NBA Week 3 11/12-18

lifesallover

Pretty much a regular
YTD 10-5

One play, and not that confident of one, so a small wager at that.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Denver Nuggets 1st Half -4 (.5 Unit)
Everyone is Denver, of the two boards I post on, I haven't seen a wager placed on the Cavs, more times then not, that is a recipe for disaster. Situationally, this a horrible spot for the Cavs, and the Nuggets are rested, in mile high air. But with everyone and their mothers on the Nuggets, I'll be staying off the full game, and playing only their 1st half. Nuggets don't play a lick of defense, but I don't believe the Cavs have the scorers to make them pay. Lebron will go off, in another LBJ/Melo faceoff, I think the Gibson/AI battle could be a fun one as well, of course this game is not on TV for me, so I won't be able to enjoy it. I wish everyone luck who's on the nuggets tonight, I just worry about games like these when everyone is one the same side, as great a minds as we are, their is something to be said about these ratio's.

BOL tonight everyone:cheers:

Thanks Ray. Small wager, but a win is a win. Record moves up to 11-5 YTD. Congrats everyone, and it looks like the Nuggets are well on pace to cover the full -8 spread.

Nice work man. I typically look at wagerline if I'm worried about everybody being on one side or another. I looked this evening before tipoff and 54% of the people were on Denver and 46% were on Cleveland. Certainly in a normal range and considering the line moved 2 points it was well below the % you should expect. Lots of big money moved this one to -8. Just how I look at the %'s. Again nice win.

That's a good point, and I checked out wagerline and sportsbook, and both had around 51-54% on Denver, but I've seen on more then a few occasions in CFB this past year where it shook out the same way, and everyone on the boards were on the same side, and got wiped out. I'm not saying it always happens, but it's something that is always in the back of my head when I feel a line is maybe too good to be true. Luckily for all Nugget backers that wasn't the case tonight. I appreciate the opinion though, and congrats on your plays tonight.

Houston Rockets @Memphis Grizzlies +7 (1Unit)

No write up today, I think Memphis matches up well with the Rockets, should be a close game, memphis is better then their record indicates, BOL everyone.

Should've laid off the Blazer game, should've had more faith. but 1-1 night, but one the bigger bet, so all is well. Congrats to all Blazer backers who now sit 6-1ATS!:tiphat: 12-6 YTD

Sigh... I just had a big write up, only to close the tab, it's late, and now I'm irritated. inshort..

Portland +2.5 @ Philly edit:1unit
Blazers are a better team, bounce back effort for them, should win this game.

Wizards -3 @ Minnesota edit:1 unit
Minnesota got their first victory, I don't see a b2b performance, Wizards look like they may be starting to click. Jefferson will destroy the Wiz inside, but I don't think it'll be enough

Also looking at NOH/MEM Over, Knicks +3 @Sac, Utah-1@ Clev. Goodnight.

rod_steel thanks, you the same. Watching this Blazer/6er game, Blazers are beating up on the 6ers right now, they should be up more. Will probably be making a play on the blazers in the 2nd half

Maybe it's chasing, but Portland fucked up, Washington appears to be doing everything possiblke to fuck up, im bored and what some late actio, soooo, knicks+3

Cap locks go stuck, so in short, shitty night, toough being on the side of the blazers and knicks. Who fouls with 2 seconds left on a two possession game, horseshit, but we prevail, haha. 1-2 on the night. 13-8ytd

Thats why we call it the NBGay (and whoever doesnt, should)- it'll fuck your asshole every so often. Still a nice start to the season, life:shake:

BC no doubt about it, I got poked last night.
tonight card
Chicago Bulls -2 @ LA Clippers (.5unit)
Clippers are banged up, Chicago should be able to pick a number, but we'll see. Deng doubtful, took clippers +3 for .5

Miami Heat -4 @ NJ Nets (1 Unit)
Philly got the tip. Pure tail here, what has miami done to lay 4 on the road to a decent Nets team. Wade played heavy minutes last night on a back2back, how will he respond tonight, how will the rest of an old miami team who just gave the celtics their best game this year. But Phillys tips have hit at a nice rate in recent history.

Phoenix Suns -6 @ Houston Rockets (1 Unit)
Well, all three games laying road chalk. Day two w/o TMac after a hard fought game against the spurs, I don't see Scola having back2back stellar performances, Suns should run with this one, but who knows, Bonzi will probably go 12-15

ML Parlay:Wash/Char/Mil/Pho/Chicago .5unit to win 2units

For what it's worth, I just watched Nate McMillans press conference after the game, and I've never seen him as dejected as he looked. If he is down about it and he's a stoic dude, Blazers must be destroyed right row. I don't know if the Blazers will show up tonight against the wizards, this could be an ugly game.

2-0-1 today, plus a nice ML Parlay. Overall nice bounce back from the night before, and considering I sheepishly tailed Philly on miami, I still pushed and am happy with that. 15-8-1 YTD 2-0 ML Parlays.

So for on Golden State @ Toronto Raptors -5.5 (1 Unit)
Golden State is either a good team that is still trying to gel(factor Jackson), or not that good of a team who is over valued and overrated because of last seasons run. I'm torn, I know Jackson is worthy a lot to them, but I originally figured they'd falter, so I don't know. But I know Toronto at home on sunday morning is brtual for opposing teams, and I'll be running with that theme early on.

Raptors collapsed in the 4th quarter, nice to see. Last play for the day Magic+3 and Under 187.5

Glad to see defense was optional in the Bos/Orl game, oh well, still have to worry about Orlando finishing this game though. 4 minute dry spell would be lovely though.
