure the O's to be able to help the cause enough here against Garland. Also like Bost/Nyy under 9 -05. Both Pettitte 17-4 under in his starts this year and Wakefield in very good recent form.

The Mets have not conceded more than 3 runs over the 1st 8 innings of their last 12 home games.

Mets RF Ryan Church (post-concussion syndrome) was cleared to begin light conditioning work but is not expected back before Thursday’s trade deadline.

The Cardinals have lost a season high 5 straight games, during which time they have not scored more than 3 runs, also a season high streak (for offensive futility).

Philadelphia/Atlanta
Philadelphia has dropped their last 4 home games vs divisional opponents.

San Francisco/Arizona
The Giants continue to battle the Mariners for the worst home record in the majors. They're overjoyed Seattle is presently on the road, so they can take sole lead in said stakes during this series with Arizona, starting off on the right foot Friday with an 8 run loss.

Arizona is finally back at .500, & the NL West has a division leader without a losing record - check the White House, the Vatican, and Buckingham Palace for aliens.

Toronto/Seattle

Boston/New York
Manny Ramirez was scratched from Friday's lineup with a sore right knee and missed his second straight game. He is hitting .487 during his current 11-game hitting streak.

Dustin Pedroia has a hit in safely in 9 straight games, and in 26 of his last 27 games overall.

I took Baker. Twins in night games 40-29. Indians 34-37. Carmona went 5 and 4 innings in his minor league rehabs. Not sure if that Indian pen can hold together if they have to pitch 4 innings tomorrow. Bottom line with a tremendous early edge Cleveland won by 1 run Friday. Not very similar to those romps they had with Tampa. And the WS gained another game on Minn.
 
I believe a lot of people are seeing Banks right now. I see a stat. Padres 3-17 last 20 vs a right-hander.

Very good point there on Carmona's ability to go deep in the game, and then you have that terrible bullpen come into play. Baker has nice history L4 starts vs. Cleveland as well.

Usually paid out before.... I think 1st5 can really hold some value, but you must be selective. Hit up the Angels & Yankees yesterday. A's-.5 1st5 is -130, looks like a nice play for today.


Couple bad beats for me yesterday- Tigers, Indians rl, Mariners (to me the worst of all with Ichiro dropping the game ending out). One of these don't happen & I come out with a positive day but nooooo a 3 unit loss. Can't help but feel like I capped the games well, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Still desire helps a lot but idiot manager used some of their best relivers yesterday. Hope for more input on the Baltimore play.

Garland has an opp ba of .303 on the road. Public has short term memory....off a solid outing vs Boston, but last road start @ Oakland he was rocked. Liz has terrible numbers, yet the O's are 6-3 in his last 9 starts & 3-1 in his home starts. Halos put up a bunch early, but were outscored 5-1 from the 3rd inning on. Last time the O's faced him they had just 3 hits in 8ip, a bit of revenge the second time around?

SD also rarely wins 2 games straight and who knows the last series they won or split( @ Zona) . I think the trade does have alot to do with it along with JVB .

L38 SD games consecutive wins twice. Just 11-27 in that span which started with consecutive wins .

JVB hasnt shown the ability to go deep in games and minus Capps and Marte the pen is very thin with Yates probably the closer. Only Grabow is reliable in middle relief ....

Hard to see much value in either and tmrw is almost a coin flip with Peavy vs Maholm .

SD is also 7-24 in Game 3s....

You just wonder if Pitt now feels there season is worthless......

Really tough to figure IMO might lean SD depending on lineups.

Not much interests me here ....

If you think SD is poor vs RHSP check the Nats

1-15 L16 away since defeating Micah Owings . Which doesnt include a WIN vs Dickey who like Wake I simply consider a knuckerballer not a RHP .
