Opening Night NBA Plays...

The Truth Is Out There
2014: 94-69-1 (+33.8)

2015: 106-87-2 (+33.47)

Have achieved 30+ units the last 2 seasons running my 'hybrid system'.

Spits out more faves than dogs but it is what it is.

Could achieve a higher profit but have got a little reckless with the bankroll during the playoffs.

Most plays to win 2 or 3 units, 6 units being my biggest 'risk'.

Aiming for 50+ this season.

No brainer to open the 2016/17 season...

San Antonio Spurs at Golden State Warriors

The play...

Warriors
-8.5 -114 (3 to win 2.6)

:shake2:

Danny Green probably out for the Spurs, big absence given his defensive ability.

Looking more and more like a 15+ Dubs win.

The gold standard...

Spurs could be dysfunctional to start the season with all the trouble surrounding Aldridge. Plus, that McCaw kid for the Warriors looks like a good one, so there won't be much let up even when the bench comes in.

Good luck this season emkee.

:cheers3:

Get it em. Hope you crush that 50+ unit goal. :shake:

And is there any other team besides the Warriors and Cavs that have a shot at the finals? I think we see a third straight finals with the dubs taking it this year.

Thanks Hugh.

Spurs also gonna miss Timmay under the rim, Pau so soft.

Thanks Cog.

Nope. Dubs v Cavs it is. Spurs and Clippers will be there fighting to see who plays GS in the CF's.

Thunder is a legit smokey though.

Out East I like the C's as the 2nd best team, Pacers a legit smokey.

For this game...

ELO has -11, my line is -10.

Dubs have torn it up in openers the last 4 years, winning by an average of 17+.

Thanks fellas.

Surprised this spread isn't going up.

Dubs are a massive matchup problem for the Spurs tonight minus Danny Green.

34 year-old Parker is gonna have to guard Curry, Klay or KD - good luck with that Frenchie.

Who's Pops gonna have at the 2, an almost 40 year-old Manu ?

Yeah, the Dubs rim game appears weak with Zaza and McGee,

But the margin for error is so high with this team because the talent level is nuts.

Welcome to small ball hell San Antonio and the rest of the league for that matter.

And I always welcome resistance to the line, would rather the steam go against me than with me the majority of the time.

We shall see, I guess.

As for chemistry issues, there is none at least for now.

KD slots into the Golden State offense like he was meant to be there.

He basically takes Barnes old spot and obviously enhances it x100.

This is for the most part an unguardable line-up.

Sum(W@team and season and playoffs = 1)[team and season -1 and playoffs = 1] in [13 , 14 , 15] and game number = 1 and H
SU:8-1 (9.67, 88.9%)
ATS:7-2-0 (4.39, 77.8%)

NBA finals loser are 7-2 ATS in game 1 if they didn't get swept in previous finals . they win by avg of 10 pts

Guessing the Spurs starting-5 to be...

Parker - Anderson - Gasol - Leonard - Aldridge.

Basically Kawhi and 4 dudes that can't play defense.

Pops has his work cut out for him this season, Timmay's on-court/off-court influence gonna be missed immensely.

Have to think that had a lot more to do with Pop than Duncan. Duncan led by example but this team shouldn't skip too much a beat. Gasol is an upgrade vs. Timmy last season...

Hate Aldridge/Pau combo, however.

Thought this line would open up much higher. But hard to see how the Spurs hang unless the Warriors continue to have problems getting their new 5's in the flow on offense. So far it's been a work in progress. Bogut was very skilled.

Disagree, Spek.

Gasol is not an upgrade over Timmay, especially defensively. Will be very interesting how LA and Pau mesh.

Timmay kept Aldridge in-check for the most part.

Bogut is skilled and the downgrade is big. Zaza gonna need time but as said above, the Dubs have a larger margin of error than most.

Should force Kerr to go small more often, no team in the league can compete with the Dubs when they go small.

KD made sure of that when he left OKC who managed to put together the only line-up tweak that could counter it in last seasons WCF's.

I'm with you. Let's get it. Will be watching this system closely

P...

:cheers3:

The 'system' has always worked.

'Hybrid' is basically combining the old with the new,

The new is numbers based with forecasted simulations, projecting line-up outputs etc.

The old is situational, eye test, good old fashioned 'feeling out', yada yada yada.

Old worked for me just fine, new just makes it more sexier. At least I think it does.

Basically Voltron shit when combined. Um, yeah.

Dead wrong tonight. Gonna happen.

Pops had 'em ready, Kerr not so much.

No team has won the NBA Championship having lost the opening game of the season by 20+.

Got a few for tomorrow.

Did you catch the part wher KD was walking to the bench and Curry kept saying, "don' worry about this game, we got this season"

Yep. Just one game. Sucks to lose but I have no doubt come May/June they'll be in the Western Conf Finals. Probably playing these same Spurs.
