Opening Week Impressions...

The Truth Is Out There
Similar to the good old but now defunct 'What have we learned' thread from the Sunday forum.

Fire away with your thoughts.

Cavs the most complete team in the league, wish I'd got on their season win total BIG.

Quietly impressed by the Lakers, Kobe fucked up their growth last season. Now they can actually play ball.

Huge Embiid fan, hope he stays a Sixer. Dude legit with a high fucking ceiling.

Blake Griffin looked solid, that time off has done him well. Clips up there in the West, looked nice.

Spurs system doesn't break, parts interchangeable.

AD is a beast, dude makes you shit yourself if you're on the other team and need a cover. His jumper is clean.

Will add more thoughts after MNF when I've got more time.

Hofford stretches the floor for the Celtics, good pick up..I can't name one bench player on the Knicks?

Think betting the NBA's going to be a little tricky this year between the growing trend of resting players for apparently no reason (a week in, and we've already seen Brook Lopez and LaMarcus Aldridge get nights off) and the whack of player movement that's likely to happen between now and the trade deadline (Lopez, Cousins, Rubio, Noel, Aldridge, etc...)

Too early to tell with regards to individual teams, although it seems like the Warriors are content to just coast because, on most nights, that'll be good enough. And the Hawks won't be as bad I originally had thought.

As for individual players, Giannis Antekounempo (I promised myself I wouldn't Google the spelling, so that's the best I can do) looks like he's on the cusp of joining the NBA's elite - too bad he plays in that black hole known as Milwaukee. And Russell Westbrook looks like a man on a mission through the first three games.

I feel like the coaching moves this offseason have vastly improved teams. Sacramento, Indy, even Houston (so far)

Dwight looks like a different person in Atlanta. Can no longer be a selfish dick under bud

Very shitty first week for me. Hopefully things become more clear after this week

The mayor's team is a full buy-in and the Bulls should see little resistance towards a 50 win season.

Rose was a terrible fit offensively and Noah is worthless at this point in his career. Robin Lopez's +/- for wins throughout his career has to be insane. He's a very, very, good player and a huge upgrade over Noah. Bench is stacked and deep, too.

Wonder if they become buyers to add a piece to push Cleveland. They certainly have the pieces defensively still to bother the sawft Cavs.
