At 1st glance -

Det ML - Throwing Jackson vs them could spell trouble and coming to town after a Night Game @ Texas . Galarraga best in day starts but has been quality most of the time regardless ...

Balt ML- They fought hard today and almost pulled it out . WS home had to avoid the sweep and barely pulled it out in 10 innings to my delight . With the total I'll go OVER 115 runs oh even better its just 11.5 ..

Myers' last two starts at home although vs inferior competition are attn getters.

Meche at home near pick?

The first two I look at tommorow..

First Glance:

I get +200 to back Moehler against Pelfrey? uhh ok

ChiSox/O's might make it to 20. 12-8 someone.

..

Texas looking to get swept at home on Sunday night, get into KC very late Monday morning and face this:

I was looking forward to playing the under in San Diego until they came out with the ridiculous 6.5. Fuckers.

Meche
Baltimore Over
Philadelphia under
Seattle

I logged in, saw KC -120, bet it, but the line had already moved to 131 before I could confirm the bet...fuckers...

After tonight's fiasco I placed myself in a nice position and have a good chunk of work to do. The negative factor of playing small is when you win it doesnt feel like much and then when you hit a bump its a kick in the balls....I dont mind losing and being wrong but to lose BOTH Texas and LAD like that .....I deserve it cause they were marginal plays but I decided to bang them out....always poor decisions..

So looking at these games already for Monday and well just want to get my thoughts down because I doubt I spend much time on it tmrw . The more I talk about this shit the more my ideas start changing usually a negative for me....

Houston @ NYM: I understand the interest in the Astros but if your doing because you think Moehler can outpitch Pelfrey that seems rather unlikely to me. Pelfrey has 13 home starts and 10 of rather high quality . In the poor outings 2 where vs FLA his arch nemesis. The other vs ATL another divisional team he has issues with but back in April.

9inn 3h 3r
6.2inn 9h 2r
7inn 7h 1 r
8inn 6h 0 r
7inn 3h 0r
8 inn 5 h 1 r
7inn 7h 2 r
7.2inn 3h 1 r
6inn 8h 2 r
7inn 5h 0r
5inn 5h 2 r

Thats 14 runs in 10 starts. With 78.1 Inn pitched only 61 H 15bb 49K. Skip the 1st start of 08 then he went less then 7 just twice including 6.2 inn..

L2 starts 16inn 10h 3 r 3bb 4k

Huge negative is the Mets inabilty to win on Monday's lately going 2-10 L12 . I ignored that when pedro faced Duke and while he pitched well the Mets found away (there pen) to lose it and extend the trend. Neither really pen was taxed today only Sampson went 2 innings

Noehler is off 2 unimpressive starts both HOU wins . He slayed MILW and Sheets last time out (can he win twice as $2 dollar dog?? in 7 days) . Very hittable though 5.2 inn 9h 2r 1 er 1bb 4k which followed 5.1 inn 8h 4 r 0bb 1k .

Moehler is 14-0 UNDER @ NIGHT . He gets the extra days rest which has been where his stats are best....Though Fairchild seems to be an over ump and a tight zone for Moehler could be costly as compared to Pelfrey who can bring it at 94-96 somedays

Mets pen we know about but Pelfrey went at least 7 inn in 7 of his past 10 starts and 6.2 in the other while the other less effective starts were vs Fla.

With Houston sweeping NY and winning 2 of 3 think NY puts huge emphasis on winning here . You simply dont want to have HOU sweep you at there place and then come to your house and take 3 of 4 in the midst of a pennant race . When they wake up Philly will have won AGAIN. Is simply willing themselves enough to play NYM ?? Nope . If there is interest in HOU would look more at the +1.5 RL...Also this is the same price as Maine v Backe which I had Hous because thought the price was insane but this matchup is about right IMO based on how they have lined the 2...

WSox @ Balt :

Basically two young but struggling LHs . Balt lost a tough one today while WS pulled out one they couldnt afford to lose. The WS pen is scary bad lately blwoing the game each of the past 3 days...WS are only 4-8 away L12 vs LHSP(and now chalk) and 11-11 L22 and 12-20 L32 away. Waters suprised LAA and since has been struggling badly . Richard had a solid start vs SEA last time out but is a work in progress . M's although greatly improved lately vs LHP have a poor road track record vs them.....

Balt ML - Over ? Of note they have to finish the 3-3 suspended game so thatwill tax the pens further....if I was CHI I would go for the cheap win in the tie game and let the real game take care of itself...with a walkoff win CHI in good position for the 3-3 game as momentum should be on there side...

Some ML's of interest :
Det : Look at the 1st 5 over and home team as CLE has to fly out after stealing another in Texas has swept consecutive series now . Zach Jackson was solid last outing but it was KC and this is his 08 road debut . Det finally started playing better this trip going 4-2 losing both sweep games. problem is they have lost to the past 3 LH at home and 6 of 8 LH at home ....Also 4th time they see Galarraga...maybe an over as well ...

Cubs ML- Limited to a parlay or RL if deemed approriate . Pitt of a tough loss . If they couldnt win with some of the spots they had Sunday how are they ? Karstens defeated CHI @ Wrigley think its gonna be tough to duplicate . Pitt pen worked some bewteen extra innings and struggling SPs. Have to see more of Lilly vs Pitts remaining hitters ...

Karstens 4 starts he has 6 runs of support (5 in wins) and allowed 9 runs (all 9 in losses)......UND ? Lilly has gone at least 6 in 9 of 10 and onl twice allowed more then 3 runs coming off a tough 2-1 loss @ Cincy and solid work vs Pitt at home early AUG....

Can LAD bounce back ?? Cant back that bullpen...so maybe 1st 5 UNDER 4.5 with these 2 SP?

SD ML : Peavy at home as a home pup off a sweep to lowly SFG...buy LOW ...??UND 6.5 actually looks attractive...Same matchup just happened @ Zona with peavy andHaren struggling both in bounce back mode ..??

Out West...

At 1st I thought Liriano looks good even at 2 to 1 . Then I looked and realized his best work was at home vs SEA and CLE 2 teams who are near the bottom on the road vs LHSP in production. Batista is a great mystery for sure and his last start was vs Minny and poor but he wa solid in 2 away starts before that. Liriano struggled vs the A's last time out lasting 5 inings and reaching the century mark in pitches . Even at KC he tired after the 5th inning and Twins middle relief on the road is an issue .

SEA is suddenly hitting vs LHSP and a quick glimpse shows this...L19 games SEA allowed at least 5 runs in 16 of them , they are 13-1-1 L15 vs twins which is since 07 and 15-1-1 Over since the last und in late 06. H2H is 22-5-1 OVER L27 meetings..SEA is 23-12-1 Over since the break...Batista = man of mystery ....

Over 8.5 and maybe SEA ML or +1.5

With Cain dealling and although Francis struggled last outing SF still shaky vs LHSP.....have to think UNDER maybe COL .....think 40 career inn at home vs COL he allowed just 6 runs.......think just 22 hits......reason I lean COL is early on the year SF was -120 facing Morales and really see that as fair for here nothing higher ...SF W5 straight off a rare sweep and is 6-14 in series openers off a WIN . In 6 July starts only 8 runs of support for Cain and 20 in 4 since.

Possibly an over @ LAA ..have to check LAA recently vs LHSP but Braden has been solid ...LAA is clearly struggling of late can Braden hold themin check ? No way I take LAA here but not sure I want to fuck with OAK....

Think teedub beat me to KC ML so I will say I agree ....Some concerns Meche 2-8 L10 starts vs texas but KC has soem payback after blowing a few games last time they were in town....Feldman is tough luck city only 6-14 when he starts losing his last 2 high quality home starts but last road outing the massacre at Fenway ...dont trust the TEX pen obviously but maybe an under ? Rangers only 3-15 L18 and 1-10 vs RHSP.....Feldman lost his 1st 4 away then Texas won his L4 away before the Boston TEE OFF party...MEche since the break allowed 2 runs or less in 6 of 7 while going at least 6 innings in each...

:cheers:GL

Mets in a home game off losing their previous 2 home games have scored 6, 3, 5, 8 & 7 run totals this season (all but a 6 run avg).

Mets in a home game off their last 7 home losses have scored 6, 9, 5, 5, 7 & 4 run totals (avg of exactly 6 runs).

Houston is O/U 10-3 their last 13 road games vs righty starters, and have scored at least 4 runs in 10 of their last 12 road games vs righty starters.

Sounds good was thinking this is a good spot for Moehler's 14-0 UNDER run to come to an end. Alot of blame hs to fall on the Mets hitters for falling asleep today. So an ump who has a tight zone with an opposing SP who has marginal stuff , facing a lineup that should be looking to jump out early ....seems like a good recipe in theory:cheers:

imo cleveland is a live dog

Agreed. The Tribe is quietly playing great baseball now that the pressure is gone. It doesn't matter to the casual baseball fan but it's a big deal for gamblers. The Tribe made a lot of money for their backers over the last week. The Tigers have quit and I like Galarraga a lot but there is simply no reason they should be greater than -150 based on how both teams are playing regardless of who is on the mound.

The Astros are live as well. They are 5-1 against New York, why are they dogged this big when the Mets have this comical bullpen? Hell, the Astros won yesterday without Berkman and a with a very pedestrian lineup.Pelfrey is very strong at home but I see no reason to believe that Moehler will get hammered by the Mets tomorrow. Perhaps this is a spot to consider an UNDER.

There's a good chance I won't play either since I like Galarraga and I like Pelfrey at home, however the price on both games is outrageous due to other factors.

Cle is hot but are they playing well or playing cold teams ? L3 LAA , KC and Texas..They squeaked by the LAA when they won , they faced Bannister and Hovechar I believe in KC when meche pitched they had 3 hits but 2 Hrs , Texas through Harrison , MCarthy and Padilla battling an injury ....

There are definetly some negatives to playing DET like they fact they lost 6 of 8 at home to LHSP. Dont know where you get DET quit they just took 4 of 6 losing the sweep games . Fiven CLE away record and Det's home record with 2 dead even SP would expect DET to be about -135 maybe -140...tack on because its Galarraga another 40 cents or so and subtract 20 or 30 cents because its Jackson low 200s seem right game would be about -130 or so @ CLE .....

This game comes down to Zach Jackson if they smoke him early iys high likely DET runs away with it . Think CLE has a couple of gift type wins past2 days and its more liekly they get a LOSS here then continue there streak. Also Lee on deck vs a ML rookie ...Det 16-6 when Galarraga starts,,,cle 20-30 in division

As for Houston does anyone realize they are below 500 away missing 2 key pkayers on top of that..Mets +16 at home while Houston -3 away in the win column. NY is 18-6 at home wuth 8 or 8.5 totals as well.....Mets beat themselves on sunday ...they won vs Maine who isnt healthy enough to pitch but is because the team is desperate and they had a few timely hits off Perez and then 2 solo Hrs but mashers Ausmus and Erstad ....Pelfrey is basically giving 7 inn maybe 8 inn and 3 runs or less everytime out ...whats Moehler avg 6inn 3 runs ??

Tough calls but dont see value in fadin the chalk even if its doesnt warrant a paly on it...

GL all.....

Covers is listing Oliver unavailable for Anaheim which is probably true and shows Francisco Rodriquez available which surprises me. If he pitches today that will be 5 days out of the last 6 as well as 3 in a row. Devine on 1 days rest and Ziegler on 3 days rest for Oakland. Interesting stat for Oakland. First game of series 25-18 which might surprise for a team 12 games under 500. Just at a fast glance Oakland has won the first game of series at Anaheim 3 out of the last 4 times they have played there including twice this year. Markets opening later.

COLD TEAMS. I've watched every game of their last little 8-3 run, 7 in a row. The offense is too damn inconsistent. They beat Texas last night by doing nothing special at all. Reyes pitched well...I'll give him that...but Texas made him look SO MUCH BETTER than he really is. Their heads were hanging the entire night at the plate. Hamilton would swing like a woman and then hang his head the entire walk back to the dugout. Detriot...another team who has been huge disappointment. Can they exploit Cleveland, sure.

I love the Tribe to death...but they aren't doing anything special but catching opponents in a slump IMO.

Bet Crimes : An interesting ump stat for the Mets game. Fairchild has called 18 overs / 10 unders, in these 28 games 4 of the totals were set at 8.5 & all for went OVER. Fairchilds games average 11.5

In the KC game I am leaning to Texas, Meche has been very solid I know, but for some reason he has trouble with Texas. KC is just 2-8 last 10 that Meche has started vs Texas. Sports Nut, what do you think?

ack meant to say KC/PIT not DET even though i do trust Galarraga so if anything i'd play 1st 5 there

The New York Mets are 12-0 in Pelfrey's last starts against any other team but Florida. During this stretch, Pelfrey has pitched 45.2 innings giving up a mere 7 runs (1.39 ERA) at Shea Stadium leading his team to a 6-0 record.

Pelfrey's last 9 starts at home against teams other than Florida:

66.1 IP, 12 runs allowed

Pelfrey's ERA in the 9 starts is 1.63. He has struck out 42 and walked 11.

Pelfrey has given up only 2 homers in those 9 games and they were solo shots against the San Diego Padres (Kouzmanoff, A. Gonzalez)

In the KC game I am leaning to Texas, Meche has been very solid I know, but for some reason he has trouble with Texas. KC is just 2-8 last 10 that Meche has started vs Texas. Sports Nut, what do you think?

Whats up Cash.

One thing that I think is VERY important is what happens in the suspended game . Granted I dont expect either SP to be crisp but what and who is available in the pen is of interest but more importantly who is playing can be of interest ..Long game maybe some regs rested for WSox . Thats how I would approach it if is I was Ozie get the "cheap" win in the conclusion of the suspended game and try to givemy players a blow with 2 SP edges the next day . There is no doubt that BALT games find a way to go over on most days . Just seems there offense is slowly regressing . Pavano is a key example IMO if someone just throws strikes and doesnt fall behind vs them they can have success which pavano did in his final 3 innings . On the other hand if the game goes long with the already thinned Balt staff you wonder if Waters has to take one for the team so might Richards . Really have to look at who has pitched what the past week and last few days...

RHP Daniel Cabrera was rocked in 3 2/3 innings, but the most glaring stat-line was blank. Cabrera—whose velocity is noticeably down this season—didn’t strike out a batter for the first time since July 25, 2004. He was asked after the game if he was pitching fully healthy and replied with, “I don’t have an answer for that question right now.”

Just to keep this FRESH in our minds . I had mentioned in TeeDubs thread yesterday this was said On SAT during the Yanks postgame but wasnt sure how accurate it was (Kay and Singleton..) . Anyway showed up on Yahoo and definite concern but didnt see the beginning of the Yanks game yesterday to verify exactly what he looks like stuffwise...

With Texas they are in a major funk . Kinsler and Murphy are HUGE LOSSES they have struggled to overcome . Its taken away there leadoff hitter and Murpjy was helping out with his run production in th 5 and 6 slots protecting the bat in front of him as well ...

Murphy was hurt in Game 3 vs NYY and since they are 3-14 with 2 wins coming vs Chris Waters to avoid a road sweep and another and since demoted Nate Robertson also in a sweep game . The other Matt HArrison outpitched Ed Jackson 3-0. Jackson is the oNLY RH they beat in this stretch and blew 2 straight games vs Cle maybe even 3 thanks to pitching ...game 1 vs CLE they battled back from 5-0 to make it 5-4 T9th but allowed 2 only getting 1 back in the bottom half.....game 2 they bust open a 1-1 game with a 6 spot to lead 7-1 to start the 5th and allow 6 right back eventually losing in the 8th I believe when CLE gets a run and yesterday Reyes was very good but as expected CLE pen was thin and when they tied at 3-3 in the b8th they needed a walk or hit from Cattalanotto to take the lead which they didnt get . CLE gets a leadoff single , bunt and single . I know CLE struggles vs LHP but question Guardado usage there with nothing but free swinging power type RHs up . Not sure who else was available but thought why now ? If it was like 9-1-2-3 and you get Sizemore in there okay but Garko , Shoppach , Gutierrez all probably struggle vs LH but its still classic LHP vs power RHP takes just one mistake ...

Tex pen is worn thin it seems ...but have to check that as well ....

KC blew 2 games themselves vs Texas late last time Texas came to town . Meche pitched very well allowing just 1 run in 6 innings. Think KC led 5-1 to start the 8th and LOST , then KC lead 5-1 to start the 7th the next day allowed 7 in the 7th and 3 more in the 9th .....

Texas pitching on the road has been very poor especiallywith PAdilla battling injury and the rotation being juggled often.

@Boston allowed 10,9,18 =37
@ Balt 7,9,9=25
@ Oak 6,4,6=16 (Harrison 4 run start)
@Chi 10,10,1= 21 (Feldman start was 1 run)
@Minny 0, 14 , 6 = 20 (padilla shutout)
@Balt 10,3,10 =23 (Feldman again)
@Yanks 18 ,2 (start of July) = series only 21 runs with the 18 in one game which since then they fell apart...Millwood , the 2 while Feldman the opener had 1 ...

Starting with 18 to NYY they played 19 ROAD games and in only 3 allowed less then 6 runs . The good news I guess is Feldman was involved in 2 of them and 3 if you go back ther elast 21 games..

5-14 in that span 3x allowed 9 runs and 8x allowed 10x(13-6 Over-few misses byu 1/2 run as well)

Feldman outside of Boston held it together on the road for the most part -
6.1 inn 3 runs , 6inn 5runs in consecutive starts , 5 inn vs NYM which is bit misleading as it was 3-1 after 5 then he fell apart in the 6th as did Texas , 4inn 2 r , 6inn 1 r ,6inn3 ,6in 1 r

So if anyone is capable of a solid 6 inn start it appears to be Feldman problem is what the pen does for the final 3 innings ??Though Feldman is 2 runs lower ERA wise in day games

KC problem is offense scoring 4 or less in 14 of 18 since exploding the final 2 game vs WS. Think 11x 3runs or less

If Feldman could hold it together seems like a good spot for an UNDER even IF just 1st 5 inn...

I just pick games were it looks like a trend started which is why I started with the game 3 Yankee game as from that point on I could clearly see a spike in runs allowed..

Meche despite the track record vs TEX did pitch 2 VERY High quality games vs TEXAS as a Royal ..12.1inn9h 4r 3er...home and away but KC did lose both.....

Meche only twice got more then 5 runs of support at home in 2008 ...futher interest in an under.....think Feldman only saw his opponents score more then 5runs away once maybe twice ...

Tex vs RHSP lately which they owned for a time
3 , 5, 3,3,0,0 ,17-knuckeballer though , 1,0 ,0,3 since Murphy went down..

so 1-9 vs RHSP forgot about Zink only scoring more then 3 once and they got 3 in the 8th and 1 in the 9th off Tribe's pen that game.....thats 18 runs in 10 games ..4 shutouts and 1 x 1run ...Garza, Cabrera , DiceK , Moose

last 6 game trip they scored 37 runs in 6 games BUT 32 came in the two vs Zink and Waters(Not yet ready for primetime pitchers to steal a SNL phrase) ...4 came in the 8th vs Boston maybe the 9th vs Lester and Timlin losing 8-0 (ie:garbage time)....which means they scored 1 REAL RUN ? Down 5-0 Travis Metcalf hita solo HR @ Balt vs Guthrie in the 1st game @ Balt ......

Meche dealing even though he was hittable vs NY IMO his velocity was great ...one can live on a well placed 95MPH with movement alone especially if he can 4 or 5 good changeups out .....

Price is about right IMO would have guessed it would be about -130 KC opened cheaper and bet up to -135 now . Only caution is Meche was often a home dog so hate role reversals . Think Texas ha soNLY 7 1 run losses all season away ..Hurley 3x , Millwood 3 x and Feldman 1x....obviously with KC slumping on offense and feldman opposing laying -1.5 may not be wise but the game could also easily be 5-2 or 4-2 .....KC gets 5 runs its high likely they cover -1.5 based on Teaxs struggles to crack 3 runs......

As for my late night comments only discouraged by the change in price in the SEA over to 8.5 -125 almost 9 runs now ...still Liriano and still Safeco at night so 9 is worrisome despite the fact the L15 meetings the OVER went 13-1-1 and 15-1-1 L17 meetings ...or something of that nature......Other leans still hold true
Might be back later -BOL..

Since May ended Hamilton went from the Natural more to the Josh Hamilton we kinda expected in Texas . Bradley has struggled all of AUG with injuries curtailing his awesome production , Young is having a below avg season for him , you lose 2 big bats , Blalock probably has rust to shed...your not left with much ...Chris Davis can hit but is young and proned to inconsistency ...

L19 away for Texas = 160 runs allowed ...doesnt take long to realize thats 8.5 runs per on avg which is obvious when you only 3 times allowed less then 6 ! Still feldman responsible for 2 low scores and 3 of his last 4 were low...

Capped a terrible night with the dodgers losing and looking like the team i am usually accustomed to seeing. The question is now whether to win my money back in this series or let it go. Billingsley on the mound today against Meyers . Thanks to yanks and fondy, i just saw billingsley last week and my immediate thoughts were that this guy is immensely talented but easily rattled. He throws strikes, but does not know what to throw to get his ass out of tough situations. I'm hesitant to take billingsley in a game like this since Phili is trying to return the sweep favor. Meyers is pitching better as of late, but his whip is still pretty high and he is still prone to the long-ball, which is actually a threat now with manny/kemp/blake.

Dodgers did everything they could to win the game last night. Lets face it. They used Kuo, Broxton, Beimel. Today they will have to use Corey, park, and probably a couple other scrubs. It's looking pretty bleak here, imo. Billingsley usually doesnt last past 5-6 recently due to his pc and mental strength. I would have to say that i like the over, but after yesteday's high profile game, could we see a hang over? I hate walking away, but i may have to pass..

Sports Nut: As always thank you for your efforts!

No prob . Like to help my fellow NY'ers...like to be helpful to everyone but you know what I mean.

Also Guardado traded today to Twins , Bradley left injured last night and the knee seems to be a huge issue , they sent down Ellison and broughtup Nelson Cruz who smoked AAA think 37 or 39Hrs but fresh off a DL stint only had 4 games back...clear sign of desperation IMO....

Pen is thin and would think 2 of the better options in long relief are Madrigal and Kameron Loe who should get in the rotation soon...

Also will definetly be on the METS@ -200 now and probably -1.5 as well ...:shake:

Oh last nite is the epitomy of my weakness as a gambler and why I HATE using a bookie rather then an online account where SUNDAY isnt of importance . I lost about everything possible bewteen the night games and NFLX. Of course what I laid off won (Under @ TExas and UNDER 1st H Indy )..no one to blame but me but typical sloppiness and rushed action leads to a waste of 28 units ..mine are very small ..

LAD did everything to win except hit . I knew it was gonna be dicey after they let Blanton off the HOOK in the T1st . Another huge mistake was not adding up the runs before the 8PMs started as I had played the UND 141 runs and was pretty confident it would hit ...think there was 125 runs to that point so to be accurate the games both had to be lwo scoring . yet , I talked myself into the over @ Philly ...

Thats about 4 or 5 games in the past couple trips that LAD has basically lost at the end of the game. Broxton great stuff but terrible closer in 1 run games IMO...Feliz -Dobbs at 3rd base is huge platoon for them with Brunlett in there it often made 7-8-9 spots automatic outs...

To be honest no way I play LAD here . Maybe the bounce back but thats a tough game to comeback from and Myers at home is gonna be tough IMO as he was tough @ LAD. Yesterday LAD had the SP edge with Kuroda and it showed as Philly had 3 or 4 hits till the 9th and LAD had like triple that ...game was over when LAD had bases loaded and no one out T10th and didnt score . Its actually a LOCK they lose at that point always and I means always do when that happens especially after they already blew the game in the b9th maybe they can overcome it had they dont already lost momentum blowing teh game with 1 out to go but thats a double whammy....Same thinghappened earlier Milw as Pitt loaded the bases in the top inning have no out and dont score . Bottom half MILW wins it ......

LADs pen is shaky I trust Wade and Kuo and no one else....Broxton is not a closer in tight games and Park is no setup guy IMO...if they dont get Saito back a talented team could be wasted....

Funny how Torre goes to LAD and they cant hit with RISP in the same manner NY couldnt with a STAR studded lineup . I actually think with Nomar at SS the LAD lineup is the best in the NL hands down...well a tad better then Cubbies ..

Have to lean Philly-Under if I were to touch that ..................:shake:

Love the over with Bal/Chi too. However, I have a stronger bet on the Orioles team total. At 5, -110 right now at Pinnacle. The reason...neither Griffey or Dye are expected to start. GL to everyone.

i need the Dodgers to win but don't see it happening tonight after last night's debacle and the rest of the series going as poorly as it did

Weabble: I get a kick out of these guys needing days off from playing baseball. CWS need as many wins as they can get & they are resting 2 of their big bats that by the way make huge $$$. What a joke, a baseball player needs a day of rest from a game that takes about 2.5 hrs to complete.

In there defense its not the game itself but the mental aspect I think . Hectic life jumping on and off planes every 3 days for much of 5 months . After doing for 10-15 years I would think it has to be draining . Not sure I would rest both though and especially since Dye is smoked a couple Hrs the other day . Let him DH give Thome or Jr a day off maybe both . Think its more mental fatigue and sometimes with the older guys aches and pains .

SportsNut: Very nice call on the Mets! Texas got to Meche again tonight, unreal he has been tossin it real good, but for some reason the Rangers have his #. KC has 12 hits in 4.1 inn off him.

:popcorn:Hectic life jumping on & off planes for 15 yrs, let these guys try doin it for 150k/yr instead of 10 mil/yr. Unless they are in an awful slump or hurt they should be in the line each & every day imo.

Hoping theypull it out or somehow the game stays under . Like that texas pen is gonna be thin so just get it close and got a good shot still..I wasnt impressed with meche @ NYY but based on the fact he retired 17 straight at CLE thought it was just 1 start but guess it wasnt...

Thanks . Did okay on it but wish I was little more confident in it (mets , -1.5 and over ). Got scared when it dropped 30 cents...Pelfrey said the other day he just doesnt fear major league hitters anymore and approach every pitch like it has to be perfect because they are the best hhitters in the world and if nots they are gonna hit it.........

hear that. Its not them asking out of the lineup though on most days . I am just saying if you want them to perform at peak they need a break every once in awhile ( say 4 or 5 days off a season ) . Clearly overpaid but it also makes it more stressful when so much is on the line..Just a different perspective ..heck I am 5 weeks short of 34 and certainly dont workout like a pro athelete and dont feel like a day over 18...so fatigue physically would never be an issue for me either ...there life is easy .....

Good hit CLE backers ..crazy how they were in the same jam again in the b8th and escaped ....crap game for me had DET ML and CLE +1.5 RL....

Dodgers - 7 games without a total greater than 3 runs, climaxing tonight with 16 baserunners for no runs. And a certain someone's hot start for his new team is well and truly 0-for-4-ver (9-38 last 11 games, hitting a whopping .236, w/1 lousy extra-base hit).

Manny who?
