They are loaded. They are so great, with 3 potential hall of famers. The team might go 82 - 0 .. :blahblah:

Not so fast my friends.

Give me the Raptors (-1) and make it to win 2 units

HAHAHA I love it.

My sentiments exactly. Good luck tonight abcs :shake: let's cash this one first

Like the pick abcs. Just one question. What's the 105.65 units goal all about. I've heard of 100 goal units before but I'm just curious about the .65. I only ask because it'll bother me all season if I don't and if it's something personal then you can just tell me to mind my own business as well. :)

Thats what BAR had last year. No way i come anywhere near that. Just did it as a joke.

I just smell let down. Huge first game at home the place was rocking goin crazy , they blow out a horrid washington team. Now they play my pick to win the east, in an early start.

Maybe they are better than the bulls..anyway i didnt watch this game

Congrats c backers

Boston is an impressive fucking team. Garnett is a man among boys out there, he made Bosh look like a little boy. Different level than Toronto.

they surely looked like pussies after squandering a 10 point lead in SUCH a game (poor shooting) within a couple of minutes. But hey, they deserved to take this one. Jesus was an absolute beast tonight.

Killa, they won it fair and square, but come on. 12 points in the 4th. TWELVE.

And I hate it how people are judging this Toronto team after 1 loss. What about that blowout win in NJ? How about last year's 30-11 home record? Basically the same team as this one. 1 bad game and it's all down the drain?

I'm not talking about you but some people were saying that in the live section. I don't buy it. Long term, not much has changed after this game. Toronto is still solid in my book, Boston is on their way up BIG time but they need to show it on the court. Two games don't do it for me, sorry.

How about the Hawks abcs?? Surprised to not see another ML, this team is flying high. I lean Hawks, but I just took the over since I figure it has to go over if they win, and can still come through if they don't cover.

Toronto is solid. I just think as the season goes on, it will be proven that Boston and Toronto are on different levels.

I am too busy watchin the refs steal my money in the rca dome to think about the hawks. :hairout:

Decent day though so far .. 1 - 1(football) Up like 10 bucks

Oh by the way I still think the Raptors are the better "TEAM".

I didnt watch the game until Overtime.. then League Pass blacked out, so its hard to comment.

going 12 deep for the most part will of course help them over an 82 game schedule

Before today Delino was only Rap averaging more than 30 minutes in the first 2 games

Yea, its fine.. hard not to have a knee jerk reaction still like 79 games left. Still not sold on the celtics. Maybe if Doc Rivers was coaching I would have won that bet..

Hawks are dominating BAR's boys, this is beautiful. Had to switch rip off joe, because he was getting abused.

This should be the typical oh the refs hate me.. i never foul.. techinical on sheed

Shitting on the guy on the day his father dies-classy as always bro.

Hope I don't offend anyone here--and the Toronto pick was fine--but some of you guys almost seem so afraid to be square that I feel like you are knocking the Celtics just to not agree with the public.

The problem is, they are going to be real, real hard to beat because even when one of the big 3 sucks, another one will take over. Go ahead and fade the C's when they are favored by 10...but I think you guys are nutso if you think Toronto is the better team by far when they just lost at home to Boston...

Dude it wasn't a shot at his father or him.. just as him as a coach. Im not sold on yall just yet. I just liked the raps because they were at home and I figured it would take a while for the c's to gel. Nothing else good win

I am counting out the Raptors, and I am on the Celtics bandwagon after today's game. Yes, all because of one game.

Part of the success of the Raptors last year was catching other teams off guard, just like the Hawks started to do last year as well. Oh, we are playing the Raptors, we'll take it easy. This is especially true when teams had to go up to Canada.

Today's game was ugly, but not just because of poor shooting. The plays Toronto ran were terrible for the most part. I think they dissapoint this year, and they will have a tough time winning a 7 game series, unless they get a very favorable matchup in the first round, which will be hard since they won't have a top seed.

Celtics on the other hand are impressive. Posey came up clutch today, and Rondo and Perkins have been pretty solid as well. The rest of the bench needs some work, but there is still time for them to improve.

I think some people are forgetting how good Pierce and Allen are since they have had shitty teams, and Allen was overshadowed by the powerhour Western Conference. Paul Pierce can score at will now that he has players that attract attention away from him. Ray Allen is also doing great now that he is the third(wow) option on the team, so he is getting lots of open looks. Forget about KG, he is going to dominate the East so badly this year, and it is early, but maybe even win the MVP award.

They got a little lazy today, letting the Raptors get back into the game, but even though the Raptors played pretty well at the end of the game, scoring when they needed, the Celtics always were in control. They have 3 guys that are all capable of taking the last shot of the game, and like someone else already said, they can afford to have one, or even 2 of the big 3 have off nights.

It is very early, but the Celtics are for real, and are definitely one of the top teams in the East. Raptors are not at the same level as them/pistons. They may be in the race since the East is looking pretty weak so far, but I think the Bulls and Nets and those guys will start to get it together by the end of the season, because they have been there before. Raptors still have to prove themselves IMO.

Raptors are still not at full strength. Garbo is still mending and Bosh still doesnt have confidence in his foot yet.

Raptors will be fine, its just going to take some time to get a stable rotation together.

Mark my words Celts are going to have problems closing out games. The last minute of the game with KG running point aint going to cut it.

ok ill admit i didnt watch the c's-raps game today, but after skimmingn through this post i've seen some crazy posts. first of all the c's will be a dominate team in the east. i say this after watching their preseason games and their first game vs. wash. i just get the feeling that kg has this team where they need to be early in the year and they will continue to be solid down the line. next, i dont know who's saying that toronto is bad, (i missed the ingame ) but that is rediculous. as far as im concerned, which might not mean anything to you guys, toronto is a top 4 team in the east. yes they lost a tough home game vs. the c's, but does that make them bad? lets not go over our heads here, toronto's a solid team. im not a huge nba follower but from what i read here, people are getting losing it over one simple game. let the season play itself out before we jump to major conclusions.

Nah I'm not afraid to be square. After all last year my picks were known as "intelligent square plays" :D

I'm capping each game individually, and I wanted to lay 1.5 with this Toronto team (30-11 last year, pretty similar team now, more mature I reckon) against a newly formed team, which has the potential to be great but cannot fall in that category just yet.

That's why I took the play. But I congratulated Boston backers in this one, they won it, I didn't. That's the bottom line.

Enlightened square plays to be exact, Satyr.

Nice discussion, looks like this NBA season will be a good one.

No problem but you'll be sold on us soon enough. Forget the Big 3 ability to score but the defense is what will ultimately carry us to one of the top seeds in the east.

C'mon guys

The Big 3 in the first game played about 38 minutes each...I would like to see that number get under 35 if possible...but lets not act like the OT game was normal-hopefully the C's won't be playing OT games every other day...
